Character Inspirations

Rochelle shares commonalities with the following characters:

• Rapunzel (Tangled) - Like the princess of Corona, Rochelle is a spirited and determined young woman. Rochelle has suffered from anxiety and low self-esteem in her teens due to many misfortunes from the loss of her father and constant bullying from a snarky head cheerleader.  Despite being hesitant and fearful at times, she pushes herself forward to pursue her ambitions. Rochelle finds beauty in all that she sees and often expresses this in her art from painting, drawing, and ceramics.  Rochelle values her loved ones deeply and is social in this regard. Most of Rochelle's physical features come from Rapunzel like her blonde hair and green eyes but with subtle differences.
• Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) - Like Princess Aurora, Rochelle isn't as passive or helpless as she may seem despite her innocence and apparent dependence on others' actions and opinions. Rochelle is surprisingly strong-willed and selfless. As Rochelle progresses in her journey, she is shown to have greatly matured and become far more self-assured, proactive and independent and responsible, as well as confident in her opinions and abilities. Rochelle's soft curly hair was inspired by Aurora as well as Merida from Brave in terms of volume and springiness.
• Fiora (Xenoblade Chronicles) - Like Fiora, Rochelle is energetic, cheerful, and kind. Despite being a careful person, Rochelle does not hesitate to take courageous, self-sacrificing actions when necessary to protect others, which can lead to dire consequences.
• Anastasia Romanov (Anastasia) - Like the titular character, Rochelle is known for her quick wit, youthful mischief, and ability to put smiles on everyone's faces in her youth, a trait she carries over into her young adulthood.
• Rikku (Final Fantasy X/X-2) - Like Rikku, Rochelle is lively and bright. She is upbeat, optimistic, and not afraid to speak her mind. Rochelle is kind-hearted, happy-go-lucky, and energetic, which may clash with her more stoic companions. Despite her cheerful appearance, Rochelle harbors insecurities she doesn’t like to disclose directly, particularly about her future. Rochelle can’t help but care for everyone around here regardless of whether or not its her business. Nevertheless, Rochelle remains spunky and a bit reckless, occasionally causing trouble for herself and her friends.
