(did I delete my previous claim? yep. Have these characters interacted on the forums already more than once? yes. but did I fall asleep in the back of the car and dream up a response like half an hour ago? absolutely. so claiming once again sorryyyy :])

falling asleep again as we speak so a bit of a delay but I’m almost done with it so will update this as soon as I wake up <3))

FINISHED let’s go

—————————

Aiken sat with his legs criss-crossed improperly on the chair.

He eyed the pie in front of him suspiciously, unwilling to let his guard down. He toyed with the idea of declining, he could never be certain who to trust after all, though the thought made his stomach rumble in protest. It had been days upon days since he’d had a proper meal…worst case scenario he could either die by poison or by starvation, and if he were to die he’d rather do so having had a warm last meal.

Hardly phased by the fact he knew what he was eating was comprised of insect meat, he hesitantly yet eagerly lifted the spoon to his mouth. Oh. It was delicious.

He was still too shy to speak much, though he hoped is gratitude at least showed in the way he found himself wolfing down his meal, as indignant as it might’ve been.

—————————

Does potion craft count as cooking? Who’s to say. Either way it’s all Aiken had to offer.

You would think that potion brewing and cooking would be similar enough a craft to cover proficiency of both skills…and you would be wrong. Not to mention in the dead of winter most of the ingredients necessary for the approximately three things he kind of knew how to make weren’t exactly readily available.

He put the glass bottle down on the table, the liquid inside an unnatural purple hue. There was a tag on it as well, presumably meant to indicate its magical effects, though his handwriting was too scratchy to be comprehensible. He stammered through an apology, only about as coherent as the labels on his potions.

Gray Noctis StarCyan

ramyune (pinging since it's been almost 3 weeks)

The sight of the meal laid in front of him gave Gray a chuckle. It brought to mind his days of dorming in college, and the antics that would occur from him and his dormmates in the kitchen. The haphazard mashup of partially charred dough and meat filling was absolutely something that he and his dormmates would be eating for breakfast at 8pm. But he didn't want to offend this woman since she did at least try.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I wasn't laughing with malicious intent. Quite the opposite really. This reminds me of being in university, when me and the other three guys I lived with would put our heads together in the kitchen and come up with this." The indigo-haired man responded. With the utmost confidence, Gray shoveled a forkful of the meaty dough mixture into his mouth. After all, even in the worst case scenario of it being toxic, it wouldn't do much harm to him anyway.

There certainly was an attempt made at something. The taste itself was passable, but the overcooked meat and dough were dry. Considering that Gray always liked his meats with a lot of juice in them, the food's lack of moisture made it a challenge to stomach. He did manage to get though all of it, to avoid coming off as rude. and was now parched.

"You have...my grandest gratitude for this meal." he uttered with a bow and a forced smile before being on his way.

Gray had been polishing up his culinary abilities, and he figured an opinion from outside of his family would be of value.

A lot of noise could be heard from the kitchen as he was doing his thing, in addition to him narrating key steps.

"Our valiant culinary warrior readies his weaponry..." Gray begins, followed by the clanging of pots and utensils. "Now a relentless effort to wittle down his opponent..." he continues, accompanied by a heavy object hitting what sounds like a soft surface repeatedly. "Follows up with a series of rapid strikes, reducing the opposition to mere fragments!" he announces, while a sound akin to chopping can be heard. "He finishes off, with a flaming hot finale!" he yells, alongside a short moment of sizzling.

When everything's done at last, Gray leaves with the kitchen with a sharp-toothed smile and a plated ribeye steak. The steak is cooked rare, with a brown sear on the outside and blood-red inside, the way he and his family like them.

"Oh, right. I tend to narrate my actions. It's a habit from work. May you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it." Gray adds humbly, as he sets down the plate.

Moxie Dequinox

Moxie can barely wait to eat what Gray had made, picking up her fork and knife before the plate even touched the table. She took a big sniff, deeply inhaling the scent of steak.

"This. Smells. Delicious!!" She paused between every word for emphasis, before not wasting another second and digging into the juicy meal. She may have a taste for fish, but she won't pass up a good ribeye steak.

With her first bite, the juiciness practically exploded in her mouth, and she hummed in satisfaction at the taste. The steak was cooked just how she liked it and lived up to the show she'd heard in the kitchen.

The stake practically disappeared with how fast Moxie ate it, she found herself even licking some of the remnants off of the plate.

That was one damn good stake. (she liked it)

----------

Moxie was a well-known sushi chef in the industry, and while some people may consider that cannibalism, she considered it making use of what she was familiar with. Despite her being half-sushi herself. (Although, she is not up to be served.)

She quickly took up her ingredients to start cooking, fish, rice, salt, nori, a few vegetables, and soy sauce on the side. A simple, standard order that she made many times at the sushi bar she worked at.

She started assembling the sushi, as most of her ingredients were already prepared in her kitchen. She spread out the seaweed - nori - and spread the rice out on top, before adding in some fish and vegetables packed into a small indent she made in the rice. Moxie rolled the entire thing together and cut the strip into small sushi rolls. She grabbed a plate and lightly placed the sushi rolls together, adding some soy sauce in the corner, but not without drizzling a very small amount of soy sauce on.

She placed the plate of sushi down and added some wrapped chopsticks on the side, as well as a fork just in case the chopsticks were too complicated to use. "Bon appétit!"

Ione Alexg47

Ione took up the chopsticks and quickly used them to grab and eat one of the pieces of sushi before her. "Mmm, this is really good, though honestly I wasn't expecting any less. Maybe sometime me and my friends could make some for you so you can judge our sushi making skill as well."

Placing down a big tray, Ione smiled at the person across from her and explained "Here you go, Crispy Chicken a l’Orange, super tasty and gluten free~!"

Adrien Garcia PicklePantry

Adrien stirred the soup curiously. He'd had chicken noodle before, but not a spicy one. Couldn't be bad, right? Just a simple chicken noodle soup! He slurped the first bite. The noodles were soft, chicken was okay, but boy he wasn't kidding around with that spiciness. "Hot for sure, but it's good. Thanks."

"You see that?" Adrien smirked proudly at the grilled cheese on your plate. He held up his hand. "Five different types of cheese. Used to make it all the time and get told it was the best." He was about to explain that it was his daughter that he'd make it for, but decided against it.

 Hailey confusedthing

"Ah, thank you so much." Hailey smiled at Adrien and tried her best not to stare at the grilled cheese. The smell was heavenly and it reminded her that she was indeed starving. If there was some sophisticated way to eat it she had forgotten about it, as she noticed seconds later. "I am so sorry I forgot my manners-" at least her mouth wasn't full, "This is so good ohmygod." She just hoped he would forgive her, but he didn't exactly seem like the type to get offended at someone not sitting perfectly straight or something. Somehow he seemed more like a dad than her own dad- uh- anyway- "Whoever told you that was probably right!"

"I-.. forgot to make food." Hailey awkwardly scratched the back of her neck. "Practice and stuff... uhm... but I ordered takeout! I hope you like curry? Chicken and mango, it's really good... but uh- I'm biased, it's my favorite, heh... B-but if you prefer something else we can order that too I'm sure! So sorry for the inconvenience, but I promise it's better than anything I could've done myself anyway."

(v aww I love that! <3)

Sitri/Levia Silvaze126

"A blessing from the sea! What a splendid dish, who would I be to refuse your generosity." She happily accepts the dishes offered to her by Rox, having no hesitation in eating the meal. She was more than eager to try the dishes before her, especially with fish being her favourite. The promise of trying some offered to her was very exciting for her.

Upon eating it, it was just as much a treat as she ever could have hoped. The salmon matched her tastes perfectly, and the pasta a wonderful accompaniment.

"They were divine dishes! Thank you ever so much for your kind offer! It was truly a treat" She thanks Rox enthusiastically, a large smile on her face. "It has been a good while since I've has to eat a salmon prepared like this, it was truly wonderful!"

"Would you care to join me for a small meal? I'm not skilled at making big meals, but I had just finished making this soup for myself. You are more than welcome to have a bowl!" She slides a second bowl over, filled to the brim. Melted cheese coats the top, and Levia offers a slice of fresh bread to accompany it.

"I hope you enjoy it, French onion soup is my specialty. Oh! But I do hope you can handle your spice, I've altered the recipe quite a bit as my husband loves the bite it gives. I have lots more bread if you need it~"

Zen Yamachiche ZeCrazyAngel

The werewolf rose his eyebrows as he soon enough saw the plate "Mate!" he said "You need to lose the modesty, this looks absolutely tasty! I ain't here to complain." he commented with a light chuckle as he approached the plate to himself. It felt weird now he was having food served by her since the last time they met, she fell asleep on him out of the blue. But eh, free food is free food, he's not going to complain!

He took a bite and a soft, appreciative hum came out of his mouth "MMM!" as he finished his bite, giving her a thumbs up "It's super good! I might try with some lime, I've never had that with lime before." he said, curiosity peeking.

Zen had set out the kitchen wares as he had started working on one of the specialities his mother used to do all the time, something that he enjoyed redoing time to time. Brought him some memories when all of the quintuplets regrouped, helped make dinner all together when they were old enough, all the beautiful memories they had around this very simple dish. "It's kinda funny, to others it might not have the same value this was one of the dish me and my siblings absolutely loved when my mother said she'd make it." as he was placing some ingrediants, cooking some of them. "We'd immediately stop our fights, banters, etc, when she made those. And I one day asked my mother to show me how to make those. She loved to try recipes from different places and this one kinda sticked." this one was a mexican dish called tomatadas.

He prepared to plates, one for his guest and one for himself. He gave his guest their plate "If you want anything to drink, feel free to ask by the way!" he smiled as he sat down and looked at them "Don't forget to leave me your 5 star review on trip advisor~" he grinned jokingly.
