☀️ Say something nice about above user's art

Please make sure to read the rules carefully! They are not long and are here to make sure everyone has a good time and nobody has to be banned

Rules:

  • You must fill your claim within 12 hours! Failing to fill the claim will result in you being skipped
  • Make sure everyone can view your gallery! If you have +18 content make sure it's tagged so that minors can't view it!
  • No passive aggressive or backhanded comments, or anything that could be read as negative or hostile. If you don't like someone's art, don't claim that user. This is a compliment thread, not a critique thread!
  • You can post again after three new posts have been made after yours!
  • If you have already claimed a user once, feel free to compliment one specific piece from their gallery! This is to prevent the game from being clogged
  • Your comment must be at least two full sentencesTry to put effort into your comment, and if you can't think of anything nice to say, maybe don't claim that person at all.

This is not targeted at anyone in particular, but just a reminder that even though cutting your long sentence into two shorter sentences technically gives you the minimum two you need to participate, it's an extremely scummy tactic and absolutely not fair for the person you're claiming! If you can't think of anything nice to say, wait for someone else who you can give a proper reply to. I'm sure you wouldn't want a clearly low effort response either

Banned users:

N/A. Let's keep it that way!

3 warnings = ban from the thread. However, in really big problem situations (insulting and slandering etc) the ban might come immediately

If someone hasn't finished their claim or otherwise causes you trouble, feel free to DM me so I'll give a strike! Please also notify me if someone doesn't follow through the minimum sentence count either!

I'm very fond of how you draw anthros specifically, they look so scruffy. The amount of detail you put into the fur ends up looking super pretty, on top of that your style is very retro looking so he texture compliments it. Whatever effect you put on your lineart makes the colors pop nicely as well. Overall, I love how bold your art is, your colors and rendering is immediately recognizable to me. The roughness applies to pretty much every subject you draw and I think that's very skillful, your most recent piece is probably my favorite because of the characters pose and background. I'd like to see more of this character!

i love the way you make your art so cartoon-like!! it gives a feel of it popping out and i find that very aesthetically pleasing :] i think my favorite art peice of yours is this one, i find it very funny but also pleasing to look at. in your full color drawings the lineart somehow makes the color pop out, even if it is soft!! i think that's what i like about your art the most :]

I really admire your willingness to not only regularly include multiple characters in a drawing, but have them actually interacting with each other. I love seeing character interaction pieces like you do as it gives a real sense of personality and depth to the characters. I also enjoy that your gallery has a huge breadth to it too with how you do both digital and traditional art, while also experimenting with different mediums in your traditional pieces.

HOLY, your art is fantastic! The way you depict expressions is just amazing, it's so lifelike and beautiful. Your art has this amazing realistic quality that I find awesome. And the way you shade and render your pieces, it's seriously impressive. The attention to detail in your work is superb, and it makes each piece stand out in such a wonderful way. Keep up the awesome work!

Your art is so cool! I love how you're able to draw your characters in so many dynamic poses. It brings so much life to the drawing, and I love looking at all of it! You are able to successfully make each character stand out from the white background, which helps to put focus on them. Your shading is really good, and it gives an awesome 3D effect to your art. I think every piece is really fun to look at with the amazing character designs, and how you put colors together (this is a great example) really adds a nice finish. Good work!

UFOSHGU, YOUR BACKGROUNDS AND LIGHTING ARE SO GOOD. Even the ones that are technically simple are just so fun to look at. I can tell even at a glance you have one hell of an eye when it comes to colors and invoking moods through them.

as someone who tends to struggle with lighting/mood in my own pieces, i really admire how almost ALL ur art incorporates some fun glowy lighting! it really makes your art stand out in general as well as making your characters stand out to their backgrounds. i also really like how almost all your pieces have your characters interacting with their spaces, another thing i struggle with is just having my characters Stand Around but you have them in interesting places without it just looking like they're standing infront of a backdrop!

JuniperW I absolutely adore your art style! There's this wonderful angular sort of sharpness to a lot of your art which, when combined with the almost crayon-y lineart brush you use? Creates such a unique look and I absolutely love it!! Fun fact: It was one the things that genuinely made me excited when you claimed that PMD request of mine in a design thread, I was so eager to see what you'd create c:

I think pulling off an angular style can be difficult for some artists because working with straight lines can cause them to run into walls when it comes to shape language and making individual characters stand on their own, but you don't have that issue at all; Looking through your art tab, it's very clear you have a talent for using that angular style to create an absolutely beautiful amount of variation in the character designs you both create and interpret! Especially so when it comes to quadruped characters. Here's some examples I really like that I think illustrate my point quite well, all of these four-legged characters look unique and different with the way you've interpreted them all while sticking to that art style: 1, 2, 3, 4

It can also sometimes limit how much an artist is able to portray detail but again, not an issue you stumble upon at all which is so impressive!! You can especially see that here in this piece with Super Shadow, even something as small as the detailing on his shoes absolutely blows me away. I also really, really like how you shade things! These two pieces especially look stunning to me, I love the lighting here: 1, 2

Anyway, do pardon the ramble but overall? You are a very talented artist, keep up the fantastic work!

i admire your use of color within your artwork, and your use of expression. I also admire how you use cartoonish aspects to push the goal your trying to provide within your artwork as a whole. its really inspiring to see your use of expression to tell emotion to whoever is viewing your art, and your clean lines and colors only help your case. so good job, keep doing well.

The exaggerated expressions/faces are really unique, and I don't see these kind of styles often, like at all. I really like the overall toon art style, I can definitely see what you've taken inspiration of, and that you're not afraid to push and exaggerate things. The colour palette and shapes feels like something out of an old animated show, and I like that. :3

eep finally i caught you (muahaha)! I really love the way you color, it honestly reminds me of the PBS Kids shows Elinor Wonders Why, and Nature Cat! Your art is super pleasant and nostalgic to look at, and colors and background elements are well chosen!

next response ping me!

edit: AAAA TYSM!!!! i really appreciate it

everlasting_ice - i like the mix of digital & traditional art in your gallery ; i started off drawing exclusively traditionally so seeing it makes me want to pick up a pencil for the first time in forever!! i love this piece in particular, it's really fun and colorful & all the stickers are too cute! i also really like the way you do poses, the chibi fullbodies you have for example do a great job at portraying character without the need for a whole bunch of detail! & even though i'm only vaguely aware of object shows, i can appreciate how you match the style so perfecstly, even down to the lineart style! side note, your DST ocs are so cool ^_^ (next person, i have my gallery here + extra stuff on my tumblr blog !)

edit THANK YOU !! taking ur kind words to heart, it really means a lot <33
