Hollow

**ABSTRACT**

 Hollow is the reaper and protector of the Sleepy Hollow Forest which is actually his name-sake. His main responsibility is to reap the evil souls and keep the forest safe for travelers. He also likes to spend his free time time protecting his mate Aiko's cardinal sanctuary while she sleeps. The skull marking on his face represents his reaper lineage, unfortunately it tends to put many off, making him appear quite intimidating. He loves his little brother Phantom, even if he forsook the family reaping business to pursue a career in the arts. He also has a fondness of his adopted sister Riptide and an unending love for his niece Calypso.  

Quiet, calm, thoughtful, strong-willed, intelligent, a natural leader Hollow is a real softie. He is always the first to offer help, especially if it is a damsel in distress, and will work himself to the bone to make people feel happy and safe. He can have a dominating presence at times and never has an issue being heard as he has a naturally confident voice and personality. It helps that he is a fox of few words so what he does say, he makes count. He is insecure in how the reaper marks on his face influence how others treat him and is often sad when he accidentally makes children cry or when others are too afraid to approach him to ask for help or direction. He doesn’t like being the object of fear in his community and doesn’t get out a lot because of it. Apparently there are horror stories told to children about the headless horsemen in the forest who steals and eats small children. It may only be a tactic to keep their children safe but when they actually meet him they are terrified. 

**BACKGROUND** 

Hollow is the oldest biological sibling of the reaper household. He has a slightly older adopted sister named Riptide and a younger brother named Phantom. Hollow is the official first born of the family, which entitles him to the continuation of the family business, strongest reaping abilities, and alpha reaper bloodline. He will eventually gain the title to head of the organization as will his first born, first grandchild, and so on. It is his duty to continue the practices and teachings of the reaper household. It may seem like a large responsibility, but he loves what he does and is forever loyal to the organization and his Father. His little brother Phantom hosts the beta bloodline. As long as Hollow remains childless it is his responsibility to teach Phantom how to uphold the codes and practices of the reaper tradition in the event Hollow ever dies without an heir, ending the present alpha bloodline. If he were to ever pass, Phantom would become the new heir to Alpha. Unfortunately, this would lead to utter chaos as Hollow has come to find out that his younger brother not only lacks interest in the sacred traditions, but also lacks the ability to wield the powers of a reaper in general. This is a genetic defect discovered during a previous altercation with a demon named astrid who attempted to use him as a host, forcing Hollow to extract him to save his brothers life. Reapers are immune to possession, so Hollow wasn’t expecting this outcome during their first live training session. His brother is now permanently scarred with the mark of the possessed which physically marks him as a failure in the eyes of the reaper community. Hollow will always blame himself for not being careful enough and will forever hold a grudge against the demon. It is now an ongoing concern that Phantom will not be able to continue the reaper bloodline due to this defect.

**RELATIONSHIPS**

**Aiko** Aiko and Hollow are dating. If you don’t think true love exists then here is your proof! He was wandering through her spirit grove one day where he bumped into her. They were very shy with each other at first but their love grew from there. It’s like they were meant for each other. Hollow reaps and extracts the souls from the darkness and the corrupted and those souls go to rest in the spirit grove where Aiko protects them from future harm. She is the only one to have seen past his rough and scary exterior to the sweet fox that resides inside.

**Poe** Hollow’s best bird pal and familiar. He found this raven when out on a mission. It was just a baby when he found him. Poe had fallen out of his nest but upon closer investigation it was discovered that his mother and siblings were eaten by a wild animal. Hollow took him in and nursed him into the full fledged bird he is today. He has stuck around since as they are now the best of pals.
