NPCs and Players

Players

Other people participating in the ARPG.

Player Characters

Player Characters are characters owned by other people in the ARPG.

Player Characters can be:

  • Delvorinan Dolls
  • Delvorinan Doll Hybrids

Companion Characters

Companion Characters are characters that aren't Delvorinan Dolls, but belong to one of the other Species on Delvorina, like Saixnesh and Drothavese. These characters are most often pets/mounts/companions that are going to always be with a player character. They are not required to be tied to a Doll, but often are.

Companion Characters can be:

  • Drothavese
  • Indrurs
  • Saixnesh

True NPCs

True NPCs are just that, Non-Player Characters. They technically belong to the ARPG itself, and act as plot devices. You can interact with them, but only in certain situations, and you can only get set, predetermined items and/or info from them.

These characters are registered under the Owner’s username in the Archive or the Delvorina account, for organization purposes.

True NPCs can be:

  • Delvorinan Dolls
  • Delvorinan Doll Hybrids
  • Drothavese
  • Indrurs
  • Saixnesh

Custom NPCs

Custom NPCs are background characters in your story. They can be children, pets, parents, siblings, friends, and other people that would show up a decent amount of times to have some information. They are meant to be character/world development plot devices and are only used to describe player characters and areas in greater detail. Like a friendly baker your Main Doll gets their favorite bread from whenever they visit and that they like to talk to for a few minutes each morning. They’re important enough to mention, and have some basic info, but not enough to be an actual character. They’re permanently tied to another character and often have limited information about them. Because of this you don’t need a ticket to make them, but if they’re going to be an actual character then you must get a ticket for them and get them approved.

These characters are not registered in the Archive.

Companion NPCs can be:

  • Delvorinan Dolls
  • Delvorinan Doll Hybrids
  • Drothavese
  • Indrurs
  • Saixnesh
  • Any other sentient species (must look like a Doll)
  • Any other non-sentient species (must look like a Doll)

Interactive Event Characters

Characters from Interactive Events fall into either the True NPC or Player categories. They could also be Adopts!

These characters are registered under the Delvorina Official Account’s Username in the Archive if a True NPC, or their owner’s Username in the Archive if a Player character, for organization purposes.

Doll Ranks

All Player Characters and True NPCs have a Rank. This corresponds to what their occupation and/or social status is.

The gist of this for statuses:

Deities, Monarchs, Demigods, and Vessels can only be made by World Helpers and Staff Members. Nobles vary depending on their job and their relation to the Monarchs. Only World Helpers and Staff Members can make Dolls that are related to the Monarchs, that are friends with them, or that work closely for/with them. Anyone can make Nobles that aren't close with/related to the Monarchs. Merchants/Craftsmen, Peasants/Serfs, and Rogues can all be made by anyone. The ranks in Clans and their statuses vary so you'll need to look for it the Clan's information.

Deity

Deities are supernatural beings/spirits with power over different aspects of reality.

Currently there are 1-2 Deities for each type of Magic. Information on them and Doll's religions can be found here.

Status

Deities cannot be made by Players/Members, Artists, Guest Artists, Event Team Members, Archivists, Guides, and Shopkeepers. World Helpers and Moderators can make or help with Deities with permission from the Owner and/or a Co-Owner. The Owner and Co-Owners can make Deities.

Monarch

Monarchs are the rulers of the Arahvaris Kingdom or Celecyaria Empire. Arahvaris Kingdom has Kings and Queens while Celecyaria Empire has Emperors.

Status

Monarchs cannot be made by Players/Members, Artists, Guest Artists, Event Team Members, Archivists, Guides, and Shopkeepers. World Helpers and Moderators can make or help with Monarchs with permission from the Owner and/or a Co-Owner. The Owner and Co-Owners can make Monarchs.

Noble

Nobles are part of the second highest class in both the Arahvaris Kingdom and Celecyaria Empire. Nobles may be Dolls working for the Monarchs, politicians, Dolls in charge of a city/town/village, Dolls in high positions in religious groups, and Dolls with lots of money, power, and influence. Nobles may also be related to Monarchs or Dolls with the listed jobs/positions.

Status

Nobles that have any sort of relationship with Monarchs outside occasional, brief interactions (ex. family, friends, councilors) cannot be made by Players/Members, Artists, Guest Artists, Event Team Members, Archivists, Guides, and Shopkeepers. World Helpers and Moderators can make or help with Nobles in these positions with permission from the Owner and/or a Co-Owner. Nobles that do not have relationships with Monarchs can be made by anyone. The Owner and Co-Owners can make Nobles in any position.

If you aren't sure about something, please ask a Staff Member.

Merchant/Craftsman

Merchants/Craftsmen own businesses or work for businesses making/selling/working on products and services.

Status

Merchants/Craftsmen can be made by anyone.

Peasant/Serf

Peasants/Serfs work for Merchants/Craftsmen, Nobles, and/or Monarchs. For example, they may be a farmhand or a servant.

Status

Peasants/Serfs can be made by anyone.

Rogue

Rogues do not belong to the Arahvaris Kingdom, Celecyaria Empire, or any of the Clans. They can have any job.

Status

Rogues can be made by anyone.

Clan Ranks

The ranks in a Clan will vary. You will need to check a Clan's information to see what its ranks are and their statuses.

Others?

There are a couple others that can be or have to be added to other ranks: Demigods and Vessels. Demigods are the offspring of a Deity and a mortal and/or Dolls that have been blessed or cursed by a Deity. Vessels are Dolls created by a Deity to house them so they can interact with/live amongst mortals without them finding out about their real identity. Some Deities need a Vessel in order to live on or directly interact with Delvorina.

Demigods and Vessels go alongside some other rank. Demigod can go with Monarch, Noble, Merchant/Craftsman, Peasant/Serf, Rogue, or they may be part of a Clan. Vessel will always go with Deity and one other: Monarch, Noble, Merchant/Craftsman, Peasant/Serf, Rogue, or they may be part of a Clan. Demigods and Vessels cannot go together. Demigods have their own soul/spirit, Vessels are soulless/spiritless bodies that can be used by Deities.

Status

Demigods and Vessels cannot be made by Players/Members, Artists, Guest Artists, Event Team Members, Archivists, Guides, and Shopkeepers. World Helpers and Moderators can make or help with Demigods and Vessels with permission from the Owner and/or a Co-Owner. The Owner and Co-Owners can make Demigods and Vessels.
