Tearusyte Traits

OVERVIEW

With the last cup of tea you ordered, you recieved an odd flashdrive. Unbeknownst to you, it did not contain different drink recipes like the barista insisted, and instead has infected your device with an augmented alien malware.

Please ensure eye contact. Only good things can come from it, I promise.

This guide was last update April 11, 2024 and may not fully reflect the Virusyte Guide, so please make sure to check there too!
HDMI cables automatically go up through rare, so any rare virusyte traits are automatically useable. This is a condensed guide combining the Teafling guide with the Virusyte guide, so please check between the two for any distinctions that you need made! (Or feel free to ask in the questions forum.)

TRAITS

Tea

Common Tearusytes are allowed to have one of three kinds of tea as the base tea type in their tea blend: Black tea, Green tea, or White tea. (These types of tea are all Camellia sinensis, and have all been minimally processed.)

Tea is visible in the horns and hooves.

Ears

Common Tearusytes have Elven, or Pointed, ears. These may be any size within reason, but must be the same color as the individual's skin (which itself may be any human shade, any light shade of red, or a light shade of their tea color)

HORNS

Common Tearusytes have small, or nub, tea-filled horns. These are no larger than half the size of their head.

Antennae

Common Tearusytes have, in addition to horns, robotic antennae. These may be any shape so long as it comes off as robotic in nature.

Eyes

Every Tearusyte has a corrupted eye replaced by a floating shape. This can be on either side.
Common Tearusytes have simple shapes as their floating shape, such as a square, a heart, or an X - so long as it is single colored and without decoration of any kind.
The pupil of the non-corrupt eye MUST match the corrupt eye shape.

Tails

All Tearusytes require a parasitized teabag tail! Common Tearusytes have a single, intact teabag tail, with no less than 3, and no more than 5, small teabags along the length of tail, and one large teabag at the end. The color of the eye(s) MUST match the color of the corrupted eye!
(This does count as a Rare Virusyte trait when it comes to approval!! HDMI Cables can go up through rare though, so no worries)

Add-Ins

Common Tearusytes can have sugar and/or ice as add-ins that appear within their horns and their hooves.

Materials

Common Tearusytes always have clear glass as the only material on their horns and hooves. This may be any translucent color, but MUST be transparent enough to determine the color of the tea beneath.

Feet

Common Tearusytes always have tea filled hooves, and they're always odd-toed ungulate hooves (like a horse).

Detachments

Common Tearusytes have 1 to 2 detachments, which may only appear on the arms.

Tea

Uncommon Tearusytes are allowed to have one of two kinds of tea as the base tea type in their blend: Pu'er tea or Oolong tea. (These types of tea are all Camellia sinensis, and have all been processed in one way or another.)

Tea is visible in the horns and hooves

Ears

Uncommon Tearusytes may have ungulate ears. These may be any hooved animal ears, of any size within reason.

HORNS

Uncommon Tearusytes may have either head sized horns, same form as the small horns, but larger, or roundhorns.

Antennae

Uncommon Tearusytes have, in addition to horns, bug or alien-like antennae. These may be any shape so long as it comes off as bug-like or alien-like in nature.

Eyes

Uncommon Tearusytes have icons or complex shapes as their floating shape. Please see the Virusyte guide linked above for examples.
The pupil of the non-corrupt eye MUST match the corrupt eye shape.

Tails

Uncommon Tearusytes always have a single teabag tail, but the teabag itself may be damaged/ripped open, thus spilling the content of the bags. There may be no less than 3 and no more than 5 small teabags along the length of tail, and one large teabag at the end.

In additon, this teabag tail may have multiple parasites, meaning its smaller teabags may have eyes and a mouth as well!
Please note that ripped open teabags may double as a mouth for the parasite - normally the mouth is constructed in a way to not allow for the spillage of tealeaves, but in this case, the rip itself may double as a mouth.

Add-Ins

Uncommon Tearusytes can have cream and/or boba as add-ins that appear within their hornsand hooves

Materials

Uncommon Tearusytes may have stained glass at the tips and base of their horns, and around the edges of their hooves. These pieces are different colors than the clear glass base, but still must be translucent, NOT opaque.

Feet

Uncommon Tearusytes always have tea filled hooves, but they may be even-toed, like that of a deer.

Detachments

Uncommon Tearusytes have anywhere from 1 to 4 detachments, which may appear on the legs as well as the arms. The detached limb may be glitched.

Clipping Objects

Uncommon Tearusytes may have small clipping objects around them, such as pop-up windows or other small glitches.

Wings

Uncommon Tearusytes may have funcional wings located anywhere on the body. These must be either avian or bat-like in form, and on the darker end of the color scale.

Tea

Rare Tearusytes are allowed to have one of two kinds of tea as the base tea type in their blend: Herbal tea or Rooibos tea. (These types of tea are not Camellia sinensis, but are still treated and brewed as proper teas.)

Tea is visible in the horns and hooves

Ears

Rare Tearusytes may have mammal ears. These may be of any size within reason.

HORNS

Rare Tearusytes may have large horns. Obscenely large, if you're feeling wild enough.

Antennae

Rare Tearusytes have, in addition to horns, antennae. These may be object like, or any previously unmentione shape.

Eyes

Every Tearusyte has a corrupted eye replaced by a floating shape. This can be on either side, or replacing both eyes.
Rare Tearusytes have decorated shapes as their floating shape. Please see the Virusyte guide linked above for examples.
The pupil of the non-corrupt eye does not have to match the corrupt eye shape.

Tails

Rare Tearusytes can have two teabag tails, and provided that an uncommon trait is added used, the teabags may be damaged/ripped open, thus spilling the contents. There may be no less than 3 and no more than 5 small teabags along each length of tail, and one large teabag at the end.
If a Tearusyte has two teabag tails, BOTH are parasitized.

In addition the the parasitized teabag tail(s), a Rare Tearusyte may have parasites on other parts of their bodies. These do not have to be teabags.

Add-Ins

Rare Tearusytes can have candy and/or drizzles/syrups as add-ins that appear within their horns and hooves

Materials

Rare Tearusytes may have porcelain at the tips and base of their horns, and around the edges of their hooves. These pieces may be any sort of pattern, and opaque.

Feet

Rare Tearusytes can have mammal paws in place of hooved feet, and be either plantigrade or digitigrade in leg stature. The typical glass seen on the hooves takes the place of the claws and paw pads, complete with tea inside.

Detachments

Rare Tearusytes have any number of detachments (at LEAST one), which may appear on the legs as well as the arms, even severing the tail into pieces.
