COELUNE BASICS

Coelunes are a humanoid kemonomimi species, born from a lonely goddess that sought company. They are known for their impressive ability to adapt to their surroundings, with the purpose of giving life to deserted moons, as well as keeping them safe and in orbit. They are a most commonly friendly species, capable of interacting with others and forming special bonds across the universe.

When a Coelune is formed, the phase of the moon that it's created under will influence whether it is Diurnal or Nocturnal, as well as the shape for their halo and lunar marking.

✦ HALO ✦

All Coelunes have at least one halo, with the amount depending on the rarity. It floats around the head, and the shape must resemble their lunar marking. The halo is a manifestation of a Coelune's magic, and can have all sorts of colors.
Coelune halos always float above their magic collar.

✦ EARS ✦

All Coelunes are born with all sorts of mammalian ears (aside from human ears), although rabbit ears are the most common.

✦ COLLAR ✦

All Coelunes are given a magical collar upon their 18th birthday, which is rarely ever removed. The collar is what connects to the halo to create the head bubble.

✦ LUNAR MARKING ✦

All Coelunes are blessed by the Lunar Goddess with protection and magical powers. This blessing is marked by a symbol on their leg, which represents the moon phase the Coelune was born into.

✦ LEGS ✦

All Coelunes have rabbit paws for feet, some with paw pads and others without. The material of the legs of a Coelune is determined by the environment of the moons they're born into and explore, ranging from meat and fur, to plastic, glass, and others.

All Coelunes have a round, fluffy rabbit tail!

✦ SKINTONE AND BLOOD ✦

Coelunes can have any color of skin and blood, regardless if it's a natural color or not.
Skintone and blood colors are untraited.

MOON PHASES

Almost*every single Coelune falls beneath one of these two phases: nocturnal& diurnal. Neither phase limits the traits that you may use.

What determines if a Coelune is nocturnal or diurnal is what moon phase that the Coelune is born into. This also determines the shapeof the haloand lunar marking, which must be the same.

The lunar marking of a nocturnal Coelune is always on the right side of the body, while the lunar marking of a diurnal Coelune is always on the left side of the body . (Both sides from the perspective of the character, not the viewer!)

 *Some Coelunes may have other phases other than Nocturnal or Diurnal, but that is a super rare occurrence.

HEAD BUBBLES & COLLARS

A Coelune's head bubble protects them during their travels in space. It is a fully closed, air tight space which provides them with air to breathe.
It forms from the halo which connects to the magic collar, so, both cannot be out at the same time! A head bubble can look like anything! It doesn't need to resemble the halo.

A Coelune's collar, too, can look like anything. From a simple collar to a long scarf, it only needs to cover all around the neck to be able to close off the head bubble.

The collars cannot be removed for long periods of time, but are typically taken off for sleeping.

CROSSBREEDING

Because of how widespread across the universe and friendly as Coelunes are, it's not unheard of for Coelunes to procreate with other humanoid species. 

No special slot is required to create a crossbreed Coelune. The only requirement is that the species being crossbred with must have clear trait guidelines, and must be a public original species (no generic species or private original species).
