A Easy Solution

Groaning after a long period of sitting on the cold hard ground, Clover was far from pleased he had to face this... thing. Less because of fear and more because he was hoping to crawl back home and get to slip into a nice warm bed. He wasn't sure was this a fighty thing, or was it easily startled, but he knew he had to shoo it off or atleast have it go explains it's situation so the town would open it with open arms and maybe many questions.

“Nyaaaaah! It's so BIG, nyaaaah!” Moony cooed, quick to hop of Clover’s lap and staying low to the ground started going towards it like a cat ready to tackle its prey. The once humanoid that stood maybe at 6 feet had grew to about 12, not as big as some of the dragons but it was a decent size and that alone could startle anyone out and about rather late like it was.

“Yeah, it appears to be a deer of sort that... transforms. Color me curious and surprised but sadly we still have to go have a chat with them.” The rider was still on edge but Moony seemed all for it, bounding over with loud gleaful noises that had Clover face palming. This child did not seem to catch the drift of a serious situation, which was amusing as well.

“Muuuuuunster, oh munster! My human and I wanna talk, nyah!” The deer’s ears perked up, it's head sinking lower to the ground as if ready to attack but seeing the small cat that looked harmless, it's head came back up until she was closer. Her charm was an interesting thing, more humanoid like things enjoying her energy and cute appearance while other dragons found her usually annoying and too playful for her own good.

“Yes small one, where is your human you speak of?”

“Present, sorry about her. She's still young and learning, she hasn't learned about stranger danger quite yet.” Showing himself from the bushes, the deer like creature squinted it's multiple eyes before leaning down as if looking over Closer.

“I.... see. What is it you two need? We were just about to head off....” They sounded suspicious, which Clover couldn't blame them about. Just a pair approaching with one saying the other wanted to chat with them. That had to be the start to at least one horror movie somewhere.

“I’ll try not to take up too much of your time.” Bowing, he took no time to explain the entire situation in as few words as possible. “It seems you have been startling the townsfolk. Your shifting in it's own is not all that normal to everyone and they've become fearful. I’d much appreciate if you could refrain from doing so. At least at night, the darkness tends to have their imagination go wild.”

Only half listening to Clover and staying close, Moony had found something curious for herself. In the shadow of the big thingy there were lots of eyes. Many multicolored eyes that looked almost scared to be noticed by the little dragon but with a mrow she laid on the ground, extending out a paw to the shadowy shape that at first shrank back from her. It reminded her a little bit of Basil. He blended in really well to the dark so sometimes all that was left was his nice flowers and his eyes. Watching the eyes grow into a more monstrous shape, the furry scales along her back stood up and her ears laid back. The shape moving away and vanishing again and left the little feline a little bit shaken by the thing Clover didn't seem to notice at all.

“Ah, I am very sorry about that. I’m a rider and I tend to travel mostly at night. Do give my apologies to the village but i’ll be sure to travel a ways away so they won't be bothered by us again.” Pleased, this was going rather well he had to admit. And it was always nice to meet another rider. This one was understanding to the entire situation and with a wave, Clover was glad it went so well.

“I shall, thank you so much. Have a safe trip and hope to see you again on better terms.” Waving as the deer wandered off, his smile fades as he looked down to the frightened Moon, just staring after the deer like creature but stared at it's shadow that extended a limb to wave at her and sent her just climbing the demon. Whatever it was, she was kind of glad it went too.
