Kyra's Bio

Kyra Alberti has always been a flower child through and through. She's known to literally stop and smell the roses should there be any around. Kyra admires the natural beauty of the earth from its majestic mountainsides, luscious forests, and vast open meadows. Kyra often surrounds herself with anything that brings her peace and harmony apart from the cruel reality of the world. Kyra's bohemian lifestyle fascinates and inspires those around her. However, even the prettiest gardens have their weeds. Life with its unpredictability can either make or break Kyra and her wild spirit; even when it looks hopeless, Kyra will learn to push through.

As a child; Kyra was quiet and kept to herself, mostly daydreaming or talking to plants. She preferred to march to the beat of her own drum which still rings true to this day. Unfortunately, Kyra struggled with bullies until one of her classmates stood up to them; that girl was Elizabeth 'Lizzie' O'Neale. Lizzie and Kyra were practically inseparable until Lizzie moved up the social ladder and became popular herself, leaving Kyra in the dust. Kyra wasn't sure why Lizzie was pushing her away or if she would ever see her again. Kyra had many hobbies to keep herself busy, although it made her distant from her family and friends. Kyra had a passion for Irish dance at a young age and was taught by her cousin, Tanner. Kyra would participate in many competitions until she was forced to retire for being too good. Nevertheless, Kyra would still practice her dancing and choreograph original routines as a guest dancer for local competitions. Kyra also had a passion for Irish music in general, learning how to play the Irish bagpipes and penny whistle from her paternal aunts and uncles. Kyra was also a talented artist, especially in handicrafts; her specialties were loom bracelets, knitting, paper crafts, and scrapbooking. It wasn't until Kyra discovered her knack for gardening after watching her grandmother grow a bountiful vegetable garden; after years of avoiding meat, she was inspired to take on a vegetarian diet. Her lifestyle changes were too much for her family to understand, but they got used to it eventually.

When Kyra moved to Torrine as a teen, she met Cat and Zani in high school by joining the marching band. She picked up the baton rather quickly. Kyra was the only baton twirler in the colorguard and something of a showstopper on the field. Some time before sophomore year, Kyra fell in love with her old grade school crush, Xander, over the summer. Things didn’t work out after the breakup as Kyra’s former best friend, Lizzie, came between them and made her high school life a living hell in a hand basket. When Xander rose to power as student body president with Lizzie as his vice president, Kyra knew some things that would put the whole school in serious financial danger; on the other hand, Xander would use the events of their summer fling as blackmail and a guilt trip tactic. Lizzie would often dismiss her friendship with Kyra to keep her from interfering with their student body regime. Seeing as nothing would change as long as Xander and Lizzie were around, Kyra contemplated to end her life with death by sleeping pills; that is, until she was stopped by a mysterious transfer student which turned out to be Blaze. Later, Blaze stood up for Kyra by entering the student council elections and beating Xander in his own element. Upon Blaze’s victory, Kyra was no longer ostracized by her peers and peace was restored to the student body. Kyra had developed feelings for Blaze who felt relationships were foreign to him; with patience and understanding, Kyra and Blaze’s love for each other bloomed ever since. 

College was somewhat peaceful, until Xander and Lizzie waltzed back into her life.  While Kyra did her best to avoid the two, she met another obstacle in the form of Kian's twin brother, Sky. Kyra had to make sure she wasn't catching feelings for him, but something about him caught her eye. Even after college, Kyra can't help but wonder about Sky.

Kyra's passions were her driving force as she found work as an agricultural specialist. While this earned honest pay, she would rather become a local farmer herself, growing organic fruits and vegetables without industrial interference. In Rise of the Enchanted, Kyra finds a sacred talisman that allows her dominion over the earth and flora. Kyra has much room to grow still...
