I BELIEVE I CAN FLLYYYYYYY

A few days after the incident, Rayden had been sidestepping his friends a lot where he could, the circle of trouble makers being far too nosy for their own good. He simply knew it would be a pain if they questioned his sudden change in fashion from the sweat bands to a less itchy pair of fingerless gloves day to day. The bruising went away after the first day, but he didn't want to rough house with them so soon. Most days it was simply him finding odd places to eat lunch instead of hanging out in the cafeteria. It was kind of weird eating with just his dragon, but Darkness was more than happy to keep the other company and fly him up to heights normal people couldn't catch him in.

He wasn't meaning to avoid Adam as well, though it was nice having less shit to deal with in the day. The fiery red head did seem to be acting more tame for some reason however? Maybe it would be best to let them know he really didn't care about what happened at his last sleepover. Rayden figured he got what he deserved so they were cool.

Getting a gentle pet from his dragon, it seemed they agreed as well, making the blond boy sigh. "Alright, let's go find him before lunch is over," He gave in, hopping up on Darkness to go back inside on an Adam hunt. The flirty male wasn't normally too difficult to track down.

Thankfully busy in his own way, Adam was still that friendly dick so many seemed to adore, with equal amounts of people hating him for the charm and violent nature he could have. He wasn’t just busy with people though, after one of his teachers had a new clutch of eggs, they were struggling to get them upstairs to where they could be watched more easily. It was only three eggs, but those three eggs qwee quite big and heavy, and hard to carry up even in pairs, let alone three. Figuring he could help out the rather young teacher with a pretty ginger husband of his own, as his hands touched one of them it began to hatch. All three eggs the teacher had hatched, leaving Adam with small, lizard-like dragons who were so happy to cuddle up to him. THe burnette didn’t even seem to mind, just shrugging it off and helping him clean up the remains of the egg and find him a nie box to keep the three in for the duration of the trip home or through class day.

Being so small, Adam didn’t dare keep them in his pocket like Rai. So the joys of getting a terrarium set up for them to enjoy left him forgetting just how many days passed by and how little he saw that pretty blond he loved to bother. Which was probably good for Rayden, as it was made clear before that if he wanted to bother him then he would.

“Thinking about the small pipsqueaks again?” Rai asked from the comfort of Adam’s shoulder, slowly crawling under his shirt and making it look like an alien had invaded his body until he finally slithered out to his pocket.

“Yeah, they’re even smaller than you, and so tired all the time...” Kaz had said that was normal, but he still worried a bit.

“It’s fine, he told you so!”

“Eh...” Pulling out the necklace with a ring attached as he felt around for his wallet and keys, about to head out to grab some food for lunch even if it was getting late in that period, that glimmering treasure caught someone's eye within a moment. Not noticing the other as he was shuffling through his bag and looking over one of his books to scribble a note in, he noticed soon enough.

Reaching out to grab it without so much as a hello, Adam didn’t hesitate to flip them right over the stairwell, just the loud thud and groan from the other student was heard and now resting at the bottom a male laid sprawled out. Looking over the rails, that look of pure hatred that many got from Adam without realizing it was being shot down at the other, tucking his necklace back into his shirt as he mumbled.

Even before he checked the cafeteria Rayden could tell the other wasn't anywhere to be found in the large gathering. He had to admit, the whole bonding thing was pretty useful in cases like this. Able to feel that pull of Adam's location further along, he headed on down the halls, glancing around as he went. They weren't distressed or sad or anything dumb like that, so he was probably over thinking things, but deep down, the possibility of being misunderstood still bugged him.

Clinging onto his back, Darkness shrieked quietly next to his rider's ear. He was being less shy while at school since a lot of his friends thought the living smoke cloud was dope as hell. It pleased Rayden to see his companion becoming more social, reaching up to stroke the armed noodle. Glad to finally be able to understand them as well, the dark dragon was telling him that they could see Adam on the stairs. With their true sight or some other dark dragon magic nonsense he wasn't sure, but it worked. Nodding, he rounded the corner to see that red hair standing out against the pasty school walls.

Just about to call out to them, he had the perfect angle to witness the grabber reaching for something glinting in the lights.. Aaaand being tossed like a ragdoll over the railing down two flights of open air. The blond could hear that thud all the way from the top. What was even more obvious was that rush of utter disdain suddenly infecting him from the second bond. Not a hint of regret for the action. Rayden did wave Darkness down to check on the other groaning on the ground. It was one hell of a toss, but there was no crimson blood pooling so they hadn't cracked their skull. Maybe a bone if they landed wrong, but that could be healed.

Sliding down those railings himself, Rayden made his way up next to Adam, whistling as if impressed. "One hell of a throw, guy even had like five inches on you. What happened?" He had a guess, but wanted to hear it just to make sure.

Huffing as he looked down the stairs, the other looked to be in pain but looking up to those red angry eyes the other male knew it was best to accept his punishment. Adam was that casanova that would charm many he wanted, but he had that edge of troublemaker who cared nothing for anyone either. He slept with people, but that didn’t mean he liked everyone that may be pretty enough to get dicked.

“I think Rayden is close, I feel gayer than normal.” Having at least a good laugh about that, sure enough he too could feel Rayden moving closer.

“You are right, there he is.” Dusting off his hands, he turned to the other male who must have found him through their bond. Darkness floated off to check on the victim of the day, but wasn’t the only one as a few others crowded now to hear the story of how the other ‘fell’ after tripping over their two feet. A believable story if Adam was asked, and what he was sticking to as well.

“No clue what you’re talking about, Rayden. He fell, didn’t you hear him?” Starting to head down towards the commotion, he didn’t hide the fact he was lying to Rayden, even the sarcastic tone could be heard between the two of them as he headed down the last flight of stairs to leave the now gathered guards and other students who were checking over the injuries and helping him. He grabbed a few papers and books that scattered and stuffed them back in the bag. Once he was past the chaos and heading out the door though, Rai popped his head out to answer Rayden who kept following them.

“He touched the pretty ring, even I can’t touch it unless Adam tells me to go get it for him.”

“Maybe he learned his lesson too, who knows though.” Adam was feeling like pizza today, and thankfully there was a parlor down the road and in easy walking distance. “Coming for pizza? Or staying in school?”

Raising an eyebrow at the lie, Rayden merely snorted as he headed downstairs a step behind Adam "Right, sorry hearing isn't all that great, kids were extra loud this morning." Maybe it was those lingering feelings of anger from his tutor, but even as they passed by the fallen kid, he couldn't bring himself to feel even a shred of pity for them. All he could really do was sympathize with that cold hearted glare, but even he hadn't been prey to that much hatred while the darkness lit up those bright red eyes.

A helpful dragon with a bleeding heart, Darkness was doing his best to pat and try to ask the other if they were okay, but of course they couldn't understand the gentle rees. The best he was able to do was gather up the books and papers into a nice neat pile for them to pick up once they were up again. Hearing the silent call from his rider though, he gave the poor sore fellow one last pat on his hand before drifting off to follow the boys out the door. He was a little confused as he wiggled over to slide himself into Rayden's shadow. The blond rider was feeling strangely pleased for some reason. As long as they weren't upset at Adam for what they did though, Darkness was happy too.

Feeling quite the opposite, Rayden knocked a few heads himself for stupid reasons, even if he was never that level of vicious. He liked the fact that he got off so much easier than that poor guy though. Not even a question if they were okay or not. "Yeah, I guess I could go for some pizza." Tapping the red head's shoulder first, he waited for them to stop and turn before leaning in to press his lips up against theirs in a kiss. He might not be well versed in them, but Adam was always going on and on about wanting one whenever he tackled him into the ground for running away. Hopefully that one would be enough as a sorry and appreciation for finding out how much worse it could have been touching that ring. "On you of course."
