☀️ Say something nice about above user's art

Please make sure to read the rules carefully! They are not long and are here to make sure everyone has a good time and nobody has to be banned

Rules:

  • You must fill your claim within 12 hours! Failing to fill the claim will result in you being skipped
  • Make sure everyone can view your gallery! If you have +18 content make sure it's tagged so that minors can't view it!
  • No passive aggressive or backhanded comments, or anything that could be read as negative or hostile. If you don't like someone's art, don't claim that user. This is a compliment thread, not a critique thread!
  • You can post again after three new posts have been made after yours!
  • If you have already claimed a user once, feel free to compliment one specific piece from their gallery! This is to prevent the game from being clogged
  • Your comment must be at least two full sentencesTry to put effort into your comment, and if you can't think of anything nice to say, maybe don't claim that person at all.

This is not targeted at anyone in particular, but just a reminder that even though cutting your long sentence into two shorter sentences technically gives you the minimum two you need to participate, it's an extremely scummy tactic and absolutely not fair for the person you're claiming! If you can't think of anything nice to say, wait for someone else who you can give a proper reply to. I'm sure you wouldn't want a clearly low effort response either

Banned users:

N/A. Let's keep it that way!

3 warnings = ban from the thread. However, in really big problem situations (insulting and slandering etc) the ban might come immediately

If someone hasn't finished their claim or otherwise causes you trouble, feel free to DM me so I'll give a strike! Please also notify me if someone doesn't follow through the minimum sentence count either!

I think the first thing I noticed about your art was just how good grasp you have of anatomy and MUSCLES especially! This shows really well in pieces like this and I'm looking at all those muscles in awe honestly. Both your linearted and more painterly styles are pleasant to look at & I always have a lot of respect for artists who can match and mix and switch around with styles as it creates an interesting variation in the gallery! Also I'm SUPER loving your newest piece because the colours, composition and especially lights and shadows show SO well in there and show your artistic strengths perfectly (also, the dragon's hands are so detailed they're to die for!)

First off, please allow me to say how much I admire your pixel work! They're very well done, I'm especially fond of the 'snowing' piece because the cape, even though in pixel style, looks wonderful and the motion of the fabric being flow-y is exceptionally realistic. Also not to mention that with all the tiny details on his costume, you truly deserve a praise for having so much patience to add them and make the costume stands out.

As for your main art style, I like how delicate everything is, the way you draw the lines and the color palettes you chose for your work. When they come together, they make your artwork very charming and give out a sophisticated vibe. And then there's the way you do the BG in your art...I'm not sure my brain can compose coherent words for it, just that I find it really intrigued of how you use the 'basic' stripes BG then add a bit of pattern and this enchanting BG comes as a result? That art-nouveau style frame on Henri's full body piece is my favorite. I feel like I could learn so much from you on making such lovely BGs without having to torture myself through perspective and heavy painting.

@sashka I admire the way you can draw both chibis and regularly proportioned humans so well. The chibis are absolutley adorable, and their antics really portray the character’s personalities. Your character designs have a lot of beautifully detailed clothing; it looks very textured and shiny, like you could reach out and touch it, and your chibis manage to capture that detail even while scaling it down. I also like how well proportioned your humans are, even when drawing them in difficult poses. I honestly haven’t seen many personified battleship designs before, but you manage to take the essence of the ship design and humanize it very well.

I love the colors you pick to shade with! You have a very good sense of what looks appealing, while still conveying a sense of 'realism'. I also love the thick lines you use, they make the characters look bold, stylish, and fun. Your eyes are pretty simple, and they convey a lot of personality in just a few shapes, which is great. Your art is ultra expressive and never feels stiff; I feel like I could see these characters moving in a ton of different ways and occupying both narrative and artistic space. Speaking of your characters - I love them! Especially your bug people. I'm particularly fond of here!, and my tumblr is here.

aaa I wish i could see more of your work!! But from the 2 pieces you have, I think you had a lot of nice skills!! your sense of proportion is really nice and so is Cy's character design!! the blues and greys in her design play really nicely off of eachother!

for starters, looking at your whole body of work on TH i really like the variation you have!! going from semi-realistic to tiny cute chibis is really fun and makes me wonder what else you can do which is definitely a good thing! I think you have a good sense of posing, especially with placing hands in an interesting way!! as for the constructive criticism part of this on the first 2 pieces, I totally like the direction you are going in! the sharpness is nice because it defines shapes and has an overall cool style vibe, however for some advice I think you should definitely throw back in some curves so its not all angles! angles/sharps alone can make things flat and stiff, and juxtaposing curves/straights together is usually pretty visually pleasing! heres a small tutorial on the matter that i think is quite helpful and i hope this tip will be useful on your artistic journey! /o/

I love how clean your line art is, the cel shading with airbrush blending is super clean and pleasing to the eye. You also mix in textures with your art which is a nice subtle touch!!

@citriina Suddenly I feel like I might have claimed you in the past sdfg whoops I'm sorry if I did, I try not to be repetitive if that's the case

You draw such a pretty headshots! It's really clear you put a lot of effort into details like face shapes a lot time and effort and it gives a really nice realistic look to your art! Overall the facial features are super nice, your style is stylized yet somewhat realistic as well so the way you draw stuff like noses and lips really compliments your overall style and keeps it consistent! I also admire the fact you're not afraid to put multiple people with different poses into the drawing like here and the results are really pleasing to look at!

As a side note kind of, I really like this image: it definitely shows your skill in character designing!!

FOR STARTERS I really love how clean your works are!!  you use a lot of thinner linework and big blocks of color with minimal shadows and it gives your works a really sharp finish, even the ones that are sketches! I love when you do full scenes because the mood and lighting is always spot on and it looks SO good, these ones in particular stand out to me! link (biased-//hit) link link the colorplay and lighting in these are really really nice!! I also really like your minimal backgrounds with the vertical lines, they give those pieces a storybook quality and are super cute!!

ALSO YOUR PIXELS DANG!? i've been practicing getting better at pixels so they are not my forte but all your pixels look clear and sharp! i particularly like this set the heavy shadow really makes them pop!
