Spend RP:

Research points [RP/₹] are generated via artwork, literature, and rolls. Usually, research points are about equal to the number of levels earned in a piece, though there are ways to increase the amount of research one can earn, such as the Research + purchase, which doubles research from a piece, before any event or meme bonuses.

Research points are used to unlock different portions of the game. For instance, you must have a breeding license in order to pair your colonists up selectively to produce offspring - that license costs research points. Another research is required to have random event rolls in regions that aren't your home region.

RESEARCH TREE

COLONY EXPANSION: 50 ₹ [NOT REQUIRED FOR RESEARCH TREE] - Adds 5 to population limit
COLONY EXPANSION PAST 100 POPULATION: 100 ₹ [NOT REQUIRED FOR RESEARCH TREE] - Adds 5 to population limit

RESEARCH CENTRE - 10 ₹ - Required for all further research.

HOMESTEADER
  • Farm - 50 ₹ - Unlock >FARM rolls.
    • Fertilizer - 100 ₹ - Roll Advantage on >FARM action rolls.
    • Farmhand - 100 ₹ - Double the number of seeds collected during >FARM rolls.
      • Beasts of Burden - 200 ₹ - Double the number of full-grown plants collected during >FARM rolls.

DOCTOR
  • Medicine - 50 ₹ - Allows use of regular Medicine in >HEAL attempts
    • Medical School - 100 ₹ - Any colonist with a medicine mod of 5 or more will have an auto-success on non-surgery >HEAL attempts .
    • Surgery - 100 ₹ - Allows a colony to attempt heals on colonists with health of 50% or below
      • Skilled Surgeon - 200 ₹ - Auto-success for any colonist with medicine mod of 5 or more in any >HEAL attempt.

    • Breeding Permit - 100 ₹ - Unlocks Reproduction - required by the dam.
      • Negative Selective Breeding - 200 ₹ - Decreases the chance of a specified gene occurring in every breeding.
        • Slice - 300 ₹ - Allows you to remove a single allele to a rolled child, one per litter.

      • Positive Selective Breeding - 200 ₹ - Increases the chance of a specified gene occurring in every breeding.
        • Dice - 300 ₹ - Allows you to add a single allele to a rolled child from one of their parents, one per litter.
          • 20 Sided Dice - 400 ₹ - The allele from above does not need to be from a parent and can be any common-rare gene.

      • Power Breeder - 200 ₹ - Unlocks Fertility Treatment
        • Mutie Lover - 300 ₹ - Increases chance of mutations in every breeding.
        • Girl Power - 300 ₹ - Once Use Per Month. All whelps in one litter will be female.
        • Boy Power - 300 ₹ - Once Use Per Month. All whelps in one litter will be male.

RANGER
  • Slingshot - 50 ₹ - Unlocks >HUNT
    • Advanced Slingshot - 100 ₹ - Roll Advantage on >HUNT rolls
      • Bow and Arrow - 200 ₹ - Doubles >HUNT roll rewards

    • Butcher - 100 ₹ - Adds an extra Raw Meat from >HUNT rolls.
    • Tanner - 100 ₹ - Adds an extra Skin from >HUNT rolls

SCHOLAR
  • Writing - 50 ₹ - Allows for more advanced research.
    • Diplomacy - 100 ₹ - Allows >WOO attempts on encountered natives
      • Diplomatic Immunity - 200 ₹ - Unlocks >VISIT
      • Extradition - 200 ₹ - Unlocks >EXTRADITE
      • Well Met - 200 ₹ - Lengthens time you can attempt to invite an encountered native to one month instead of two weeks.

    • Research Plus - 100 ₹ - Doubles research from every art or literature piece before event/meme bonuses.

ROGUE
  • Spy Training - 50 ₹ - Unlocks >SPY
    • Disguise Kit - 100 ₹ - Allows for Random Event Rolls in non-home regions.
    • Mischief Managed - 100 ₹ - Roll Advantage on >SPY rolls.

ARTISAN
  • Tinkerer - 50 ₹ - Unlocks Basic Crafting
    • Blacksmith - 100 ₹ - Unlocks LVL One Weapon Crafting
    • Leathersmith - 100 ₹ - Unlocks LVL One Armor Crafting
    • Baker - 100 ₹ - Unlocks LVL One Cooking
    • Jeweler - 100 ₹ - Unlocks LVL One Jewelry Crafting
