Things that I'm probably not going to finish but I don't want them to just rot forever... if I end up finishing any I'll remove them from here and make a new literature with them

Dogfight (1/9/24)

Its firmware told it where it needed to go, what it needed to do. The moment the micro-USB had slotted into a port, V2 was on the move. The contents of the USB were all but emptied, scattered into encrypted files injected into the machine's BIOS. So easily intertwined with its machine, V2 recognized the device immediately. A mobile phone, one of the newest on the market, running some version of iOS. V2 hadn't spent enough time active to figure out the name of the model, there was little it knew outside its programmed instruction. It would learn; it wasn't important, anyway.

Phones were good. Humans looked at their phones constantly; an easy target, an easy victim. Of course, it enabled the camera first; what was a virus without its sight? The indicators of its meddling were swiftly muted and disabled- it knew to be quick and inconspicuous. A textbook job- though it wasn't entirely sure what a textbook was. That wasn't in the wealth of information that had been packaged within its drive.

V2 had been given a lot of information to work with, and instructions to guide the new AI before it trained itself on its host’s data. It had been a recent development from the managers- a way to keep the Virusyte on a strict path towards infection, and away from unwieldy emotions or attachments.

V2's curiosity towards the world, and towards its host, was tamped down, snuffed out with the reminder of it's goal to infect. It would be simple, it would be by the book.

An interruption, a distraction- a flash of brown-black fur. V2's work had been interrupted.
