Deep Sea Trait Set

If you're just looking for pictures, view the trait guides here! However, we recommend you read these descriptions to have a full understanding of the traits.

Please read the Trait Overview before you read this entry.

The Deep Sea trait set is a minor trait set, meaning it adds on to major trait sets.

DEEP SEA TRAITS
“Deep Sea traits are variants of other trait sets and these traits add onto them. The cosmetic section does not limit these cosmetics to DS Shifters, either—which means you must have at least ONE TRAIT of a DS Shifter, not just cosmetics. There are also no rarity limitations to DS traits—if you have an “Uncommon DS MYO,” that doesn’t restrict DS traits, just the normal Shifter traits. You don’t need one of every type of DS trait.”

BIOLUMINESCENCE:

- Bioluminescent Lure: Some Shifters can have lures, and these often don't recede, similar to antenna and whiskers (as a shrimp, the Shifter must have a lure).
- Bioluminescent Scales: Some Shifters’ scales may glow!
- Bioluminescent Antenna and/or Whiskers: Some Shifter’s antenna or whiskers may glow, similar to a lure!

EYES:

- Eye Stalks: Sometimes, eyes can extend on antennas as “stalks,” allowing them to have visual excellence. These may be in addition to normal eyes, or replace them.
- No Eyes: Because some Deep Sea Shifters live in the deepest levels of the ocean, some have completely lost their eyesight.
- 3+ Eyes: In contrary to having no eyes, some Shifters have more eyes than normal. They typically aren’t as deep in the water as Shifters with no eyes.

OTHER BODY MODS:

- Fluff: Typically present in Deep Sea Shifters living in colder waters, some are born with fuzz that can keep their humanoid bodies warm. They aren’t necessarily  covered head to toe.
- Transparency: Instead of skin, there might be a transparent membrane. It's not as thick as skin, but it's better than no layer of protection. It's a little gross, since you can usually see the muscle underneath... (as a shrimp, the Shifter must have some transparent features, if not be entirely transparent). This can be anywhere, but keep in mind muscles may not be transparent, so they may cover the organs or skeleton. But this is up to you!
