"Forever doesn't actually last. Though... perhaps it could be?"

Perspective is written through Grandfather's daughter, Lucia - during the disappearance of Grandfather (yet again). He leaves her and her son King to care for Emil, who has been going through constant memory loss due to Alzheimer's. Despite Emil's body could never age, no expected the side effects of the Mad Cow serum to put a major toll on his mental health by forgetting most of his memories and his abilities to function like a normal individual. It was this sole reason as to why Atticus left; he couldn't seem to handle Emil when he fails to remember who his husband is.

Where are you?

Dear Papa,

Where are you?

I understand that you want to be left alone, but I miss you dearly. King doesn't show it, but I can tell he misses you (just a little bit).

You left behind this journal before you disappeared from us. I hope you don't mind me writing on it. I was never really the type of gal to write my thoughts on paper, but now... I can see why you enjoy doing this.

I'm with Emil right now, watching him carefully. He doesn't seem to remember me no matter how hard I try to explain to him. Yet he likes to tell me how pretty I am! Honestly, the way he says it, I can't get over how amusing it is.

Did you know Emil likes to sing? I didn't know that. He has such a good voice. He's just flipping between songs in the music player I bought him.

Everyday I try to remind him who you are. I try to remind him who he loves the most. Yet every time I ask, he just looks at his ring and doesn't say a thing. 'I don't know' he says. He gets confused every time.

But he treats me well. He treats King well too.

We're both working hard to get him back to who he once was. Even if this disease is incurable, we're doing our best in hopes that he'll remember you.
