Nobu Hates The 8th Day

“Alright.. Okay.” Nobu says, rather out of the blue. This caused Pompom to look up at the kitsune. He had been, just, laying on his bed for most of the day. Using his phone as a distraction. But clearly Nobu didn’t feel like doing that anyway. In the same motion as he was getting up from his bed, he put away his phone and stretched. “Right…”

“I’m gonna set up some video games.” Hearing that, Pompom visibly brightened up and jumped off of his bed all excitedly.

Tomorrow was gonna be another 8th day. Or maybe not? Hard to tell. But whatever the case was, he felt like it was a good idea to just. Try to relax with some games. He turned on his television, put it all the correct settings and pulled out his video game console. They could play some co-op or party game or something.. Pompom seemed to be all ready to play games with Nobu.. But.. Hrm.. The kitsune got an idea, so he pulled on a hoodie and walked to the door, leaving Pompom confused for the moment..

“Poms, you coming? I’m gonna ask Kushu to join us.”

"Oh!! Yes let's go get our buddy!!" PomPom happily exclaimed!

And so they did- the pair left the room, walked over to the room Kushu was allowed to use.. Knocked on the door and.. “Hey, Kushu.. You want to play some video games with us?”

The ratfolk blinked for a moment at the request. Not like she was doing anything with her time at the moment but it was quite sudden... But, she gave a chuckle and obliged anyways, "Yeah why not. I'll play some games with you dorks." She says it out of love, promise.

And so the trio walked over to the shared room and started playing games. Most of Nobu’s games had Two-Player Co-op at most, causing one of the three to sit out, swapping controllers on a game over or a lost life.. Nobu stepped out a few times after he lost, intending to get some snacks, drinks, and all that jazz.

The party games went over a bit better, considering all three of them could play at the same time, and.. Perhaps this was what the trio needed. Just a fun evening.. Before the nightmares began anew on the next day..
