nighty's surgery went very smoothly, actually, and she's recovering well too- thank you for your concern! however, she will more than likely need a few months (one minimum) to get some well-deserved rest and cope with everything that's been happening as of late. she is receiving direct support from friends and other figures physically present in her life, though i and several others, including marigold, remain in touch with her. nighty is also quite busy with school and is working on projects of her own, for which she may need extended periods to herself.

i've heard that most recently, she has been planning to use her experience as a means of raising awareness about the consequences of driving irresponsibly. so many people treat this topic like a joke, or simply as "common sense," until they themselves experience it. hopefully, with the collected funds, she will also compel those in power to implement more precautionary measures (i.e. changes to the roads themselves, such as barriers, and harsher punishments for those who violate the law) and mandatory testing as drivers and their senses grow older. even formally licensed drivers are imperfect and can occasionally make poor, in-the-moment decisions with the potential to cause devastating accidents. this is be a highly ambitious, yet nonetheless noble cause, and i will do my best to help her (and all others affected by this issue) succeed in every possible way.
