Hello Hello Tekifolk! I'm coming to you live with our August updates. Not a whole lot this time, but some important notes!

1. Faction "Dailies" will be coming soon! These extremely small mini-quests can be used to raise influence with your faction while earning Koin and will be repeatable up to a certain point. Are there any small art or writing related tasks that you all would be interested in doing or seeing? Two that will be added, for example, are filling out character profiles, and drawing emoji of your characters.

2. Our mod Riddles will be stepping down from the team. She's gotten busy with IRL things she'd like to focus on! She will be staying on as a Guest Artist, so not leaving entirely. Thank you for all your contributions, especially with the Tatsuai development and launch Riddle! You're welcome back as a mod any time. 

3. Our adopt set this month will be themed after Birthstones, and will be varying set prices! Please keep an eye out for that later in the month.

Hi Tekifolk! I'm here with our batch of monthly updates for you all! 

1. Factions are here! Though being introduced with our bimonthly quest format, they will be around for much longer than JUST July and August, and will effect the world of Tekishozen permanently. If you haven't yet, join our discord and join a faction!

2. Our server is going to be changed into a Community Server here soon! This will offer me more moderation tools, and also allow our invites to remain non-expiring. The server will not be listed in discord's community server database (we don't qualify anyways), so don't worry about random people who don't understand CS joining.

3. July's Monthly Adopts will be an unthemed batch on the $25 base that is exclusive to our new/non-returning GAs to show off their art and design styles!

Hello folks, after many months, the transfer from deviantart to toyhouse is complete… what better way than to make some new characters! I’m happy to present a turn-in event with free options for FTOs either as a whole or for one of our subspecies, as well as a discount option for those who own one of each species of Teki characters! Please read on to find out how to qualify, trait limitations, where to turn in, and how long this event will last!

Event Options and Qualifications

Option 1: You are a Tekishozen FTO who currently owns 0 Tekishozen species (MYO slots excluded). You may create 1 Kitzen character free of any charge, as well as 1 character of any subspecies (Bakenomu, Chikainu, and Tatsuai) free of charge.

Option 2: You currently own 1-3, but not all 4, Tekishozen species (MYO slots excluded). You may create 1 character of 1 species (Kitzen, Bakenomu, Chikainu, Tatsuai) you do not own free of charge.

Option 3: You currently own at least 1 of each Tekishozen species, or are a FTO who has already completed your allotted free turn-ins. You may create up to 3 characters of any species for half-price off either the Koin or USD price of the slot they would require (Uncommon, Common or Rare only for Kitzen). Half-Price payment can be made to Admin Biko's gofundme to help with their moving costs!

Trait Limitations

For fully free Kitzen MYOs, the following trait limits apply:

-Unlimited common traits
-3 uncommon traits
-1 rare trait
No mutations or blessing traits will be allotted, however, you may add on potions for either mutation/blessing traits, or additional other traits.

For half-price Kitzen MYOs, you may use whatever traits you prefer excluding special/mutation traits (unless potions added), and your price will be half the price of the required slot. ex, a Kitzen with the highest trait being uncommon would be 300 Koin or $12 USD.

Hey folks! Our second news of the day is that we are looking for some new guest artists as we go forwards in the species! 

We are currently looking for one-time GA's for the Grand Reopening adoptable sets that we have coming up, as well as recurring guest artists who will be able to make multiple sets for the species. Compensation for all adopts will be in the form of both keeping 100% of the profits and being awarded free MYO slots at the end of each month that adopt sets are made!

  How do I get a MYO Slot with USD, dA points, or Koin (group currency)?

  How do I get a MYO Slot for free?  

- You can Nitro boost the discord server for a free Common MYO Slot!

- There will be occasional free FTO slots, keep an eye on the group!

- Occasional free raffles, run through discord.

- Some quest / event rewards will be MYO slots of varying rarities.

  I have a slot! What do I do for my design?   

- Remember to check the trait and biology sheets for Kitzenkoshi MYOs, and the sub-species sheets for Bakenomu and Chikainu MYOs.

- A valid MYO design must consist of at least one fullbody with flat colors. Hands and feet must be shown with their palm/flat of the foot markings, as well as all of the tails. If these need to be drawn to the side, feel free to do so! Using bases is fine, as long as they're free to use / you paid to use them / the base maker has otherwise given permission.

 How to get my Kitzen approved?  

- Have your proof ready, you will need proof of slot and any extra traits you're adding!

- Link your kitzen's ref/design, and the proof in a PM to the Tekishozen Admin account here on toyhouse. Alternatively, you may use the myo approval channel in the discord, or send it in a note to the deviantart group.

 How do I get an MYO?  

- You can buy an MYO slot at the shop with USD, group currency (Koin), or dA points.

- Sometimes there will be pop-up FTO discount MYO slots, raffles, or black market slot sales.

- MYO slots are also occasionally prizes for quests/events!

 Are twins allowed? 

- Yes! They must have some visual differences, but they are allowed either as identical or fraternal twins. Identical twins may not be carbon copies and must have seperate references.

  Do MYO slots expire? 

- Never! Just make sure you always hold on to your proof! You need it to be approved.

 Can you combine traits? 

- Some traits can be combined. Super Long tails can be any type of tail type (ex. Super Long Silky Tails) and Huge Ears can be any type of ear (ex. Huge Cat Ears). Any other mixed traits would be considered a mutation and would need a mutation trait or unlimited slot to be added.

 Can I submit art I did before opening a bank account for Koin? 

- Yes of course! Just open a bank account and tally up all your past art because it 100% counts!

 Do Kitzen colors/markings HAVE to match their element? 

- No, though it is more natural that their markings match. Elements, however, can manifest in different colors (i.e. blue fire, green water, orange poison). Markings will match the color that their element manifests in.

 So, can all elements be whatever colors? 

- All elements can be whatever color you desire EXCEPT for Light, which must be in lighter colors, and Shadow, which must be in darker colors. Other elements will always retain the aspects of their elements (ie. water will be clear)

 Can wing ears be bat wings? 

- No. Wing ears are not true wings but simply furred ear growths that mimic feathers with points along the end. Functional wing ears, and by extension bat wing ears would be considered a mutation and would require a mutation/special trait or unlimited slot.

  If I buy an extra tail potion, can my Kitzen have 9 or 10 tails? 

- No. The only way for a Kitzen to gain 10 tails is through a blessing trait. The only way for a Kitzen to gain their 9th tail is to complete a mastery quest, or be pre-made with one.

 Can horns be anywhere? 

- Horns can be anywhere on the top of the head as far foreword as the forehead. They may not be on the face or chin.

The world of Tekishozen is a world full of magic and adventure.

Most if not all beings on this planet harness the natural ability to harness and hone magic abilities!

In this world you can exist as your every day citizen mildly using magic to help yourself, others, and your community. OR You can take up training your magic and striving for Mastery, thus earning respect and honor for your community, your element, and yourself!

The primary species on this planet is the Kitzenkoshi, or Kitzen for short! They are the majority population and are the elemental masters! The world of Tekishozen was created by gods and goddesses that the Kitzen descended from, so their ancestors are the gods and goddesses of this world. They are a Kitsune like species, and their number of tails reflects how well mastered in their magic they are.

The Kitzen can master any of 13 Elements! Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Energy, Healing, Poison, Light, Dark, Audion, Illusion, Mind, or Feeling. There are sub types for some elements that come with special gifts or particular specialty training like Ice, Lava, Plant, and Kinetic Energy! HOWEVER, 4 of the elements are taboo and considered cursed due to their origin of selfishness and evil. Audio, Illusion, Mind, and Feeling are these elements. While they are rare they do occur and many decide to not train in it due to ridicule and discrimination.

Tekishozen is a lovely Mix of modern and traditional! Their architecture is very Asian based, and the only big city takes up a large region and that is where you can find all of their technological advancements and more modern looking buildings. In more strictly traditional areas you will see  more clothing made of elaborate patters draped in forms of robes or loose flowy clothing. Some who prefer mobility will wear tighter wrapped clothing in sleeker materials. And in more modern areas you will find them wearing anything you can think of! Jeans, Leather, Plastic, Odd mixes, Shoes, anything!

The world has several more intelligent species that inhabit it!
60% or more of the population are Kitzenkoshi, or Kitzen for short! They are the elemental kistune like masters who were the original species to enhabit this planet. They live in every region on the planet.

The other smaller portions of this planet are Bakenomu, cat like people with telepathic powers. These Bakenomu prefer to live in the Mirabashi and Mirakogai regions for easier and safer living. However there are some Bakenomu who travel and may stay in smaller villages and help as bes they can with their telepathic powers.

AND Chikainu, dog like people with above natural strength and duribility! They prefer to live in harsher climates and protect smaller villages or shrines. They are scattered in the toughest parts of most regions, but may also be seen as normal guards.
