Nobu Hates The 8th Day

Well, despite yesterday’s weird delivery.. Nobu now had the funds needed. Already received a new mask, so he could run delivery soon enough. Getting rid of ‘evidence’ was sort of a common deal, so nobody bat an eye when he asked for a new one..

He put it away safely. There was no job today, so it was unneeded. No, today was when he’d start learning to climb.. He hoped.. Probably not, though. If what he had looked up was correct, it was more likely they’d start with strength, probably learning how to belay.. Whatever that was. Ah yes, he knew just about nothing about climbing..

At least he had been forthcoming about that to his new trainer! So sure enough, when he arrived at the gym and got into a more sporty outfit, he was taught more about the ins and outs of climbing, rather than actually doing physical work. Part of him thought this was a waste of 200 GP, but.. Fair’s fair, he was getting pretty detailed explanations, could ask questions when needed, and even got to learn a new way to tie a rope.

He did realize he was lacking a bit in strength.. Others clearly outmatched him, but it’s not as if it hadn’t been a shortcoming in the first place. Learning how to climb might’ve been a bit early, but.. Given how some of the others in the area looked, well, if THEY could climb like that, why wouldn’t he be able to?

Violet seemed to be doing a good job as a trainer… Strange, despite that they hadn’t done any strenuous work, Nobu felt pretty tired after all that. Well, it’d definitely be awhile before he’d learn to be better at this athletics thing.. Whew.

How the heck did Poms make it look so easy…?
