Kiania

Physical Appearance

Normal Ribbi form is a salmon-colored form with two long "ears" on her head that droop outward, two little arms on the sides with three "fingers" each, and some "feeler feet" on the bottom that allow her to walk (or squiggle across the ground). Her ears are actually symmetrical, but she almost always keeps her right one curled behind her head, so it has a rounded appearance from the front. Curling one ear tends to help her focus on certain elements of magic, and it is common to see Ribbi of certain magic disciplines curling one ear or the other to better "listen" to their respective elemental spirits. Master magi usually don't need to curl their ears unless preferred. Kiania is very small in height and is only about 1 foot tall (closer to 1 1/4 feet with ears factored in).

• Long salmon-colored "hair" that is actually part of her ears still; it feels somewhat like hair but is mostly the same mass, and cutting it will hurt but it will grow back like a tentacle over time (same effect in Ribbi form, only it does not feel like hair at all and is undeniably part of her body)
• Magenta eyes
• Fair skinned with a rather rosy/pink-ish complexion
• Short in height
• Relatively fit with a slim frame and an undeveloped figure

Clothing Style

In her normal Ribbi form, her belt is her only acessory. It is a simple thin band with a blue gem in the center that goes around her "waist" area.

In her humanoid form, Kiania wears typical robes/dresses of Kiamian Magi, which includes many overlapping layers and/or folds. Her outfits typically have a sleeveless top, an open midriff where she wears her belt, and a long skirt along with sandals. She tends to choose light blues or purples most often for colors. She also wears her "hair" up with some bands to tie the right side into a side bun/bundle of sorts.

Personality

Kiania is an honest and loyal young magic student who is always a few paces behind her older sister to provide some practical advice to her enthusiasm. She tends to take her magic studies very serious, although sometimes she takes them too seriously and ends up being a little volatile with her magic when she focuses too hard. Unlike her sister she's not quite as headstrong about learning new things and prefers to build her knowledge first or perfect what she does know before moving on to other things. In a sense her sister is eager to be a jack of all trades while Kiania is more interested in being highly skilled in a few things rather than okay at many. She tends to be rather quiet around others whom she doesn't know very well. If the stranger seems pleasant enough, Kiania will simply be shy, but if the stranger doesn't make a good impression she'll often poutily give them the silent treatment. She is always honest to the point of being blunt, and she's not always the best at keeping secrets for this reason. However, she has a good heart and values the relationships she forges with others, so she is a stalwart friend and ally to have in your corner despite her small size and lack of experience.

• Normal form is small and light weight, and her humanoid form is a rather light weight for a "human" too
• Aside from her rifting and magic, she has few means of defending herself

Backstory

Kiania was born and raised in the small village of Kosela, which is in the middle-region of Kiami's mainland near the gulf where the Kiami Fortress island is located. Since the village was closest to where the Kiami Spirits gathered, the Ribbi Magi of Kosela are typically very attuned to the magics of their planet, and Kiania along with her older sister, Kiatia, were no exception.

However, Kiania's training to hone her rifting and magic has barely even started before Kiami's long-standing peace is shattered when the neighboring planet of Lynxith is destroyed by the Demriles and war is waged on Kiami. She and her sister end up unintentionally being pulled into a teleportation spell cast by Kiama to escape and request help from Lord Dalia, yet they all ended up on Taliac due to interference from the invaders. The two simple Ribbi end up playing a larger role in fighting for their world's freedom than they ever would've expected.
