I want to do some character building and I cannot figure a better way then to have this antique shop owning, super dramatic, hex crafting mage build character then to have him talk to other characters or answer questions.
Argen hears the bell of the front door ringing. A Customer! A rare but welcome occurrence!
"Greetings valued vistor how can I-" Argen begins to greet before noticing how non-standard the patron is. Some sort of dragon? Wolf? Bah! A Customers a Customer! No matter how many extremities they have "...A-Hem Hello my other worldy patron, I am Argen and I own this Antique Shop!" He replies as he motions to the whole store "I deal in all manner of old trinkets and bobbles. See something that catches your eye?"
Thanatos is very interested in this shop.
"This shop... It is for hexes and dark magic? How intriguing..."
"No! This an antique store! I tried to market a Hex Shop and Dark Library but people didn't come! So I instead converted to a Antique Store! Where I deal in trinkets and bobbles and the like. It'd be bad for business if EVERYTHING in my store is cursed!" Argen replied "Only a few things."
"Mmmm you seem better off being cursed into an Armadillo then a lousy store owner. Or perhaps a whale, flopping around like some sort of headless chicken. So many curses you could endure~"
"What in the WEED are you TALKING about? You come into MY store and waltz up to me saying that I SHOULDN'T be a Store owner?! How will I get the money to fund my Hex Cult? Bank Robberies? Jewel Heists? Do I look like Arsène Lupin to you Foolwoman? Besides the life of an Phantom Thief is too hazardous for me! No I am far more comfortable just sitting in my store selling possibly cursed trinkets! Now if you're done with threatening me with a cursed life can I interest you in shrinking my stock of tea sets?"
"I do love to rile up the mages like this~ It's fun to see your silly little reactions. Frankly I can't stand the thought of competition, so cursing you into a lowly armadillo would make me happy. Least then, you wouldn't need to worry about store payments when I could simply take over and steal all your merch. Me being an evil witch and all that jazz~"
"HA! Good luck with that Foolwoman! I have been applying Counter-Curses to my person since I learned my first jinx! No Semi-Truck hell for me Ba-BEEEEEE! But still if you're gonna be here you should at least buy something. I got a collection of gothic decor that is NOT getting smaller and I am expecting an online purchase of stock to come in at any moment."
"It depends my draconian friend. I have items that make people lose their hair due to an increase in stress, warp to different hours of the day at random or just make them unlucky! I got quite a few Dark and MYSTERIOUS items. But uhhhh...for curiosities sake what is a Dragon like yourself looking for?"
"I was thinking more along the lines of dangerous dark magic... Or artifacts haunted by ancient spirits... As I am the god of death, I find it fascinating.... Of course I don't actually plan to use them to harm anyone, as that goes against my moral compass... It would just be for my personal collection... I greatly value life as I happen to be married to the goddess of life, Gaea...

"Well, on the subject of the former I have a policy against taking in possessed products. I am quite alright with all of my items staying still and be EXACTLY where I left them. And they are cursed by moi! So if you're looking for a gun that shoots a Black Hole Cluster or a Sword that cleaves the atoms between matter...Well I'm sorry I'm not about creating doomsday devices! Mayhaps after I get the Cult running maybe I'll consider an Apocalypse Stone or a Chamber that emits Plasma Energy or something. Right now I am content with objects of karmatic retribution."
