Welcome to the Bownny Boutique newbie! Curious about the bownnies I see! Well you've come to the right place. Bownnies are a closed species of plush lagomorphs owned by me, Usagi! I'm so glad you could come visit our little boutique. Grab some tea, some buttons and a sewing kit and get ready to meet your new best friend!
I'm a 13 year old artist that loves to draw and write! I go into “phases” of drawing ferrals and humans and furries! So if i haven't drawn a feral in a while that's why!
I love ocs with pastel color pallets and (simple-ish) markings and spots! I adore drawing complex clothes and multicolored hair!
I also own two adorable buns so if you don't like rabbits i will break ur knee caps /hj
Roleplaying is not required to be apart of the world

Can I make adopts?
You can only make adopts once you own two legendary bownnies!
Can I resell my bownny?
Yes! Please make sure you notify a staff member *before* selling or trading. If someone else designed the bownny, make sure they're okay with the trade as well. Be sure you're following the T.O.S of everyone involved!
What determins my bownny's rarity level?
Whichever kind of trait there is the most of in your bownny considers their rarity level. For example, if I have a rabbit bownny with one legendary trait and the rest of it's traits are rare, it'd be a rare bownny, not a legendary one. If there's an equal amount of traits present, choose the higher rarity level. If you're not quite sure what your bownny is, please ask around or look at the masterlist for examples!
How does fur colour work in a bownny?
We are generally very lenient with the colours you can put on a bownnie! You may add on as many colours as you want, on top of a base colour. A example would be- if a common char has a base of white but had red/ blue stitched on it we count that! And we are very lenient with different shades ( like if someone uses a dark blue on a char then uses a slightly lighter shade in a different part we could count that! ).

While all bownnies are unique and have different personalities, they are usually very weak creatures and very docile.

Infant-Adult
Bownnies, instead of having live births like regular rabbits, sew together kits with a particullarly stretchy fabric! Once the body has been created, the babies become sentient and start learning about the world around them!

Parenting
Doe bownnies will carry their young in zipper/velcro stomach patches to keep them safe, since baby bownnies are rather clumsy and often very silly little creatures. After they've got the feel for their plush limbs, they leave the pouch and start becoming more independent.
Mother and father bownnies will watch over the little one as they grow.
Food
Bownnies, while they do have mouths, don't actually eat food! There's nowhere for that food to go!

Livespan & Powers
Bownnies, while mostly sentient, can become lifeless plushies when wanted. Being in this state for too long will cause the bownny to remain in that state. They can live forever if they are not injured or in lifeless state.
All bownnies can use the ribbons on their main bow as arms. (think sylveon)

Voiding/ Deleting characters.
Deletion and voiding is allowed with the staff's knowledge and permission. We will also re-run it through the designer of the character, to make sure they are ok with it.
Non-optional traits
Bows are never-ever optional!! Bows can be ripped for the sake of lore but never removed completely. There must be at least two bows on bownnie. (neck/head bow and tail bow) Additional bows can be added but they must be smaller than the two main bows.
Bownnies can be any color as long as the color is pastel, light-gray, white or off-white. (Darker/black shades are allowed for rare bownnies) Neon fur colors are never allowed. Patterns that are a different color from base are always stiched on.
Gender Differences
Female (doe) bownnies always have a ribbon bow around ear OR tied behind neck. Neck bows may never be in the front for female bownnies. Ribbon colors can be solid or multiple colors.
Male (buck) bownnies always have a bowtie tied at front or back of neck. They may never have a bow around ears. Ribbon colors for males will always be a darker color than fur. They also have buttons on their chest, that can reach to their belly.
Non binary bowwnies will have their bows behind their neck.
Bows
The main bow is identified with a characteristic charm. The main bows are the bows placed on the neck/ear of the bownny. Bownnies can use the ribbons from that bow to grab things. (Think Sylveon) Tail bows are strictally for decoration.
Pika differences
Pikas, unlike rabbits and hares, have more rounded ears. Traits still apply but bows for pikas will be much bigger.
How does Currency work?
Buttons are bownny currency. Buttons can be earned or purchased. You can purchase a pre-existing bownnie for buttons. Customs or MYO bownnies may only be purchased (with buttons or USD).
Button Worth
1,000 buttons are worth $1 (USD). For instance, if you have 10,000 buttons, you have $10 in bownny currency.
Ways to Earn
You can earn buttons by being active in the world or social medias, or by doing art for mod/admin. Art for admins/mods will earn you more buttons for a bownny.
MYO Events and Adopts
MYO events will come often, so don't be upset if you can't get a bownnie! You must own at least two legendary bownnies to be able to sell/redistribute bownnies. Before selling/redistributing, you must check in with a mod/admin to make sure the design is up to species standard and to keep track of who has a bownny.
Ways to earn is....
- PayPal is standard payment, unless mod/admin gives you an option to pay otherwise
- Payment will go straight to the designer/seller of bownnie, no payment will go to the founder unless the design is collabed with founder.(In that case, main designer will always get majority pay)
- IRL payment is optional and not at all required to make or get a bownny.
- Founder will monitor all art trades to make sure they're fair.
- Designer/Seller will make you a deal for art.

To add a trait from a higher rarity level, you have to earn it by buttons
- 20 buttons to add an uncommon trait
- 30 buttons to add a rare trait
- Legendary traits can be added only by use of a legendary ticket from staff!
- Upgrades will be monitored and recorded in masterlist.
