Likes: Cats, bagels, jewelry, games, adventure, making friends, Halloween, nighttime, full moons, and scary stories.

Dislikes: Being a ghost, rules, excuses, serious people, broccoli, and money.

Personality: Cheryl is very playful and friendly towards others. She's always excited to make new friends and has few things that would make her not want to be someone's friend. She's a bit unaware that some people are afraid of ghosts and tends to be unaware if someone is afraid of her. She very rarely lets anything get to her and almost always maintains a positive attitude. However, under her smile and forced happiness, Cheryl is actually quite bitter about her situation and the lack of anyone attempting to help her fix it. She very rarely shows this side of her, however. Her approach to seeing the majority of life as a game is likely a defense mechanism.

Home: Animal Planet: Glass Mansion

History: For a brief time, Cheryl and her brother Deerrain lived a peaceful life with the other elves. However, it wasn't long before they were forced to do Glades' bidding. Cheryl and Deerrain were the first two elves sent to Animal Planet to investigate the planet's surface for Ameritis Crystals. While Deerrain tried to take the mission seriously, Cheryl was more interested in having fun on the new planet and making friends. After a bunch of misadventures, the duo thought they found a lead on the location of an Amertis Crystal. Unfortunately, this actually happened to be the Cursed Demon Ruby, and Cheryl ended up receiving the curse after Deerrain nervously handed her the gem. The curse trapped Cheryl in a ghost-like state, leaving Deerrain to try to figure out a way to break the curse with no success. At some point, the duo began living in Glass Mansion, which doesn't actually seem to be made of glass.

Early into the story, Sketches, Lightning, Kitty, Racket, and Colors go to Glass Mansion for the sake of adventure and encounter Cheryl there, who takes great interest in them.

Current-Bio: Cheryl currently lives on Animal Planet in Glass Mansion. After meeting the main characters, Cheryl starts to leave the mansion more often to randomly appear on their adventures. She also spends a lot of time with Deerrain and the other elves, but does not participate in SAC or Glades' plans. While still looking for a way to break her curse, Cheryl has begun to have a lot more fun in her life since meeting the main characters.

Meta-History: Cheryl was created around 2011-2012 and is one of the first elves I created. However, like most of the elves, she originally wasn't intended to be an elf. Cheryl was originally an angel that became corrupted into a ghost-like state and even had a halo in her physical form. One early design had her as a humanoid with her ghost colors and her forehead gem was missing. Her eyes were also occasionally green in some old drawings and her necklace also wasn't originally part of her design. Eventually I decided to retool a few humanoid characters into elves and decided to add Cheryl into that backstory. Other than that, she actually hasn't changed too much over the years in terms of personality or in story terms.

Her name is not pronounced like "Sheryl" and instead sounds more like "Chair-ell".

Relationships with Other Characters:

Racket: Cheryl finds Racket adorable and wants to be his best friend. Unfortunately for her, he's terrified of ghosts.

Deerrain: Cheryl is quite fond of her younger brother and likes to hang out with him. She claims that she's not angry that Deerrain is partially responsible for her being in a ghost-like state, but this isn't completely true.

Saturn: Cheryl and Saturn get along well.

Cyrus: Cheryl thinks Cyrus is too serious and tries to get him to laugh more often to mixed results.

Matchi: Cheryl wants to be friends with Matchi, but the latter doesn't seem to notice her most of the time.

Cecil: Cheryl thinks that Cecil is mean, but isn't afraid of him.

Meevio: Cheryl and Meevio are good friends.

Pocky: Cheryl and Pocky are good friends.
