Kyra


The Tropical Forests Region

Climate:     Sub Tropical,  Humid
Terrain:     Densely Forested[Jungle], Canyonous, Mountainous
Primary Race[s]: Itsine, Klysst, MothDrakes
Population:  Fairly Populated
Notables:    Kyra is the main home of the Itsines. Many other beings live here as well. Humans only enter when on an adventure or seeking a familiar. This is due to the forests dense growth.


                 Kyra is the home to most Itsine as they tend to live high in the treetops in makeshift tree houses. Many believe that the Great Tree in the center of the forests of Kyra actually birthed the first Itsine. The Great Tree is most commonly called the World Tree by the residents of the region. Kyra is filled with dense foliage and is green year round, which allows for great fruit harvests. There are many waterfalls, rivers and small lakes dotted across this region. There are also many Ravines and Deep Chasms that go deep into the ground. Many wonder what is hidden down in the depths of these Chasms. The capital city of Kyra is actually located in the lower branches of the Great Tree. Even though it is dotted with chasms there is one that is truly large and heads deep into the world's crust. 

Architecture:  Mostly wooden structures built high up in the trees. Rope ladders and bridges connect the buildings. There are holes in the top of most of the building to let smoke from fires and stoves out of the buildings. The buildings are often decorated with different kinds of flora and wood carvings.

LeafSide


The Fertile Farmlands Region

Climate:     Moderate[Humid]
Terrain:     Fertile Plains[Open], Forests[Temperate], Hills
Primary Race[s]: Humins, Druiste, Itsine, Klysst, Shadouwls
Population:  Highly Populated
Notables:    Mostly home to farmers, ranchers, and healers Leaf Side is the most populated and well structured region of Athna. Flora Mages are also found all over this region as they research and raise different kinds of Flora.


                 Leaf Side is riddled with farm lands and rice paddies, it also is known to have the largest outdoor market place in all of Athna. It is bordered by the 6 other regions as well as having a portion touched by the vast oceans. The capital of Leaf Side is also the biggest city in all of Athna! It is also the region with the most sightings of shadow worshipers. The Royal Family resides in The capital city of Nyria when you approach the city you can see the castle looming over it! If you are in the northernmost part of Leaf Side make sure to stop and take a look at the Tiable Ruins hidden along the side of the mountains. Between the capital city and the Tubil Basin is what appears to be a small city but is actually is the adventurer guild's headquarters. 

Architecture: Decorative architecture with many supporting beams. These buildings usually have short tower-like rooms with rounded spire roofs. In this region it is common to have many windows built into the buildings giving them an open and airy feeling.The buildings of this region are made up of wood, plaster and brick. They look very tidy and clean in their construction. The region is also covered in windmills which supply most of the power to the buildings within it.

Glar Pryae


The Deep Rivers Region

Climate:     Humid, SubTropical
Terrain:     Rainforest[Temperate], Hills, Mountains, Rivers, 
Primary Race[s]: Klysst, MothDrakes, Humins
Population:  Fairly Populated
Notables:    Glar Pryae is a region that is well known for its deep and wide rivers! It is the home to the main Naval Base.


                  Glar Pyrae is a lovely place to visit if you love warm tropical winds and the occasional unexpected downpour! Many love to take boat rides through the vast rivers or maybe a hike through the forests. This region is also a good place to visit if you want to find a Bup to befriend! Many who seek to join the navy traverse this region due to it being home to the Navy's headquarters. The naval headquarters are found in the southernmost part of this region and are connected to the Larsisst Bay. They launch most of their ships from the bay itself, even though the bay is rightly situated mostly in the Tubil Basin. In the north most part of Glar Pryae you will find the Mage Tower where the mages congregate to teach and learn new things and have somewhat created a small society of their own. The tower is surrounded on most sides by a mountain range and located in a hanging valley and thus well protected. Nestled between two rivers on the coastline you will find the City of Teltiia, this city is the biggest source of trade for this region.

Architecture: The buildings in this region mostly sit upon stilts and many are even built across some of the smaller rivers. This is due to the fact the region is covered in rivers and often floods. They are made of stone and wooden supports mostly. They tend to have smaller round windows. The roofs tend to just be logs cut in half and stacked to points at the center. They use magic to make the buildings waterproof. Most of the buildings are built by the rivers for ease of transportation via boat.

Esheye Islands


The Colorful Islands Region

Climate:     Moderate [Mediterranean]
Terrain:     Lightly Forested[Jungle], Oceanic, Mountainous[dormant volcanoes]
Primary Race[s]: Humins, Lyricse, Itsine
Population:  Heavy
Notables:    This region gets the most tourists out of all the others. I mean who doesn't want to go to the beach or a tropical island?


                  The Esheye Islands main source of income is tourism but that isn't its only source. This region is the main source of seafood in all of Athna! Their fishing industry is booming alongside its tourism. Its capital Esteaseas is the main place to visit on these islands due to the large resort that is on its border. Looking for relaxation?  Then take a short ride from the capital city to Clypius Resort! The resort prides itself on the Spa and water park it contains! It also has tours of the surrounding Colorous Reefs!

Architecture: This region is known for its bright white stone buildings covered in decorations and colorful murals. The buildings tend to have floor to ceiling windows and few inner walls. Often there are decorations strung over the streets from one building to the next. The walls around the paths and things are decorated in bright cheerful mosaic pieces.

Frysie Isles


The Floating Isles Region

Climate:     Moderate [Semi-Humid]
Terrain:     Mountainous, Floating
Primary Race[s]: Glemste, Humins, Itsine
Population:  Fairly Populated
Notables:    The temple like buildings found all over this region are in fact small academies! There are a total of 9 magic academies.


                  This region is mostly Floating Isles with some mountains that reach to the skies.  This region is home to the magic academy and its smaller branches. There are a total of 9 sections of the magic academy: The Central Academy, The 7 elemental temples and The spirit Temple.  The Frysie Isles are littered with small forests, rivers and spectacular waterfalls. As the academies have become completely self sustaining they have essentially built themselves into cities. They have markets and many other things that other towns and cities have. Most of the Isles do not have fences around the edges so make sure you don't walk straight off the side of them.

Architecture: The buildings of this region are stone structures built into the floating islands. These structures are partially carved out to the islands and mountains themselves. They are quite old from times long lost and covered in vines and other foliage. Some of the buildings are not but rubble of great things that once were. The main architectural element of these buildings are their vaulted ceilings and grand decorative arches. Rope bridges strengthened with magic connect a majority of the bigger islands together.

Tubil Basin


The Water Ridden Lands Region

Climate:     Tropical Wet
Terrain:    Marshland, Swamp, River Ridden
Primary Race[s]: Lyricse, Klysst
Population:  Fairly Populated
Notables:    This region is riddled with lakes, rivers and Lagoons. Beware where you step though cause what appears to be solid ground might not be!


                  The Tubil Basin is known as the Water Ridden Lands for a reason, this region is almost completely covered in water. The capital city of the Tubil Basin is actually located underwater! Bryins is located in the center of the Tubil Basin at the bottom of Trident lake. All the waterways in the Tubil Basin are connected and thus the Lyricse can travel throughout the entire region. Trident Lake is located in the exact center of the largest land mass in this region. If you aren't there to see Trident Lake or go to Bryins City I suggest you check out Dusill Beach! The beach is known for its white sands and caves!

Architecture: The buildings deep underwater are built of stone and coral. Windows have no glass as it is unneeded under water. The cities are covered in intricate carvings of creatures that live under the water, including well known historical figures. The lighting deep underwater is that of bioluminescent corals and sponges. Many of the buildings have domed roofs. The buildings above water are usually small and made of stone. They are often covered in mosses and fungus.

Floetsnurg


The Frozen Tundra Region

Climate:     Tundra. SubArctic
Terrain:     Lightly Forested, Glacier, Mountainous
Primary Race[s]:  Humins, Unknown
Population:  Sparse
Notables:    Mostly inhabited by humins seeking to be away from the hustle and bustle this region is rarely visited. There is a strange race of beings that reside here though no one is quite sure what or who they are.


                  This region is very cold and many do not wish to visit, there are three main reasons people come to Floetsnurg. Some people come to visit the Celeste Temple to thank the Celestials for protecting them from the evil that comes to the mainland from the oceans. Others come to visit the Louvelt Hot Springs that are nestled into the side of the mountains in the northern part of the region. When entering this region of ice, snow and biting winds make sure you bundle up well! Some humans come to live in this region to set up homes away from the hustle and bustle of the more inhabited regions. If you like playing in the snow though coming to this region for a day doesn't sound so bad.

Architecture: The few buildings dotted along the landscape are made a dark stone. This stone absorbs the sunlight and keeps the inside of the buildings warm. The inside of the buildings are often covered in thick furs to insulate the walls further. The outside of the buildings are quite plain and unassuming with no ornamentation at all. This is to maximize the surface for absorbing the sunlight.

Valasia


The Lava River Lands Region

Climate:     Semi-Arid
Terrain:     Volcanic Lands, Mountainous, Canyonous
Primary Race[s]:  Trusnic
Population:  Somewhat Populated
Notables:    The only species that seems to thrive in this hot and danger ridden region is the Trusnic.


                  The region of Valasia is made up of rivers and pools of lava and littered with volcanoes. Most of the mountains in this region are actually volcanoes and they are all active and ready to blow at any time. Strangely when the volcanoes erupt the lava and ash never goes into the adjacent regions. Due to this region's volatile nature many avoid it to the best of their abilities. There are also small hot springs dotted around but no one really wants to get in those. After all it is already far too hot!

Architecture: There are just a handful of stone ruins scattered along the landscape of this region. Most of the residents are nomadic in nature due to the constant lava flow shifts. So instead of solid structures you will find small groups of tents popping up and disappearing along the mountains and valleys of this region.
Capital City:  N/A, lava flows change frequently so no permanent structures are created

Grygor Plains


Land Of DEATH

Climate:     Arid
Terrain:     Desert
Primary Race[s]:  Grygor
Population:  Unknown
Notables:    Only fools enter this region, this place of death and despair.


                    Much is unknown about this region and only the Shadow Worshipers dare tread upon this land. The miasma that flows from the pillars along with the sickly light is enough to make any sane person stay far away.

Architecture: Unknown, the only known structures are that of The Pillars.
