Please make sure to read the rules carefully! They are not long and are here to make sure everyone has a good time and nobody has to be banned

Rules:

  • You must fill your claim within 12 hours! Failing to fill the claim will result in you being skipped
  • Make sure everyone can view your gallery! If you have +18 content make sure it's tagged so that minors can't view it!
  • No passive aggressive or backhanded comments, or anything that could be read as negative or hostile. If you don't like someone's art, don't claim that user. This is a compliment thread, not a critique thread!
  • You can post again after three new posts have been made after yours!
  • If you have already claimed a user once, feel free to compliment one specific piece from their gallery! This is to prevent the game from being clogged
  • Your comment must be at least two full sentencesTry to put effort into your comment, and if you can't think of anything nice to say, maybe don't claim that person at all.

This is not targeted at anyone in particular, but just a reminder that even though cutting your long sentence into two shorter sentences technically gives you the minimum two you need to participate, it's an extremely scummy tactic and absolutely not fair for the person you're claiming! If you can't think of anything nice to say, wait for someone else who you can give a proper reply to. I'm sure you wouldn't want a clearly low effort response either

Banned users:

N/A. Let's keep it that way!

3 warnings = ban from the thread. However, in really big problem situations (insulting and slandering etc) the ban might come immediately

If someone hasn't finished their claim or otherwise causes you trouble, feel free to DM me so I'll give a strike! Please also notify me if someone doesn't follow through the minimum sentence count either!

I love how fun and expressive everything. Your character looks so lively and fun. I especially love your choice in colors. Seems you favor a lot of bright and pastels and more muted colors which is easy on the eyes.

Ressy Your art is so colorful and clean-looking! It looks like you use some sort of textured brush for the lineart? I like how it looks, it goes nicely with all the vibrant colors, I think. It all pops and it's really pleasing to look at. You do a pretty good job with hair, too!

v Ahhh gosh thank you so much;; especially about the eyes, I've always waffled on how to do them :'D

@afternath Your lineart is really clean/smooth, and you can draw lots of different creatures pretty well! They have a lot of different facial expressions as well, so kudos to you for having so much variety and well-roundedness (is that even a word) in your art, since that's something I struggle with. For some reason I'm also drawn to your eye style. I'm not sure what it is about the way you draw eyes but... I really like it. It's like their simplicity just adds to their expression and intention.

You have a very good grasp of animal anatomy and how to create depth and dimension with your coloring. I really like the 'I follow the moon' piece because the shading is extraordinary and gives out an impressive sense of depth and muscles beneath. The 'Rebel's smile' piece is also quite astounding; your attention to the details of fine fur on the face is truly stunning. Asides from your painting pieces, I also think that your pixels work deserves a praise; they're nicely done and certainly shown the hard work you've put working on them.

Your shading is unreasonably good and so is your grasp of human anatomy! Your art's the kind of art that I could imagine being official art for something; it's that good imo. I like your use of colors, too!

I love how soft and kind of....... squishy your characters look!

Not squishy in like a - I dunno, like it's something actually squishy, but like I feel like I could pick up your characters and hug them. Like they're plushes! The shapes are round and fun and like if I embraced them, they'd be cuddly. It's also in the eyes - the way you simplify them reminds me of the buttons stiched on a stuffed animal, which is very pleasant in unison with the simple shapes. You also tackle animation, which is cool! I feel like your style is actually pretty conducive towards animation, and I'd looooove to see you experiment with that even more. Your art is already lively and endearing in your shapes and color choices, and even something as simple as having characters bounce really brings them to life. Gah! I wanna squeeze it!!

Glitterbark I love how you color stuff ?? like it looks so soft and paint-like it's just super pretty ? the lighting is super soft and warm too and the colors you use are so relaxing to look at? honestly the way you color reminds me of ice cream I just want to lick it. it reminds me a lot of the dappervolk artstyle too which is honestly fucking great (idk is that rude to compare ???) honestly all you need to know about my opinion on your art is that it's fucking great and I love the colors and you make quality characters as well so like, keep going !! I love it

flockwork I super super love your comfort with varied faces, ages, etc! it's like reverse sameface haha, you draw characters with such uniqueness to them that theyre really easy to tell apart just from things like facial structure, which is something i personally find really really nice in design <3 (and i love to see more older characters, especially drawn looking old...) in addition, your expressions are really strong! you convey emotions really clearly :-3

OK BRO WHERE DO I EVEN START. your art has a fuckton of personality!!! whether it's the expressions or the way you line or the colors, it's all really easy to associate with you all the time! and that's great!!! I'm personally a sucker for this kind of style, with the colored lines and cartooney feeling, plus your sprite work is really good too!!! i just... really luv yr art... should i also mention how well you incorporate two people or more in the same picture!!! cuz u do!! oh man

imma start off that i really love the minimalist and simpleness of your style! sometimes, art styles or design with a lot of details can be really hard to read, but you keep your focus straight to the point! due to this strength, I can already see you take advantage of this simplistic style to add details around the character, but yet still keeping the focus on the characters intact! it also seems you're really good at framing (i can see it especially in this piece), so it adds more attention to the focus! i can also see you're trying to reach out to more expressive poses, which works really well with your style! if you can learn to push your facial expressions along with it, i bet your art will end up looking more magnificent than it already does..!!

here's my dA, but if you wanna look through my toyhouse page for my endless amount of sketches, then u can??

@Patatoponch They way your lineart and colours go together is gorgeous! The thin lineart really brings more attention to your colouring and choice of colours, and honestly in each piece they're really, really nice to look at! There is this certain minimalism to your style and everything in general I honestly really dig + dark outline lineart and then lighter inner linearts are honestly always a delight to look at ;_; I'm particularly liking this piece here because it shows really nicely your skills in composition and making the background elements part of the image without meshing them together with the character, or without taking the focus away from the character. Also, I actually had to do a double take to see if you had used a matte texture there or something, but your lineart + colour combo just created the illusion and imo that's super impressive
