Pacify observes the furthermost bedroom, humming at its emptiness. “Well, this won’t do. This room isn’t homey at all! Anyway what days homey like a nice, big bookshelf against the way, just full of books...” she plants her hands on her hips and cocks her head, thinking. “With a secret passageway built either behind or under it. Can we do that? Do we need a permit?”
UPDATE: as of 17 June, this game is closed, in light of stock photo crediting issues and also the fact that it has been very time-consuming to maintain. To everyone who helped create this monstrosity lovely living space, thank you, and thank you for the great art that it has spawned, too! More about it in this post
A game concept that I thought might be fun. Time to put the "house" in Toyhouse??
The House
To start, there's a tiny and rather disappointing house in the middle of the green. Nothing's in it yet; the walls and floors are bare, the grounds are covered in weeds, and it has the bare minimum of facilities.
Your OCs are looking to move into this house. but it's obviously not up to their standards! Before they do, they can make some change to it, big or small. They might build a new room, plant a hedge, take down someone else's ugly decor, or knock a hole in the wall (with their fist!) because they want a better view from the living room. It's all the same house, so you can also make adjustments to others' changes. Sky's the limit!
How to play
- Claim to prevent ninjaing.
- Respond IC and say what your OC does to the house.
- IC commentary is not necessary, but would be fun. And that's it!
Rules
- You can either make changes in up to two rooms, or add a room and furnish it.
- Wait 2 posts before posting again.
- Interacting with and building on others' additions is fun, but try to avoid completely eliminating someone else's addition immediately after.
- SFW additions only!

Note that it takes me some time to update this plan + list, do read the most recent comments as well! Also, you don't have to do this to play, but it would be really helpful to me if you could link top-view solid-bg images of objects you add to the room, if you're able to find them!
Art of our humble abode
"Oh no, the other bedroom feels empty now. :( It needs something... something welcoming and cozy. How about giant Pokémon plushies? Oh, and maybe I could... add some posters from my collections on its blank walls, too..."
"Both of the bedrooms could use those glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceilings and walls of them!" Alieni says, smiling, before running into the bedrooms and sticking stars on the walls and ceilings.
Ronni, eyes half lidded, looked around the living room. She sighed deeply at all the sand getting between her toes, and her eyes started to water. “A cry zone.” Was all she said, dragging a beanbag chair into the corner, and flipped into it, already sobbing. I guess she just... wanted a beanbag there?
"Two words: Fire pit. We need one. Can be gasoline or actual fire, I don't care. Maybe make it by the pond, that would look pretty." Rune has no intention of paying for the appliance, however, and fidgets awkwardly as he awaits a response.
Salty stood in the room just outside the pantry, observing its emptiness. “Huh. This room doesn’t really serve a purpose, so... why don’t we... line this floor with carpet and just. Put a ton of lava lamps in here. Just a shit ton of lava lamps.”
"Um... I think a hammock in between two of the trees by the pond there would be nice when it's warm out."
"Ayyy the ssssecond bedroom issssssn't fanccccy enough! How about we paint itsssss wallsssss rainbow and the floor pink?" Kaleido said with a grin on his face.
"Well well, i think the bedroom at the corner may use something, refreshing" Earth took a glance at the room "There should be.. Some plants, some terrarium plants yes. Either they would be hanging or standing tidy on the desk and shelfs...Ofcourse! There needs to be desk and shelfs. And a pair of windows at the corner of the room so everyone could see the beautiful flowers outside. Not to forget blue curtains to close it."
"Quite a small home... a bit too small. How about I add another floor?" As she said that, a new story appeared on top of the house. "Well, there aren't really any rooms in it, but you guys at least have a new story to work on now?"
"OWO WOTS DIS????" Xacta ran up to the new floor. Those walls were too bare... She whipped out some glue and craft supplies and made 4 macaroni drawings to hang on the walls
Nicky explored the house, keeping to himself. Hmm..certainly there must be SOMETHING he could add--Oh. A second floor huh? P e r f e c t. The demon bolted up to the new floor, pointing to some empty corner of the room. " Right there. Nicky thinks there should be a candy store kind of thing right there!! " And that's exactly what happened. Now there shall be a never-ending supply of sweets. Hopefully...
