Murder Autumn Ball

Blue || B-O-V-S-A-S-F-B

A steady stream of people are approaching the former Abbott mansion in Inner Tanim, its exterior festive with autumn-themed decor and glowing in the sunset. The partygoers are dressed in a variety of traditional clothes fit for a ball, faces obscured by a variety of colorful masks. The main event will be in the mansion's ballroom, where food tables are set up along the side, decorated with more autumnal colors and illuminated by a warm glow from its chandeliers that glints off the room's golden trim, but attendees are free to roam through most of the wing. Just don't stray too far! Because as the citizens of Tanim begin to fill the building, something else may be brewing below the surface...

Jesun || Z-P-P-A-K-B

Zoe walks in and gives the room a good glance over, lowly whistling. She mutters, both to herself and Bella next to her "Damn, you should've kept the place."

Piper, in comfortable but fitting attire, walks along with Adrien as a means of being somewhat of a translator and also attendance buddy.

Ami is supposed to be there, but halfway to the mansion as she walked she realized she forgot her mask. She had to quickly run back to get it, shooting a message on her PDA.

Adrien is. Kind of uncomfortable! Face hidden by a mask, he shuffles in next to Piper, absolutely not in his element and very much afraid of being recognized. But! At least he had a friend there. Wearing a ballroom-adapted fusion of the traditional xyphenese WRF garb and his own romanician heritage, he gives the whole thing a big long look, trying to spot where all the exits and points of danger are.

Cappy ||💀-🎀-🎊-👁-🔥-🌊

Ryan feels rather weird to be around people again like this, but he so strongly craved the feeling of it that he couldn't resist the pull to come. Thankfully his mask covered any brief moment of discomfort he may have had walking inside. He just had to summon every ounce of pretentious he used to pretend to have and he'd do just fiiiine.

Liesie attended for the sake of appearances and for the sake of whatever contribution she could give, Norman in arm. Also she adores the atmosphere of fancy ballroom parties. She seems rather lax despite the oncoming tension.

 Aaron is kinda just moping around being stupid for the time being. He's trying to keep on the downlow but one cannot help but stick their fingers in the food bowl without much consideration to his fancier surroundings.

Allen was eager to be part of this years festivities but he also seems rather calm and collected. He hopes he can enjoy what the night will bring.

Harriet is probably here someplace just npc but if u wanna interact with her feel free man she chillin'.

Bella laughs quietly and links her arm through Zoe's. "Wasn't really worth the upkeep, unfortunately. Maybe I can buy it back later and make it an orphanage or something, I'm sure he would've just loved that."

Opal is here! With Lilith! She's bouncing on her toes a bit, looking around, but the weight of her slingshot in her pocket is a little reassuring at least. She gives a cheerful wave to Piper and Adrien!

 Sicily is gonna wait for Ami!

Ava arrived alone today, just ghosting along quietly through the crowd. Don't mind her.

Skye is also here! They give an appreciative hum at the aesthetic, feeling a little thrill of anticipation as they enter the ballroom. Looking around, they wander on over to Piper and Adrien. "Hiiii, Adrien, looking good. Hiiii, Adrien's handsome friend who I've never met."

Flynn's around but like back at the rebel base cause he'd be way too fucken recognizable no matter what he does

Knoxy/Bethany || Lilith - Evan

Lilith's strolling along with Opal. She has a calm composure, despite being in enemy territory. ... Admittedly, she's missed little events where she could dress up like this, but that's kind of at the back of her mind right now.

Evan admits that he thinks going to this sort of thing would be fun, but he knows he's not stealthy enough for this. So he's watching everyone from the cameras in base and just! Giving moral support!! He's wearing his outfit anyways despite not attending in person because he feels festive! .... Seeing Ava dressed up though makes him wish he'd went in person....

As lowkey scared as she is to step out into the normal world all over again after everything, the amount of excitement Kisa has is overpowering it enough to join in on rhese festivities. Sporting a cute pink dress and having yellow and fake gold accents, Kisa is enjoying the sights of the festival. She made sure to wear a cute cat-esk mask to helo hide her identity.

Mari wasnt about to pass up this festival as soon as she realized she could go. As very obvious of a candy she was, having freshly yeeted and not having set off any red flags to those around her yet gave her the ability to walk freely amongst the crowd. Using makeup to hide her features instead of a mask, Mari will be gladly enjoying the festival in solidarity. THEYRE BOTH NPC KUZ NEMO HAS TO WORK feel free to drag them around though

Cat-Bennie || Sebastian

Seb is here but mostly just cause he felt like he needed to be, strangely. Bit of a forceful shove to be more social though he hadn't come with anyone in particular and was holding up the hope of finding someone he knows in a sea of... masks...

Freya walked into the ball in less grander than usual, the ache from a whole chair impact hasn’t quite shook off yet. She feels right at home quickly though. “It’s almost a crime I feel under dressed.” She cackled a bit while looking over at Katya.  (Imsorry)

Bea seemed a little unsure being around all this priss. It was meant to be a date, but she seems more nervous when she remembers all the more fancier events that Anna joined her in doing. “This is gonna be terrible.” She internally groaned under her breath, hoping the talk around them muffled it out. 

Leaf was stuck to Aaron’s side a bit. As jumpy as she was with the surrounding people she adored all the pretty dresses and food!! The bunny mask became fitting as she bounced around a bit in their little area, drink in hand and very close to spilling. These floors are too nice for this.

Yui had slowly sunk towards the food table. As familiar as she was in these types of environment she’s never been given free reign for it. It was terrifying. She had immediate regrets but found herself standing near one of the dessert tables, nervously eyeing some of the sweets while trying to keep focus on the crowd.

Tiu || Anna-X-Egg-Sylvia-Nic

Anna is grateful she's wearing a kitsune mask to hide behind, she isn't used to wearing a dress and the red elegant hakama she is wearing sure feels like a dress. She looks around as she makes her way to the ballroom, but with masks it's hard to recognize any coworkers.

Nic is bringing his all, instead of Xyphenese garb he is dressed in traditional Nord fancy dress. As is tradition, a knife and holster hang from his belt. He gives pleasant smiles to the other guests, hoping to not see his cousin tonight.

Sylvia is practically glued to Bea tonight. "It's gonna be fine, and if you wanna get away from the crowd for a bit we could find a closet for some 7 minutes in heaven~" she gently nudges Bea to the side.

Piper turns to Skye and waves. "Hello random cotton candy!" 

Zoe goes over to beverages to get her and Bella a drink, while surveying the nearby doors.

Alice walks in, eternally feeling slightly out of place in these settings. At least this was the one time of the year where she could feel closer to her own heritage! She adjusted the bonbon pin on her chest for the millionth time and brushed a hand past her hair again, fidgeting and checking if everything was in place. Was she nervous? Nnnnooooooo... why would she be nervous? Oh Sweets above Alice why are you nervous--

Adrien waves back at Opal, giving her a half smile that can't really be seen through the mask. Soon enough Skye spots him and Piper, catching him off guard. He blinks for a second before letting out a "ah!" and waving at them, turning to Piper to sign "That's Skye, my sister's... friend." Side eye at Skye. "... Big friend."

In rebel base, Lola, Darilyn and Kim sit watching the cameras.

Katya is still fiddling with her hair, eyeing the growing crowds with disdain. "You'd feel underdressed in a gold trimmed fur coat, darling. Where are the drinks." 

Emil seems uncomfortable, arms crossed and looking... shiftier than any of the rebels here on mission, honestly. 

Riley has a full mask on and a relaxed air, mostly just waiting near the edges of the crowd for further instruction! They might be a little excited to be a spy. Maybe.

Skye laughs and says "That's me!" @ the random cotton candy part; they think they recognize the sign for 'sister' and 'friend' in there somewhere, so they give a quick wink before they say "And you are?" to Piper.

Bella follows Zoe along towards the drinks table, eyeing their surroundings. Jokes aside, she's not exactly...happy to be back here.

Opal wanders herself and Lilith towards one of the snack tables. "Best if we keep out energy up for this exciting of a night, huh?" she chirps. 

Ava's just sipping a glass of punch by the wall by now, but glances up at one of the cameras and gives a tiny wave, hi Evan.

"I'm Piper! Piper Jones, nice to meet you." he holds out his hand for a shake. "I'm being his translator and also ball-buddy for the evening." 

Zoe sips her drink and glances at Bella, before lightly bumping her hip into Bella's in reassurance.

Freya scoffed lightly. “Oh you know me so well. How sweet.” She made her way over to drinks none the less. “Really you’d think they’d be more focused on current happenings rather than parties but! I’ll never turn down the opportunity to boost moral. The champagne just makes it easier.”

Bea hit Sylvia’s shoulder lightly. “All this shiny shit makes me wanna roll in trash to cleanse myself honestly. I didn’t think I’d ever find myself at this sort of thing ya know.” She kept close though, getting lightly distracted by all the chandeliers. “You’d think those would fall huh.” 

Yui finally was stressed out of her mind and decided cupcakes were a no go, she went to hike up her skirt and truly high tail herself out of there but instead ran head first into a man. Her mask was knocked aside and she seemed to flail...quite a bit. “Oh dear sweet gobstoppers I’m- I’m so sorry I’m so- oh what’s wrong with me.” She’d rather die than have this mask fall off.

Skye accepts the handshake! "Oh, that's great! Everything's more fun when you have a ball-buddy to go with, huh?" 

Bella blinks before she give Zoe a small smile and hip-bumps her back. "I'd expect they'll be giving some kind of announcement," she murmurs. "I'm sure it'll be enlightening, of course."

Knoxy/Bethany || Lilith - Evan

Lilith giggles a bit. "Yes. It's going to be a long night, after all." And so she happily starts snacking. Lilith does see what she thinks is Liesie from the corner of her eye and waves to her, but decides to hold off on greetings for now. Even if it has been almost.... half a year? Since she spoke to her friend in person.

Adrien is now pinching the bridge of his nose under the mask.

Piper nods. "Yes! Want to be ball-buddies with us as we peruse the event?" he's so stupid.

Zoe nods, keeping a check on everyone around them. "Mm... it'd be foolish for them to not make a scene..."

Blue || B-O-V-S-A-S-F-B

Skye's smile widens and they say "I would love to!" They tag in on Adrien's other side. "Where we lookin', ball-buddies?" 

Opal follows Lilith's look and spots Liesie too, eyes lighting up. She waves too! If Lilith is waving it's probably fine, right?

Bella nods quietly, opting to simply wait a bit for now.

Katya picks up a drink in each hand. She's tired. "Yes, yes, it's all about optics and promotional stunts. I'll bet you a month of either of our wages that the Sweet's little pep talk squad will be up and announcing something within the hour. At least there's alcohol."

Emil is scratching at their arms, scanning the crowd until they notice they notice one of their bosses, ducking over. "Ah, hello, hello-- sorry to bother you out of work! You... I... hm. Lots of... interesting faces around the ball tonight, right?" 

Riley quietly addresses their earwig as they scan the crowd. "Do you people not have camera access to anywhere else in the building? I feel like if they're preparing something it'd be... somewhere nearby, non?"

Tiu || Anna-X-Egg-Sylvia-Nic

Sylvia snickers behind her mask. "They're not gonna fall." Her tone shifts to something a little more somber. "Anyways, I just kinda wanna spend today hanging out with you in someplace else that home, to get our thoughts away from everything a lil. Just have a lil fun with you, like, in an another world. This isn't our world so we can sneak in a little and laugh at the posh people, right?"

Nicolas feels someone bump into him, letting out a surprised "Oh!" After steadying himself he sees that it's a young woman, and he offers his right hand to her. "Please, pardon me, I should have paid more attention to my surroundings. Are you hurt?" he explains with a polite smile on his face, like a true gentleman.

Adrien lets out a complaining whine of defeat, one arm linked with each "ball-buddy". Someone please tell him this is a dream and not reality. God please why did he agree to this.

Alice goes to the food tables.

At the top of the main staircase emerged the expected posse of people. Sweet, stepping out in an all black xyphenese outfit, adorning a black dragon mask and a smirk stands among the familiar faces of his generals: Whittemore, Kiara, Gretl, and Roberto. He clears his throat before speaking.  "Thank you all for joining us today in celebration of the White Rabbit Festival. This event is, of course, following a terrifying event from the prior week where we lost two brave souls to that of evil... but we stand before you, with you, today to show we are not afraid. As citizens of Tanim, your pride and allegiance to our city and our way of life is what will prevail through these hard times that have befallen our neighbors. And for that, I am grateful to you...."

After grabbing a drink, Ryan seems to pull weirdly close to the two engineers in the corner slowly sidestepping in that direction and evesdropping on them, but nothing more. He doesn't seem interested in starting conversations with non-rebels in fear of being compromised, but also pays attention to the upcoming announcement.

Liesie wanders around in search of somebody she recognizes but soooo many maaaasks. It was hard to tell who was who in this sea of faces. Seeing a wave from the corner of her eyes adds something of a sparkle to her step. She was pretty sure that was Lilith but she resisted the urge to run up to her, taking a rather slowed step towards her good friend and her friend's girlfriend. "Hello, stranger!" She says in something of a giggly tone. Toootally. Then perks her head to pay attention to the announcement.

Aaron is probably vibin' with Leaf but looks and listens on at the announcement, holding back the urge to boooo.

Allen seems much more interested and excited about the announcement!

Ava looks up and says "Oh - hi, Emil." She blinks a little more as they talk before she nods and says "There are. I'm enjoying all the masks, honestly - oh." she looks up as the announcement begins, leaning back against the wall. "This is...familiar."

Bella looks up from next to Zoe, sipping her drink a bit casually. Called it.

Opal beams as Liesie approaches, giving a delighted "Hi Liesieee," back, before going "Oops - and looking up towards the stage.

Skye's head perks up a bit with interest.

Evan's starting to feel more stressed in base...

Lilith smiled at Liesie as the girl came towards her. "Hello hello. It's good to see you, Liesie." And seeing Sweet come out for his announcement, Lilith quietly looks over to him.

Oh god fuck no-- Upon hearing the announcement Adrien immediately hides behind Piper, holding his breath. Peeks from behind his shoulder. Makes triple sure his mask covers his whole face.

Oh, there they are! Alice perks up a little, tucking her hair behind her ears as she listens attentively.

Freya laughed. “At least there’s alcohol. Cheers to that.” She echoed, grabbing a glass for her and Katya. “Sadly I value my monthly wage so I don’t wish to blatantly lose on a bet-“ She was disrupted by of course, sweet standing at the steps. “Of course.”

 Bea seemed to halt a little surprised hearing Sylvia be almost serious for a second. “Yeah. Course saltlick.” She smiles even if it was behind her mask, reading for Sylvia’s hand and continuing with the crowd. “Even if we make fun of posh people how bout I make a promise you get a dance at some point today. Not my usual shit but hey, maybe you can be reminded of how great I am at stepping on your toes.”

Leaf has spilled juice down the side of her dress. This is fine. 

Yui cautiously put her hand in his, using it to help straighten up and collect herself. She seems a little awestruck at first but quickly pulls her hand back in favor of fixing her hair. She thanked the stars he can’t see her face right now. “No no it was entirely my fault. How rude of me.” She took a small step back as she tried to stop her voice from showing how shaken she was. “I don’t believe I’m hurt, just a little spooked is all. You’re very kind for your concern.”

Emil seems only more stressed as the announcement starts, trying to ignore it. "Haha, it sure is! They seem to do this a lot, right? I get the feeling that, uh, if there are any rebels around they should, uh, be worried to be here! Right under Sweet's eye, y'know?"

Julie is shaking a bit as she tries to communicate with the rebels on the field. Um. Guys. We have a... a bit of an emergency happening. In the walls. Um...

Ryan seems to hold his headpiece and listen in quietly, not wanting to speak up above the announcers but also extremely concerned. Oh no what's happening now.....

Liesie's eyes open a bit. Oh no......

Kim's voice sounds through the earwigs "We don't have tIME FOR THIS JULIE-- SWORD AT DAYCARE, AMI DOWN, KEI LOCKED" and then shuts up bc Julie said it first anyway.

Zoe pauses, unaware that Ryn is with Puck today as a surprise and nearly drops her glass. She places it down and is immediately heading for the door.

Piper blinks and looks at Skye and Adrien, heavily thankful that Peter is with Cheri.

Julie shakes a bit at being yelled at. Ah. Yeah. Maybe this was a bad idea......

Ryan whispers softly into his own earwig. "Might be suspicious if everyone leaves at once, especially now while the officials are talking. Maybe we should hold on for a second for further instruction." He's ready to throttle Kim for yelling at his sister but he'll be good for now.

Liesie casually glances at her PDA and is horrified.

Sylvia turns her entire head to Bea excitedly. "You mean it? I'd fu- I'd love that," she catches herself mid-swear, she feels like it doesn't suit the venue. the announcement puts a small damper on her mood, as Sweet and his crew make an appearance. "What load of crap," she whispers to Bea, very quietly so others wouldn't hear. And the transmission coming in her earpiece didn't help at all. "Fuck." She lets one slip but it feels justified.

Nic shakes his head. "No, please, let me take the blame. I must have been standing in an awkward spot, it's somewhat difficult to see around with a mask on. Please don't worry about it." His voice is calm and gentle, trying to soothe the woman that was surprisingly taller than him. His masculinity only takes a small dent.

Anna turns to watch the announcement, and claps politely for Sweet's speech. She wonders where this is going, and is grateful for the full mask... Not that she would have any doubts for the regimen!

Blue || B-O-V-S-A-S-F-B

Ava rubs at her arm a bit and says "Ah...hypothetically, they probably should, but, um, they'd probably be smart enough to not act suspicious." she glances up a bit, brow furrowing at Julie's comment.

Skye glances back at Adrien with a small reassuring smile, tilting their head to listen a bit more closely. 

Bella leans back a bit, eyes widening by a fraction. She looks over at Zoe and hisses "Ryn-" before looking around, and electing to stay for the moment, she's...really more useful at the mansion. 

Opal's eyes go a bit wide. She puts a hand on Lilith's sleeve. "Okay - no okay, just stay here for now, we can't draw suspicion I'm sure they'll be okay-"

Julie sighs a bit trying to shake it off. It was nothing! It was nothing!! I... it's okay... sorry... uh... if you all need me to stay at base I can stay, but if I'm more useful there I can go too.

Freya stared at sweet through his announcement, taking the opportunity to chug through her glass and move onto the next one. “It begins to get so grating doesn’t it, sweetheart.”

Bea seemed to freeze as the panic waved in her earpiece. “We can’t do anything here.” She stared at the doorway, her grip on Sylvia’s hand getting tighter. She was on the edge, waiting for something to come with more information.

Yui shrunk a little so Nic gets to feel masculine, keeping her hands to her chest when she realized there was only so much saving she could manage with her looks. “The masks truly do make things difficult don’t they. Yet the anonymous nature allows confidence, yes? If only I could manage...” though she had calmed herself she still seemed to sound slightly woeful, yet entirely forgot she was supposed to be getting out of here. “I feel it’s rude to ask for your identity in such a case, but I wish to say it’s a pleasure to share my time with such a gentleman.”

Bella speaks up quietly into the earwig. "Anyone who needs to can carefully, quietly leave and go back to the north to check on things. Anyone else, we do still have a mission to carry out here, so stay calm."

Knoxy/Bethany || Lilith - Evan

Lilith clenches her fists, wanting so badly to run out and help, but.... She's... more useful here.... She knows that. She has a resigned look in her eyes as she murmurs. ".... Whoever's going... please, stay safe. And kick Eric's ass if you get ahold of him."

Ryan sighs, keeping his position here. "Julie. Stay in base. We need you there." He was genuinely concerned for the group, but he didn't want his sister running around with a psychopath. Helps keep his head clear!

Liesie doesn't have an earwing but she listened carefully to Lilith's concerns from the outside. Yikes yikes yikes.

"As part of this evening's festivities, I have invited a... entertainment team to come and help you all have a fun evening...." he motions to the entrance at the top of the stairs as he steps to the side. "I think they'd prefer to make their introductions as well...." 

After a pause, a wail in a high male pitch, similar to that which you'd hear done by a rock singer is let out before a black blur jumps from the top of the stairs, sticks his landing at the bottom and slides on his knees, back arched and pelvis forward. He winks and fingerguns at the people around him, tongue sticking out in all its long glory. "Hello hello!!! It's Jaeger, baby!~"

Knoxy/Bethany || Lilith - Evan

In all of what was happening right now, Lilith didn't expect it to be revealed that Sweets' taste in music was punk rock, but it was very low on the shock list right now.

"You wanna go," Sylvia whispers to Bea. She doesn't really know what she can even do in the situation, they are too far away to get anywhere in time, she doesn't even have time to thirst over the performers-

Nic gives her a little bow. "It's no trouble at all, I think as masks are worn, it is even more appropriate to identify eachother. I am Nicolas Wagner, at your service."

Anna is a little shocked at the entrance, but she does not mind. These people have style.

Also from the top of the stairs, a light, melodic humming (likely familiar to one person here) can be heard, causing anyone who hears it to immediately feel more relaxed. A small silhouette appears at the top of the stairs, one that appears to have...wings? A woman with long, smooth purple hair walks carefully down the steps, humming all the while, and stops next to Jaeger, giving a small, polite bow as she waits for him to introduce her.

Liesie seems a bit startled but sits still in anticipation and maybe anxiety.

Giggling resounds through the air as a small figure hops around between the handrails, a pair of braids long like ropes seeming to float behind her with each hop until she reaches the floor next to Jaeger, twirling in place and striking a pose. "Hello hello, Myška's the name!! Hope we can all have fun~!" Mice poke their heads out of her pockets as she opens her arms and strikes a pose again, still giggling.

The fourth and final figure to emerge steps carefully down the stairs, holding the railing with one of her hands. Her other hand supports the mass of a large black snake coiled around her shoulders. She stop by Alouette and Jaeger, and in a calm and level tone says "Hello... My name is Rosamaria." and nothing more.

Bea gripped Sylvia’s hand. “We need to stay. There’s a reason we’re here.” She hushed, staring at the...entertainment that was being presented.

Leaf was awestruck, staring between the candies on stage already. “Handsome...” She hushed as she stared at Jaeger.

“Oh-“ Yui was lightly surprised. “K..Kaede.” She panicked, eyes darting around the room before bowing slightly at him hoping that gave her a little extra time. She’s shit at this. “Kaede Lost. I must’ve hit my head a little harder than I thought during our run in. Mind my manners.”

If it's not in the first few rooms we search in, best just leave it be and get out before we're caught out of our depth. Your PDAs have maps marked with probable targets; disperse as you're able and come right back once you've checked a single location."

 Opal is just blinking at this. They're all? So pretty? Was this all that they were revealing?"

Ava whispers "...Maybe?" back to Emil, looking around. She spots Ryan (she thinks Ryan at least) sitting on the floor and says "Ah - er - excuse me, that's...we should check on him," and with a glance back at Emil walks carefully over to Ryan and places a hand hesitantly on his shoulder. "Um...Ryan?" 

Skye is grinning from ear to ear. Oh these guys look cool!

Liesie shrugs. "Well..... that was unexpected huh, Lilith!" 

Aaron mutters a soft "Eye eye captain" into his earwig back at Bella as he marches forth. "Come on, Leaf, letsa' goooo." Yes that was in the Marzipan accent sighs.

Sylvia nods to Bea, they have to do their part here. She grips Bea's hand almost as hard as she is gripping hers. "You wanna... stay and see what they do or go check out some 'closets' for 'making out'?" she asked Bea quietly.

Nic smiles from under his half-mask. "Lovely to meet you, miss Lost. Maybe it was a stroke of fate you found me tonight," he says in a playful tone, not able to resist the little joke.

Anna is actually enjoying herself!

Bea did a half groan half laugh at Sylvia. “Have I ever told you you’re utterly terrible sometimes.” It sounded so sweet though, taking the opportunity to pull Sylvia into one of the wings in hopes they find something.

Leaf did one of those dreamy half laughs. “M mean sure but look at him. He’s so cool! I mean just look-“ She was about to go off on why before realize she had spilled the rest of her drink down the other side of her dress. No more liquids allowed. “Do you have a napkin? Oh-” She just kinda stood there t posing a bit before they started walking off. Guess she’s going now. Atleast it stopped her from staring at the pretty punk rock squad.

It took Yui a moment but when she realized oh she laughed. Both at how ridiculous her lies were and the terrible joke he proceeded to make. “Oh and how lucky I am! I didn’t seem realize there was humor behind that mask.” It seemed to drift off, falling in quiet as she tried to imagine what face was behind the mask. “You’re far to sweet for me, Nicolas.”

Riley quickly checks their PDA under the shelter of a fan and gets moving, wanting to distance themselves from loud music as much as possible.

Emil lets Ava go to check on him, watching from a slight distance before sighing and walking the other way. They're stressed enough without having to deal with a stressed out guy, thanks. They don't really notice what direction they've walked in until they've just kind of walked directly into where the 'entertainment' squad are gathered, bumping into passer-by's as they go.

Katya is getting drunk enough to start complaining to Freya about how much being in a stuffy ballroom full of rich people sucks ass. Lord help her.

Ava winces and murmurs "I'm sorry, he's just feeling a bit sick," to any bystanders. "Ryan, do you want to...go home?"

Opal looks over to Liesie. "It was! This is - weird!" She listens to Bella's instructions, before tugging Lilith's arm a bit. "Hey! Should we go, maybe?"

Freya is impresses at how well she’s handling this amount of alcohol in heels, look at her go. She seems to have the arm that isn’t holding a drink linked with katya’s mutually complaining about how rich people suck. She still wants to be one of them though.

"Aha... yes, very unexpected...." Lilith wonders quietly to herself for a second, before nodding to Opal. "Yes, we... probably should." She looks to Liesie and takes a deep breath, before giving an apologetic smile to her. "I wish we could catch up more in person. But next time, hopefully. Take care, Liesie." And with that she starts moving with Opal.

Nic laughs a little and puts up a hand apologetically. "Please forgive me, I could not resist. The opportunity was too delicious for me to bear. You must've heard jokes along the lines of it all your life, pardon me for partaking in it," he apologizes. "I must admit humor isn't really my strongest suit, but sometimes it lands. And it was worth it to take the chance to hear your wonderful laugh."

Aaron crosses his arms cus wow Leaf seriously. Seriously. "Yeah, mhmm... suuuuuure.... cool alright. What's so cool about him, huh? He can't be that great, I bet. I bet I could rock that outfit but better. I can probably yell that loud and sing that good too." Shoves a napkin at her as he moves along hoping to find that secret weapon.

She’s just kinda flopping around as her plus one until they find something they can go through to start searching. “I do love it I can’t fault ya there bro.” She looked around a little before finding a door, ducking into it quickly before they were spotty. If this wasn’t a rebel mission the study would be a great place huh.

Leaf seemed a little mindless, but happily accepted the napkin. “I mean he’s handsome. And has some cool scars. And really loud. I just think that’s neat.” She couldn’t actually find interesting ways cause something shiny caught her eyes, flipping directions towards the kitchen. “I mean you could be. I never said you couldn’t! Maybe you aren-“ leaf dropped to the floor, she has acquired a bottle cap!!!

“I suppose I have, but yours landed the best I just say.” Yui continued to giggle behind her  mask. Oh how she thanked this covering her face. She blushed harder when he mentioned wonderful. “Do you really think so?” She asked softly before she could stop herself. “I’m so sorry that was a brash question- I suppose that is just. Something I’m not used to. People complimenting my laugh that is. It’s always been how pretty or how well dressed I am. It’s the first time I’ve felt like it was me they cared about.” She didn’t realize she was talking out loud this entire time, going back into panic. Oh no.

Ava chews on the inside of her lip a bit before she pats him a little and says "...Okay. I'll just stay here with you until you feel a little better, then." Mmmmaybe best not to leave him alone like this in enemy territory,

Skye jaunts along with Adrien and Piper, in a great mood as usual as they lightly flex their hand to get the knife glove ready. Just in case.

Opal steers herself and Lilith on over towards the dining room, arm in arm. "If anyone asks, we're just going for some alone time, right?" she whispers, looking as unsuspicious and couple-y as possible.

The Living Room: Other than tackily decorated in plashes of red, gold, and white with granny patterns all over, nothing seems notable as a 'weapon' here.

Basement: It's kinda dark down in the basement, and movement can be heard but nothing seen... might need to go in deeper.

Kitchen: There's a single security person here who turns to Leaf and Aaron with a 'Hey, what are you doing inhere??'

Dining Room: Other than the biggest mahogany table one may ever see in their lifetime, nothing notable.

He was spouting bullshit even he didn't believe in with a gentle and refined tone. He was really working hard to charm this girl.

Liesie seems to peek into her pda a minute then plops back around to look for someone to talk to. There wasn't much she could do on her end of things, but perhaps there was something else that could be done......

"Really........" Aaron squints. "But I'm all those things, and better, babe!" he had no idea why he dropped the babe word he just felt it added more to the statement. While Leaf is picking up bottlecap, Aaron stares forward at the guard. "Uuuuuuuuhhhhhh.... Dude, I just want some baguettes. They ran out of baguettes. Why are you guarding the baguettes?" Seems weird there'd be a guard here! Gotta be a reason why! Time to distract and snoop!!

Leaf popped up, distracted by the security guy. “Hello!” She looked between Aaron and the other guy. “someone not naming names spilled juice in the hall so I was gonna help! Do you have a towel?” She said, with a wet dress. Holding a napkin. Not naming names huh Leaf.

Nic was managing to hit every good button there could be gg. “A handsome and genuine man. You’re spoiling me Nicolas.” She used her hands to muffle the dumb giggling. Yui has been rightfully charmed. “Oh how I wish I had met you sooner.”

Nic laughs, pleased at his progress at how easy Kaede is to woo. "Please, I am merely trying to be nice in a sea of putting on airs. And you have only seen half my face, yet are convinced of my looks. How lucky am I to be blessed with such an exquisite jawline!" He jokes and smiles. "I'm sure you are even more luminous, what a shame I'm unable to be graced by your beauty," he returns the compliment

Piper continues to walk, eventually tripping over something in the dark. A light comes on, faintly glowing red. Piper looks back to see what he tripped on and stares at a little robot thing... that starts counting down. "UH"

Bea just kinda stared at the picture frame for a bit before snapping a pic real quick. “God it’s like people pay to be fucking weird and Rich. Imagine paying some guy just to like put dust specifically of your rust ass of a study so it makes you seem older and wiser. Sounds like something my dad would’ve done.” She made an icked out expression before looking at Sylvia. “sadly if we haven’t heard clicking yet I doubt there’s gonna be some big weapon reveal. Maybe we should head out before they start looping the place for lost couples.”

Leaf took the towel. This is hers now. “Kitchens have a lot of sharp stuff. They don’t seem very safe to me.” She turned on her heels though, waiting for Aaron still before they walked out.

“May I...see all of your face?” Yui asked cautiously, seeming to entirely miss the mentions of hers until she realized what she just said. “Oh how rude of me! I dismiss the anonymous again. I suppose I have an issue with wondering.” She sounded kinda heartbroken. Her fake Prince Charming would stay faceless besides his mask.

Freya wont stop messing with katyas hair. The drinks seem to have finally buzzed her out a little and she’s actually...pretty soft even if the pettiness stayed. She’s just vibing braiding some hair honestly. Yes she is savoring this.

Skye turns around with a "whoops", activates their ability, and just punches the robot with their knife gloved hand, smashing it to pieces immediately (23). They dig around in their pocket and pull out a phone to use the flashlight, which they didn't earlier because they were having fun holding hands. "Well, that's taken care of, huh!"

Alouette gives a tiny smile at Myška's antics.

Piper blinks, picking up a piece. "Oh, this is Faris's insignia. It was on my old arm. Guessing this isn't what we were looking for...hopefully. Maybe we should leave?"

"Oy, Mouse, you're stealin' my spo'light!" he gives a good noogie to Myska's head.

With nothing else to see, Riley heads out of the bathroom! They pass near the kitchen and notice Leaf and Aaron, waiting for them to fully exit before continuing.

"Maybe we shall see eachother again, in some place where masks are not necessary," Nic says, putting a finger onto his lips. "It shall be a mystery till then," he muses, "But I will give you a little hint." He raises his mask just a little, enough for upside down face swirls to come into view.

Adrien grabs onto Piper's arm in fear and then just. Deadpans. Once Skye turns on the light. Couldn't you have done that sooner. He sighs and nods at Piper, loosening the grip on his arm.

Jaeger gasped dramatically. "No taste?! Says the lil' missy with pigtails!" he pokes her nose and huffs, leaning on Alouette. "Birdy, do you see how I'm treated? It's a tragedy."

Skye gives an apologetic smile and shrug at the deadpan look and says "I forgot! Doesn't one-hit KO'ing the thing before it could blow us up make up for it?" They poke at the remains and say "Yeah, nothing down here, looks like. We should head back."

Alouette sighs and pats Jaeger's face sympathetically, leaning on him in return, then looks up a bit as Ryan re-enters the main room (with Ava behind him) and makes direct eye contact before she gives a small, simple nod.

Riley deadpans and goes to drag Aaron and Leaf back out to the ball. "Don't pounce guards. There's almost certainly nothing back here."

Bea looked over and snorted a little, playfully bonking their foreheads together first followed by a small peck. “Just so you can have your token. Special occasion since it ain’t quite my vibe saltlick.” She stuck out her tongue, before pulling Sylvia by the hand and quickly leaving. “Maybe if we get back to base and check in fast enough we can have that dance I promised. How’s fuckin slow dancing to wonderwall on the roof sound.” 

Leaf nodded. “So did you find anything???? Besides this purple bottle cap it seems pretty lame..” She was trying as she followed Riley.

Yui seemed slightly awestruck again, but when she noticed him shift his mask she seemed perplexed for a moment. Though any self preservation chucked aside she decided to do the same, moving over her mask just enough so he was able to see the swirls along her cheek. “As...amazing as this was I fear I can only be...found for so long.” She laughed softly at the joke. “Until we meet again Nicolas, whatever mystery it will be until then.” She placed a light hand on his shoulder as she passed, being more conscious as she ducked into the crowd. Don’t mind the squealing pastel elf as she runs the entirely of the way home. Oops.

Piper nods and gets up, leads Skye and Adrien out and back up so they can get out of this fancy party.

Ryan turns his head only to be nodded at. Oh god why is that one acknowledging him. Stop that. He looks like a dear in headlights and has frozen completely. "... A-Actually Ava y-you know what I might.... maybe I should go home. I'm going home. Now." He proceeds to march out the door. He's gone. Begone thot. Begone.

Aaron crosses his arms. "Fiiiiiiiine. I gueeeesssssss." He feels like this was a waste of time.  "Did anyone else find anything?? My bet is still on that guard guy..."

Tiu || Anna-X-Egg-Sylvia-Nic

Sylvia blushes a little at Bea's suggestion. "You know, I'd love that. Sounds like much more romantic than dancing here between the stuffy rich people." She red grins under her mask as she follows Bea's lead out.

"Till we meet again, miss Kaede," Nic gave the woman a little bow and a gentle smile as she bid her farewell. He feels a little accomplished, making such a good impression on someone! Now, onto the next person....

Myška sticks her tongue out at Jaeger before hopping in place. "Well! Things to see, people to talk to! Nice to meet you!" And she waves with a little chirped "ahoj!" before skipping away.

Ava looks back and forth between Ryan and Alouette. "What? Um - okay-" She follows after him, glancing back a bit confusedly at the four entertainers.

Skye and Opal have both left, Bella's sticking around till the search is completely over, Alouette's still hangin out by Jaeger and watching where Ryan left

Emil is surprised by the arm over their shoulders, laughing awkwardly. "Glad you think so! I'd love to hear the end of the gouda story, if you're willing to tell it!" They get the feeling they may regret this.

Katya stays until late, drinking and letting Freya braid her hair. Weirdos.

Riley continues to pull the other two out gently. "I have a theory we might've been walking away from the important feature this whole time... but I think the rebels are going to be, ah, preoccupied right now."
