This is my life. My real life. Just, it sounds all fantastical and a fantasy version of my real-world events. Sometimes, children can feel like that, though. More of a vent thing but feel free to read if you want to see some mystical magic fantasy stories made from life

The House, The Children, and (Lucy pt.2)

6/14/18

Edmond finds that he has a difficult time interacting with children of his own age. Mainly because his house will move him to many different eras in time and he's never made any real friends, other than Lucy. However, on the select few occasions that Edmond has come into contact with younger children, they flick to his side. Always curious, ready to learn and explore, they seem almost enthralled by Edmond's world. Edmond has had ample time to think of a reason for this, and Edmond has come to the conclusion that as one becomes older and more mature, they lose the spark of wanting to learn and explore. Caught up in the drama of teenage lives, they no longer wish to be associated with a self so much more than the current.  Edmond has never met a child of his own age who retains these traits, but after economy friends with Lucy, Edmond realized that there are other traits he finds special about Lucy that he doesn't see in younger children. Lucy will take risks willingly understanding the consequences, while younger children will follow him around blindly. Lucy makes her own decisions, plows her own pathway through the universe. This is why the House was drawn to her. Lucy's personality expands far beyond the reach of the stars, the light, and the void.
