Teafling Traits

OVERVIEW

Teaflings, the demon species native to the island continent of Camellia, are a population known for their glass horns and feet filled with tea, as well as their distinctive teabag tails. Each have a unique blend name, and the species is known to decorate their hair, and occasionally wings (provided they have them), with decorum representative of their brew name or ingredients.

In example, the species mascot, Owen, has a blend name of Vanilla Chai, and uses star anise and cinnamon to represent ingredients within the blend itself.

LORE

In Camellia

Camellia, home of the Teaflings, is a true democratic state within Infernium. Once it was ruled by Ostran, Devil of the Teaflings, but for circumstances unknown, he stepped down from rule, changing his appearance to better blend in with the mortals around him. Though his name is still revered as a god within the temples, he is no longer seen a ruling figure on the mortal plain.

Summoning

Like any demon, Teaflings are capable of being summoned by humans as well as other sapient creatures, provided they exist on a parallel plain. By no means are Teaflings forced into contract though, and a deal must be struck between the demon and their summoner.

TRAITS

Tea

Common Teaflings are allowed to have one of three kinds of tea as the base tea type in their blend: Black tea, Green tea, or White tea.

These types of tea are all Camellia sinensis, and have all been minimally processed.

EARS

Common Teaflings have Elven, or Pointed, ears. These may be any size within reason, but must be the same color as the individual's skin (which itself may be any human shade, any light shade of red, or a light shade of their tea color)

HORNS

Common Teaflings have small, or nub, horns. These are no larger than half the size of their head.

Tails

Common Teaflings always have a single, intact teabag tail, with no less than 3, and no more than 5, small teabags along the length of tail, and one large teabag at the end.

Add-Ins

Common Teaflings can have sugar and/or ice as add-ins that appear within both their horns and their hooves.

Materials

Common Teaflings always have clear glass as the only material on their horns and hooves. This may be any translucent color, but MUST be transparent enough to determine the color of the tea beneath.

Feet

Common Teaflings always have hooves, and they're always odd-toed ungulate hooves (like a horse).

Tea

Uncommon Teaflings are allowed to have one of two kinds of tea as the base tea type in their blend: Pu'er tea or Oolong tea.

These types of tea are all Camellia sinensis, and have all been processed in one way or another.

EARS

Uncommon Teaflings may have ungulate ears. These may be any hooved animal ears, of any size within reason.

HORNS

Uncommon Teaflings may have either head sized horns, same form as the small horns, but larger, or roundhorns.

Tails

Uncommon Teaflings always have a single teabag tail, but the teabag itself may be damaged/ripped open, thus spilling the content of the bags. There may be no less than 3 and no more than 5 small teabags along the length of tail, and one large teabag at the end.

Add-Ins

Uncommon Teaflings can have cream and/or boba as add-ins that appear within both their horns and their hooves.

Materials

Uncommon Teaflings may have stained glass at the tips and base of their horns, and around the edges of their hooves. These pieces are different colors than the clear glass base, but still must be translucent, NOT opaque.

Feet

Uncommon teaflings always have hooves, but they may be even-toed, like that of a deer.

Tea

Rare Teaflings are allowed to have one of two kinds of tea as the base tea type in their blend: Herbal tea or Rooibos tea.

These types of tea are not Camellia sinensis, but are still treated and brewed as proper teas.

EARS

Rare Teaflings may have mammal ears. These may be of any size within reason.

HORNS

Rare Teaflings may have large horns. Obscenely large, if you're feeling wild enough.

Tails

Rare Teaflings can have two intact teabag tails
They cannot be broken without the addition of an uncommon trait. (You automatically have access to these with a Rare MYO, but if you're adding a rare trait to a common MYO, you cannot have two broken tails without adding a rare trait AND an uncommon trait).
There may be no less than 3 and no more than 5 small teabags along each length of tail, and one large teabag at the end.

Add-Ins

Rare Teaflings can have candy and/or drizzles/syrups as add-ins that appear within both their horns and their hooves.

Materials

Rare Teaflings may have porcelain at the tips and base of their horns, and around the edges of their hooves. These pieces may be any sort of pattern, and opaque.

Feet

Rare teaflings can have mammal paws in place of hooved feet, and be either plantigrade or digitigrade in leg stature. The typical glass seen on the hooves takes the place of the claws and paw pads, complete with tea inside.

Tea

Legendary Teaflings are allowed to have any safe to consume liquid that's normal to have as a beverage in place of their tea.
This does not include body fluids of any kind

EARS

Legendary Teaflings may have either avian or bat-like wings in place of their ears. These must be on the darker end of the color scale.

HORNS

Legendary Teaflings are permitted to have a single horn, like a unicorn, rather than two demon horns.

Legendary Teaflings are permitted to have broken and cracked horns, resulting in the fluid within dripping out

Tails

Rather than having teabags, Legendary Teaflings may have loose leaf bundles of tea instead. There may be no less than 3 and no more than 5 small tea bundles along each length of tail, and one large tea bundle at the end.

Add-Ins

Legendary Teaflings can have inedible objects as add-ins that appear within both their horns and their hooves.

Materials

Legendary Teaflings may have other materials, aside from porcelain and glass at the tips and base of their horns, and around the edges of their hooves.

Feet

Legendary teaflings can have talons in place of hooved feet, either avian or reptilian. The typical glass seen on the hooves takes the place of the claws, complete with tea inside.

Misc. Traits

Legendary Teaflings can have permanent breaks in their skin, leaking their tea. This is not in any way harmful to the teafling, but is purely aesthetic.

Legendary Teaflings may have either avian or bat-like wings. These must be on the darker end of the color scale.
