Lights, camera, action! It barely feels like a month has passed but we’re welcoming June with a new prompt and other events! This month's bulletin features information on the GA batch, winner announcements, MYO sale information, shop soft launch, and this month's Prompt Reveal.

All payments and proceeds will be donated straight to charities supporting ocean conservation and LGBTQIA+ causes. These are all just options on where to donate, though!

We've had our NPC contest and our May Prompt running for about a month, and there have been an overwhelming amount of absolutely amazing entries! We're now opening voting for both events.
MAY PROMPT - BEACH EPISODE
Revealing the participation raffle for the May Prompt, created by Millkman, all participants are automatically eligible for entry~! We've seen tons of really great entries, and will be increasing the amount of community prizes given out, to be revealed in a google slides like the previous prompt announcement and a solo bulletin on the dreadnauts ML account. NPC CONTEST
NPC Contest Voting begins now and ends when the June bulletin drops, tomorrow at around 10pm GMT + 8. Each user may vote for a maximum of five entries, and will be rewarded a fisher token for voting (though it is optional). You may want to view the form on desktop due to form limitation + number of entries, we apologize for the weird formatting.

In other exciting news, due to the number of amazing NPC entries, we will be revealing the trial of the 'Lore Runner Role'. Instead of only one winner, several NPC winners and runner-ups will have the option to join staff to contribute directly to the F.A.C.T, mini lore, and QnA category with their NPC nauts. Further details will be disclosed to participants, and we hope this can push worldbuilding to another level, in preparation of a very special surprise we hope to launch soon. Lore runners will not be required to moderate, or do any lister/staff duties, and may step down at any time. This is a discord exclusive role.
FISH FACT | Suckermouth Catfish
Suckermouth catfish are native to tropical South America and Central America and were introduced to Florida back in the 1950’s as part of the growing aquarium trade. In home aquariums, they are used to clean the bottom of the aquarium and control algae and detritus build-up. Read more about them here
NEW Anomaly Trait — LEVITATION
We are proud to introduce our first ever new trait from the Anomaly Rarity!
- Levitation — The Dreadnaut's mimics are detached from the body, and are permanently levitating around the sea terror's vessel. While very intriguing and mysterious, scientists have hypothesized a theory about this interesting trait. They theorize that the sea terror may have a naturally strong (yet unique) magnetic field around them which lets the mimics float around them. This trait is said to have been named after Leviathan himself.
How will these new Anomaly Traits be implemented?
- These new Anomaly traits will function differently from the known Common and Decayed slots. Anomaly will come as a set of traits that can individually be acquired through GA/official adopts, events, raffles, shop (very rarely), etc. instead of a slot. These traits are in a higher tier than Decayed rarity, so you cannot use them unless you have an upgrade.
- This trait (and every anomaly trait introduced in the future) will be listed down at the 'Anomalies' section of the written traits guide, along with a short description and the months they were released on!

F2E Anomaly Dreadnaut Raffle
MAY 27 — JUNE 3We have prepared a free F2E raffle as as a thank you for the continuous support and as our first anomaly Dreadnaut! Everyone is free to enter for this design, and raffle will last for around a week. Winner will be rolled on the 3rd of June! You can also check the character's profile here!

Time flies and before you realise it’s the middle of May! We’ve had so many amazing entries for the prompt so far, and as promised in the monthly bulletin we’re dropping another event and a raffle. This month is a lot more busy and we'll be calming down in June, but for now please enjoy the events we have planned.

The Dreadnaut NPC contest begins today! Starting now, you can design a naut to fit into official lore. Please take a look at the guidelines below:
Requirements and terms:
- At minimum a clean colored full body with traits listed. You may add extra graphics, etc but we'll be looking at design first and foremost
- Sea terror is optional, but encouraged.
- Write a short description about your NPC, minimum 50 words. Detailed description may be put on an off-site link such as google drive
- Winner consents to design being used as an NPC and becomes owned by the community (eligible to be used for events, only profile is on the ML!). Creator gets a say in lore and character details.
- Winners will be community nominated (all designs will be voted on via form, and the top five voted) with staff picking the final three
You can use decayed traits or keep it all common, as long as you abide by normal MYO rules! If you're uncertain about your design, you can check by DMing the ML account dreadnauts with the normal approval form but with the title "NPC CONTEST CHECK" or alternatively, head to the NPContest category on the discord.
You can only submit one Dreadnaut design to be an NPC, and at the moment linked non Naut NPCs aren't allowed. Although we encourage a basic story/personality with the submission, please keep it relatively basic and not super specific (like making their entire family tree).
First Prize – Design becomes official NPC, have a say in their personality and involvement in canon, Decayed slot
Second Prize – Choice between making design real OR a common slot, extra fisher tokens
Third Prize – Extra fisher tokens, common slot
As usual, all participants get fisher tokens along with a participation raffle at the end of the event!

Fish Fact
The Asian arowana is the world’s most expensive aquarium fish. It is a tropical freshwater fish from Southeast Asia that grows three feet long in the wild. . It has large, metallic scales, like coins; whiskers that jut from its chin; and it undulates like the paper dragons you see in a Chinese New Year’s parade. May 14 — May 31We hope you all had fun with the emote contest! Starting May 14 until the end of the month, we’ll be hosting a different kind of event, an NPC CONTEST. Dreadnauts have always been a species that aims to provide lore and worldbuilding, and we have exciting plans for the future that we’re slowly building towards. We’d like for the community to have a chance to be further involved with that!

We’re excited to announce our adopt collaboration with Coelunes! Splashing in are two CocoeNauts, made by ShibaKiba and nightbuns/jinxcode! On May 7th, these two sea bunnies will be sold via auction to the public!
Finally, as an addition to the CocoeNauts Collab for May, submitting a Dreadnaut May Prompt with a Coelune in it (and vice versa) qualifies you for currency in both servers! Manual submission to both species still applies though.

RULES
- You can only claim if you are a First-Time Owner (FTO) or if the person you're claiming for is FTO.
- Slots are $25 (USD) each.
- All slots given are common. Only 30 will be distributed.
- You are allowed to claim for a friend only even if you already own a Dreadnaut.
- Using alt accounts to get through this rule will result in a warn.
- Slots do not expire.
- You have a 1-week cooldown if you wish to trade/sell your slot for any reason.

Thank you all for the succesful launch!
There's a wave of emotions we feel when we think about our launch - and overwhelming gratitude is one of them. The storm has mostly tided over and I'm sure many of you are wondering what's next.This wouldn't have been possible without you all - so thank you! Thank you for sticking with us as we stumble our way through managing and running a community, and we apologize if there have been mistakes thus far. We're all learning, and we shrimply want to do our best to make Dreadnauts a CS we can be proud of.
We are shore you will enjoy what we have planned and hope to get the community sea-l of approval. We are current-ly working on an extra trait sheet to clarify seartain traits that have been asked about. We will also be making an updated FAQ list to answer common consearns, though our discord help desk is always open for more specific concerns you may have. We hope you enjoy the plans we have for the future (as much as we have enjoyed coming up with it)

Three staff picked favourites of each category will win a prize, and so will two voted community's choice from each category! Further details, rules, and launch will be announced soon as this event will be hosted in the discord.
FTO Exclusive MYO Sales (Limited)

Due to abrupt closure of the event, we have decided to open up a few more slots to the public. We will only be distributing 30 FTO common slots, that's right, thirty! Each common slot is $25. You may claim for yourself (if you are FTO) and/or a first-time owner friend. Further details will be announced in a bulletin and event will end when April 17 ends or if slots run out early. The claiming will be FCFS (First Come, First Serve)—further details of sale will be put on the main sale bulletin.
