Kits to apperantice- When a kit turns six moons old, they are ready to become an apprentice. Until this time, their name ends with the "-kit" suffix. When a kit becomes an apprentice, their name is changed so that the suffix of their name becomes "-paw", showing the path that their paws are now on.
Apperantice to Warrior- The latest that apprentices would become warriors is usually 16 moons. Warrior ceremonies are held once an apprentice has been assessed and it is agreed that they are ready to become a warrior.
Medicine cats- Kits who wish to become medicine cats are apprenticed at the age of six moons to the Clan's current medicine cat. The Apperantice becomes a full fledge medicine cat when the mentor sees fit.
Deputy to Leader- A deputy is a warrior who is second in command to the leader, aiding them in their tasks and replacing them immediately after their death or retirement.
Warrior to Elder- A warrior, leader, medicine cat or deputy can become an elder at any age above 120 moons, but at 170 moons it is more common for a cat to retire. Cats become elders when they are either incapable of doing their duty, or when they feel that they have fulfilled their worth to their Clan.
