Mysteriously passing out, only to awaken and mysteriously find yourself on a mysterious island, with no escape? How much more tantalizingly mysterious could a scenario become, wondered Medea as she looked out across the dimly lit beach, the dawn seemingly having faded long before she had awoken. Rather than worry, Medea was relishing in the mystique of it all, the sheer unpredictability! Finding a way off the island would be the final of a plethora of mysteries in this new escapade of hers!
Already, she was scrawling away into her tome, noting the rather eerie and ethereal nature of the atmosphere. It was almost as if she had stumbled upon an island in another plane of existence. Rather than the usual sounds of nature or the waves, she could hear some sort of consistent droning. But other than that, the world was silent.
Is there any more sound in this place... I wonder~
To answer her question, she felt a hand suddenly grasp her shoulder. Undisturbed, she finished scribbling in her book before turning to see just who had approached her so silently, catching her unawares. There was no fear in her heart; someone who meant her harm would have done more than just rested their hand upon her shoulder, right?
There stood... a person? Medea couldn't be sure; their body was certainly humanoid, but their face was plain and almost featureless, save for the eyes and mouth. Pushing her glasses up her nose, she smiled cheerfully and eagerly to the being. Initially parting her lips to speak, only to find no words flowed, she instead raised her hand to wave to them.
They waved back and smiled in kind, with a positivity that matched that of the occultist's. Keeping her tome open, she scratched out a message, showing her new acquaintance in kind.
"Hello there! Pleased to meet you!"
Offering the book to the stranger, along with her pencil, she allowed them to respond.
"pleased 2 meet you 2! whats up w u? :)"
"I wish to learn more about this place! Perhaps about you if that's possible! Could you help me?"
"i don't know anything about myself..."
As Medea read this, her brow stooped apologetically, although her smile did not fade. In face, she seemed to have an idea.
"Well, lucky for you Doe, mysteries are my bread and butter... perhaps while exploring this place, we can find out more about you!"
After scribbling another message, she held out her hand and her grinned widened, trying to endear herself as much as she could to her new companion.
"I am Medea Faust! Again, pleased to meet you, my mysterious new friend~!"
