This is going to be very personal so the TL;DR, I don't currently have access to my old discord account.

I'm sure everybody has been kind of surprised by the radio silence on my end and I wanted to explain myself. This is kind of a personal post, but as some of you may have heard my partner and I broke up suddenly last August and worked together everyday for 8 hours everyday for the eight months that followed. It was the final loss in a string of tragic events that was the straw that broke the camels back. He was a big part of Chaimis too so it was hard to face all of the posts and references. The last nine months were really damaging with things increasingly getting worse and my anxiety got so bad that I wasn't able to open my personal discord account without having panic attacks of seeing things that were reminders. I went through a lot of really bad things, and in all honesty I was genuinely offline for most of the last year.

I'm really happy to say I'm in a lot better place now. I had a lot of therapy, I've been productive and actually happy the last two weeks for the first time in a long time. I've been working hard to take care of myself and try my best to feel safe again going online, and I've returned to TH in some small capacity! BUT with that said, I don't have access to my old discord account at the moment.

I'll rejoin the Chaimi server under that account when I'm settled in :) I might be slow to reply, but I'm back. And I deeply apologize for going missing for so long, I owe you guys the biggest, most fun Chaimi event when I get back <3

Hey everybody!

As some of you may know, I suddenly lost my grandfather that lived with us on my birthday last month and a lot has happened that has been very very crazy. The funeral was finally today but there's a lot going on. I was lucky to have the awesome mods who helped me through but for all of our sakes, I'm extending **ALL** MYO slots from the June 2022 event to August 7th. This means that you will be able to submit your designwithout penalty until that date.

Please note that:

- This is the **drop dead deadline** meaning that there will not be any extensions beyond this, regardless of circumstance. 

- Future MYO events will not allow extensions for any reasons anymore as it makes approvals very difficult and stressful on us. I understand this is very frustrating especially given genuine reasons but it makes it difficult to approve

- Please do not pressure staff to approve or complete a request. Please understand that these take time to sort out.

Juliette paced the length of her café. Dried tea leaves cluttered the floor, crunching under her flats with each step. There was something that unsettled her; brewing thoughts steeped her mind in uncertainty. This last year she had accomplished so little, but it felt as though she had the world on her shoulders for the entire time. As she turned on her heels, her eyes suddenly met with a familiar pair of shoes.

“I think people used to walk on grapes to make grape juice,” Calli said, “But I don’t think that works for tea.” A slight giggle escaped Calli’s lips as a dazed Juliette locked eyes with her best friend.

“I spilled it,” Juliette said weakly. “I didn’t know what to do.” 

“Well, good thing you have a great amazing bestie who will help you fix this mess right up!” Calli trotted over the the storage closet and grabbed the broom, grasping it in both her hands. Juliette held out her hands but Calli pulled the broom closer to herself before gesturing for Juliette to sit down. “What’s wrong, Juliette? You’re gloomier than usual!”

“I’m not sure,” She says, shaking her head. “I just feel kind of… claustrophobic.” Juliette looked out the window as her best friend swept up the crushed tea leaves into a neat pile on the floor. 

“Could it be that you’re feeling overworked?” Calli said, shaking her head. “You have to take it easy and remember to take breaks!” Talking to Calli came naturally most of the time,

“I guess you could say I spilled the tea,” Juliette giggles nervously, playing with the hibiscus bracelet resting snugly against her wrist. Calli shook her head at her friend, while letting her breath be broken by a small giggle. She skipped over to Juliette, clutching both of her hands in her own. 

“Follow me.”

Hands over her eyes, Juliette stumbled blindly into her friend’s garden. She squinted her eyes, noting the light through the cracks of her fingers. With the cue from her friend, she removed her hands to reveal her closest friends beaming at her. The fairy lights were draped over the garden tent, a beautifully baked cake taking center stage. 

“SURPRISE!” some of the group shouted, while the rest began singing a traditional birthday song. Juliette’s eyes welled up, realizing she had forgotten her own birthday. Her friends led her to her birthday cake, as she caught sight of the teacups and party hats lining the table. The cake glistened with moisture and icing; Juliette knew Lysander’s baking from anywhere.

“Before you blow them out,” Aaron exclaimed, “I want to grab a picture of you guys!” 

“Ready?!” Calli yelled, hopping on the table next to Juliette as Aaron held up the camera, 

“Teaaaaas~!”

||Frequently Asked Questions||

Q: When will these be removed from the Lulu store?

A: They will always be available unless it is removed automatically.

Q: I wanted to participate but I couldn't get my art in on time. Can you still include me?

A: Unfortunately due to the amount of work that goes into this book and index, there was a hard deadline.  We might do another in the future. If you would like to be included, there is a possibility to add you to a future edition of the economy print and PDF copies so you are welcome to contact but I will likely be removing the files from my laptop as I don't have the time to maintain.

Q: I submitted my art on time but I don't see it included.

A: Contact me immediately. There were cases where a person had left the community or we had reason to believe we should remove it.

Q: Why does the premium print have one fewer page? 

A: I got permission from Chi too late to include it in the premium print as I had a 50 page limit for cost reasons for the premium print. Due to the way the books are printed, there would be additional paper waste with an uneven number of pages. The economy version has this page because the cost of additional pages is reasonable.

Q: I want a print but I want a different combo of options (i.e. hardcover, coated pages with standard print, premium with the additional page etc)

A: Message me and I can get it set up for you if the request is reasonable. Please use the quote tool to ensure the cost is okay before requesting.

Q: How are you making no money on this?

A: The printing is print on demand. All of the cost is going towards printing as per the lulu guidelines. You can double check prices using the quote tool and the price breakdowns below each section. The main reason is because this is a community celebration. The physical copies are to celebrate a year in Teacup rather than make a profit.

Q: How can I calculate shipping?

A: See Lulu's quote tool for approximate shipping cost. It is around $5USD to the US, $7 to canada etc.

Utilizing the TH World

Discord has had a real benefit as we started our shop and our working currency on there. However, those who are off-discord or off-site have been missing out on a lot of different events and plotlines. A digital and Physical art book that shows off your favourite piece of Chaimi art! An art book is a photo book exclusively containing art! Anyone is welcome regardless of skill. This is to commemorate one year as a community!

 

**RULES: **

- You may submit existing art. You are not required to draw anything new!

- Commissioned work must have written and in-depth proof of the artist consenting to the use. If your drawing features a Chaimi you do not own you also require permission.

- One art submission PER PERSON

- By participating you are consenting to have the work placed in the artbook in both digital and possibly physical forms. 

- Hard Copies will not gain any profit on our end. It will be available on Lulu.com to buy. We do not gain your information, nor will there be any profits received for us. The price will be with no markup and will exclusively go to printing and material costs. 

- 300pi CYMK is recommended! 8.5 x 11 inches is the CONFIRMED size but I can format it however
