Carmen's Links
Ever since Carmen was a little kid, she absolutely idolized her grandfather, wanting to do everything he did. As she got older, it's very clear where her rowdiness and readiness to fight came from, as well as her love for bowling. She still looks up to Taka immensely, and enjoys getting to spend time with him whenever she can.
[Related] Taka is Carmen's grandfather. From the moment she was born he started prepping her on how to become a successful mob boss, especially with their group growing fast at this time. Her attitude, her wits, her strength, her love for bowling. Carmen is Taka's pride and joy. He has no doubts she'll be a great boss.
Ah, yes, one of the prime NERDS to mess with. Also helps that Annie's the grandkid of her grandfather's rival; makes bullying her even THAT much more satisfying. Only somewhat tolerates her for the fact that they're both on the same bowling team, and the team's gotta come before her other hobbies, right?
Annie tries to avoid Carmen whenever she can. Carmen is always picking on whoever's around her at school, but when it comes to her and Aniki it's like there are targets on their foreheads! She's not even the current Nightingale, what gives?! And bowling is STUPID!
Don's older sister. Carmen's fiercely protective of her lil' bro, even though he's only a year younger and just as capable as she is. She hopes that if he follows her for long enough he'll toughen up...eventually, right?
Carmen's little brother. He's always looked up to his older sister, though as he's gotten older, he wishes she'd reel it back JUST a bit. Still, his family comes first, and he'll always follow her lead (even if he lingers behind to try to do some damage control afterwards)
Carmen looks up to her father every bit as much as she looks up to her grandfather. She's eager to follow in his footsteps and take over the family business...although she would really appreciate it if he didn't act so embarrassingly at her bowling matches.
Justis is so proud of his daughter and the powerhouse she's turned out to be. He's confident that she'll be a perfect boss one day once she's got a little more experience in her. Makes an express effort to show up to all of her bowling tournaments and be her #1 fan.
Carmen loves her grandmother, she really, really does, but she's just so...so soft! It's hard for her to really relate to Colette in any way since they're so different. How on earth her grandfather ended up with a lady like her, she'll never really understand.
Colette sees much of Taka in her granddaughter, and she tries her best to support her as she can, even though Carmen tends to not care much for her attempts at bonding. She loves her granddaughter very much, though, and will always be willing to lend an ear for her.
Carmen knew her mom came from a family of stiffs, but her uncle really takes the cake. She blames him in part for Don's leaving the family, and resents him for it.
[Related] Carmen's uncle. Gil is absolutely disgusted with this horrendous mindset of a young adult ready to take over an underworld criminal organization. He's ashamed to share the same bloodline. The only silver lining of his grandfather being gone is that he doesn't have to see how far his family has deteriorated.
[Related] Ellie's daughter. Carmen looks up to her mom just as she looks up to her dad. The only thing she can't process is how she doesn't understand the joy of bowling; at least there's always someone on snack duty, then.
[Related] Carmen is almost an exact copy of her father, it absolutely baffles Ellie. The only difference she can see is that Carmen's a bit louder, while Justis can sometimes hide his mischievous thoughts with a calm expression. She's a handful all right, but Ellie loves her daughter.
