I hope nighty's doing okay, I'm really worried for them and their loved ones. Hope she takes her time and recovers from her surgery, I'd hate to see them get into any more harm.

nighty's surgery went very smoothly, actually, and she's recovering well too- thank you for your concern! however, she will more than likely need a few months (one minimum) to get some well-deserved rest and cope with everything that's been happening as of late. she is receiving direct support from friends and other figures physically present in her life, though i and several others, including marigold, remain in touch with her. nighty is also quite busy with school and is working on projects of her own, for which she may need extended periods to herself.
i've heard that most recently, she has been planning to use her experience as a means of raising awareness about the consequences of driving irresponsibly. so many people treat this topic like a joke, or simply as "common sense," until they themselves experience it. hopefully, with the collected funds, she will also compel those in power to implement more precautionary measures (i.e. changes to the roads themselves, such as barriers, and harsher punishments for those who violate the law) and mandatory testing as drivers and their senses grow older. even formally licensed drivers are imperfect and can occasionally make poor, in-the-moment decisions with the potential to cause devastating accidents. this is be a highly ambitious, yet nonetheless noble cause, and i will do my best to help her (and all others affected by this issue) succeed in every possible way.
words cannot describe how proud i am of nighty for her resilience, courage, and altruism in the face of these difficult circumstances. should she decide at any given time to return to toyhou.se, the specibloom community and i will welcome her back with open arms <33
I truly will support her decision to change laws around driving. I'm really proud of her making the decision to not just raise awareness about this topic, but also to take legal action against irresponsible driving in real life. If there's anything I can do to help her raise awareness about this topic onsite once she comes back, then please let her know that I'm always here for no matter what happens. Although I know they wouldn't consider me that much of a friend, I truly want her to know that the entire site has got her back, and would be willing to hear and follow what she had to do :] by the way, thank you so much for helping me keep in touch with nighty! I really appreciate your efforts to run the species and keep it active, it's really hard to do ^^;

i have some of the traits worked out already:
canine species: silver fox
cold-blooded species: mantis shrimp
plant: red spider lily
horn/antler type: prong
accessories: red ropes, ribbon w/ bells, lanterns hanging from tail, cobweb (fishnet) sleeves on front legs, rings, gold flecks in gel
size: medium-small (can grow and retract limbs at will)
skeleton: complete
other: 3 pairs of legs by default, long droopy whiskers, second pair of eyes (lower) always remains shut, w/ prominent eyelashes
let me know if you'd be interested in maybe adopting this one once it's complete! i'm thinking if i make a second one it'll be a blue-ringed octopus...

Let's say someone had a MYO and wanted someone to design them
Are they able to request/commission the person to design them or does the MYO must be designed from the owner of the MYO?
these are all subspecies in the specibloom world!
bioblooms tend to live in darker places, hence their bioluminescent/glowy traits. they may also be predisposed to have shaped pupils compared to the average specibloom
cryoblooms are known to have patches of ice and glaciers covering areas of their bodies and tend to have plants originating from taigas.
cryptoblooms are mystical and strange beings that would obviously deviate from what one would expect of a specibloom. they may be enveloped in clouds or have patterned jelly, possessing traits of mythical creatures, etc. some elements of their designs can even be mildly comedic!

Hello there! I have come with a suggestion! Maybe allow there to be an astral/space subspecies? I mean, the tides are controlled by the moon! It would be cool to see some of these with certain astral traits such as aquatic tails with certain debris inbedded into them and such! Or possibly put a trait where different natural particles can be found in the jelly covering?
Also, I was wondering about the Masterlist. I just acquired a specibloom that doesn't seem to be on it yet 👉👈
thanks for the suggestion! we've actually been discussing whether to implement this as a separate subspecies! i've had a design in mind for a while, and it features traits such as crystal antlers and jelly w/ constellations in it (almost resembling space dust), as well as rings- i just wasn't entirely sure whether another category would be necessary unless more designs of the type were made. i suppose we'll have to be more active now that the demand for speciblooms has skyrocketed so much ^^

hello! i hope you don't mind me butting into this conversation, but that depends on who you commission! nighty's sbc prices will be double the price in points (for example, specibloom customs cost around 1,000-1,500 da points, so they would cost around 2,000-3,000 in sbc). i only take sbc, and my off-base specibloom customs cost 900-1,000 sbc depending on complexity. snowflake hasn't organized her shop yet, so we'll have to wait and see what her prices will look like.
*Quietly waits for MYO event* (and ofc as soon as I'm banned from Scratch, the species is released qwq)
I will be patient. There will be challenges, but no challenge is greater than conquering the stop sign at the end of the street! (Yeah, I wrote an appeal, but it won't be read until like, Feb, and that's if it's read qwq)
