In December of last year I opened an art trade thread and Pythia posted asking to trade for busts or chibis. I gave people the option of who they would like to draw and provided links to said characters. At the time I was delighted with the idea of getting a matching bust set for the twins my friend rps with me. We agreed I would do a full coloured chibi for her drawing two busts, made using one base. This can be seen below:
I finished my half of the trade as can be seen here, uploaded in my stash with the original upload date. I unfortunately deleted my initial correspondence sending them the art as I didn't think there would be a problem. I didn't hear from them for some time and they weren't active on toyhouse when I checked their login time, so I wasn't overly worried. I assumed life had crept up on them and they were busy. It's a usual time for exams and I'm a firm believer in life coming first. Part way through January I sent her a note which showed up as read, but received no reply. This bothered me as I had finished my piece and it seemed polite to at least acknowledge the sent note. I left it for almost one week before noting her again. She once again disappeared and I assumed life must have come up and so I waited.
By March I was fairly annoyed. She had been logging in and had posted other art of her characters, but didn't give any hint of acknowledgment. I made it clear if no reply was given I would assume it was not longer wanted and would tweek the design into something new and trade them.
It's been some time until I've been able to act as I've been scrambling with RL issues as well as keeping up with trades with others and commissions.
Since then they have traded the character.
This isn't a callout, I just want people to be aware and possibly wary if doing trades with this person. This isn't such a bad loss, but it was still time spent that could have been spent on my own work.

Pythia has now changed accounts and is under the account name AuroraCelest. I've been informed that they are still shirking their claims, though they have uploaded their characters on art fight.

PaperTsubaki has been kind enough to provide a list of art forum threads that this user owes art on. It can be viewed in the comments section here.
Currently AuroraCelest has been banned from the forums so this will put an end to them claiming any new threads or scamming any more people for the time being on Toyhouse. It remains to be seen if they will finally do some of the art they owe.

Once again they have apparently account hopped. They also seem to have another account on DA that they have used to purchase adopts.
I noticed their claim for me in the “draw for the person above you” thread was included in the list of unfinished claims, and I just wanted to let you know that they did actually deliver the art for that claim. However, it did take two reminder PMs (the first one sent a few days after the one week deadline had passed, and the second sent over a week after their initial response to that) to finally receive the art. They posted their claim on June 8th, and I got the art on July 3rd. I’m pretty sure they never edited their post though (before they deleted it, that is), so I guess there was no public indication of my particular claim being finished. ^^;
I did notice during that time frame how many claims they had been piling up, so I’m surprised I was fortunate enough to have mine fulfilled. I hope this gets resolved soon for everyone else who is still waiting, best of luck~
Apothecary Wait they did it on a base?? Was it at least a base they made also was that allowed in the forum game?
I sorry that really sucks, I agree it does sounds like they really were just doing it to advertise.

Ngl I did find them pretty shady after they claimed me twice on 2 separate threads (atleast they finished one of those claims which happened to be the one I'm running. Perhaps she knew she'd be banned if she didn't get her claim for me done on the thread I'm moderating??? It's unfair that she didn't deliver for others on the same thread though). On an off topic note, I also looked into their gallery and found that most of the art in there wasn't properly credited (they're under her art tag even though she didn't draw any/most of it) so that also sent some red flags off for me :'D

That explains a lot! She still owes me a piece as well and I already gave up on it.. I'm hoping something will still come through though, and that it'll actually be up to some standards at least.
ah, thanks ! For to be honest, i would never thought she would be a scammer. Now, i'm annoyed, because on my thread, she didn't do her part, but i didn't too, because the owner below me doesn't reply when i'm asking a reference of their character :o . I hope we won't be stuck forever ;_;

Oh, so that's why something is pretty off. I did realize they didn't finish my claim and never messaged them about it. Thought they were still finishing it lol. Thankfully, another person has claimed me and finished their claim! So it's cool cool.
Thank you for informing me! Iam guessing she's pretty active on her DA since she was online 15 hours ago. Have you contacted her DA? Or is it a bad move? (Now that i think about it, it would be pointless since she has only read the pm on th and not finishing it)
