The Beginning
You have heard rumors that a new island is opening up for Guides and Seekers to reside, which turned out to be true! Taking a boat trip across the Pirate's Strait, you make your way onto Serpent's Bluff - a calm, beachy island, perfect for a vacation! However, the island may not be what it seems...
For now, a quick dip in one of the lagoons seems like quite a good idea! Before you can make it very far inland however, you hear a commotion - up ahead, right before the entry to Coast City, you see what looks to be a group of slabsters... fighting?
"Halt!"
You stop and look down at a tiny slab. It waves its legs at you threateningly.
"To gain access to the City, you must participate in our SLABSLAUGHTER BATTLE ARENA! Quick, pick a slab and FIGHT!"

The Queen of Hearts, The Knave, and The Ringleader gingerly step off of the boat. It was rare for so many of them to leave the kingdom at once, but the Prophecy deemed it so. The Queen was dressed in all of her regalia and the Knave had worn his best suit. The Ringleader does not enjoy the warm weather but his mother summoned him and he shall obey.
"Halt!" In perfect unison, the eccentric trio all turn a disdainful gaze towards the pesky voice.
"Yes?" It was obvious that a queen was speaking.
"To gain access to the City, you must participate in our SLABSLAUGHTER BATTLE ARENA! Quick, pick a slab and FIGHT!"
"Is that so?" The Queen drawled before beckoning a finger at the Knave, *"Off with their hat"* She said sweetly with a small smile.
"Now Mother, that is no way to make friends, let us... participate in this trivial game." The Ringleader stepped forward with a smirk. "After this... charming fellow- please, darling. Never steal from a thief." He plucks a slab off of his pocket and sets it down on the table while pocketing a convenient bag of coins hanging from its belt. The action goes unnoticed.
"Perhaps we use your slabster" says the Knave.
The Queen snaps her fingers and out of her hat scuttles a regal splab. "Are hats 45893 and 12094 still in transit?"
"They were returned this morning. Hat 89234 however is still out on loan to your son" The Queen nods in satisfaction and places the slab on the table.
"She will fight"
