PSA - SCAMMER - IKASHIMA ( Possible resolution pag

:EDIT: Ikashima has issued an appology post on page 8, for anyone interested in seeing.

This is a post to alert you guys that there's been someone who's been "commissioning" artists, only to have charged back the payments after receiving the majority of their art.
There's no way to get back the money once the dispute goes out, as paypal will instantly refund that user "their money" even if you give receipts of your transaction.

The user in question currently is http://toyhou.se/Ikashima
:EDIT: their DA username was meltymilks, but the account has since today been deactivated.

They commissioned several artists the past two days, and all have receive chargeback to their accounts.
They had a deviantart, but that account seems to have been deactivated.
and they are not responding to pms.

Some people, like myself, have already spent the money they rceived, so now have a huge deficit in their paypal balance. Which means any commissions we do going forward, are solely going into paying off the "debt" we now owe paypal.

This is truely rude and unfair to the artists who've put in the effort to draw these pieces, AND who're now out the money.

If you have more to share on this subject, or know any other users who've done this in the past while, please share in the comments, so that everyone can be made aware of the situation.

Sooo, this is getting even worse, not only are just other artists coming forward letting us know they got scammed too, the adopt creators of the characters this person “purchased” ALSO got charged back.

The adopt artist so far that’ve gotten scammed were :

So, now there’s an unpaid and now owner-less adopt floating around, with a butt ton of unpaid for art of it.

Just…. amazing…

Maybe we should get in contact with lulu ? She may be able to remove the characters that they stole and ban them from TH.

So wait is that 21 artists theyve now scammed and 2 adopt artists? How is paypal letting them get away with that?

I also emailed Paypal right after I saw the chargebacks and I got a response...

The gist of it was that Paypal did an investigation, and deemed that the account holder didn't authorize the transactions.
Also, that they aren't able to cover the fee for me because it doesn't 'adhere to the specific guidelines outlined in the Paypal Seller Protection'. :)))

So yeah. Best of luck to everyone else getting out of this mess. ;^;

This list is extremely shallow, I haven't dug around the art marketplace itself, just looked on peoples profiles and DAs for info. I encourage anyone who has a commission post to share it! I will gladly bump, retweet, or reblog your post to promote your work! I encourage anyone who wants to support those effected to either toss money at someone or get commission posts to fresh eyes. Tumblr and twitter is the easiest for me to share with personally by the way!

I will be re-auctioning the adopt and set the autobid according to the overall prices.

Just a fair warning, i might or might not be able to cover all or be able to split all the money evenly or have any money to split, so just in case, do comment here in this journal http://fav.me/db3d81r your commission journal, ah, and this also applied to every victims as well.

i'd like to at least be able to help even a little bit, since it was the adopt that i designed that got into problem in the first place. //sobs

omg, not again D': I hope everyone involved will get their money back, please try to not accept commissioners with accounts old for less than a year, to avoid troubles. Also if I remember correctly years back, the Pixlet case wich involved an expensive sushidog and a crazy amount of commissioned arts was won by the artists who all contacted paypal at the same time, wich has to admit it was really a scam.

SoleilRune this is a clever and generous idea, thank you so much for doing this.
