Hazel Natsuki's Links
At first, Lux is an annoyance to Hazel -- but when his usually morbid humor doesn't scare Lux off, he's taken such off guard that he starts opening up to them.
By the time that the Fall Arc starts in DRcade2, he sees Lux as one of his very few, but very close, friends, and even allows Lux to proclaim themself as his 'wingman' when discussing his feelings towards his crush. (it's still cheesy though, he'll say.)
Unfortunately, however, Hazel loses his memories some time after, bringing their friendship back to square one. Still, there are times where, during especially silly banters between the two, it feels all too familiar to him...
Over the course of DRcade2, Lux became surprisingly close to Hazel, providing him the ability to speak about his worries. They care about him a lot, and even are blinded temporarily by their own feelings when approaching the mystery of who murdered Hazel in the game.
Post-game, Lux still tries to keep in touch with him, though given the fact that he doesn't remember the game's events, is taking their friendship slowly.
Before losing his memories, Nikola was an alright person, no one particularly special to him. He respected them enough to at least tone down the humor sometimes though -- a feat in and of itself.
Post-game, he views Nikola as a parental figure, and is generally unaware of the greater scheme of things due to his lack of memories. With time though, as he remembers? Who's to say...
Nikola trusts Hazel's grandparents, and respected their decision not to inherit their fortune to the company upon their deaths. Because of this, in post-game, they've taken Hazel under their wing, and vows to give Hazel the normal life that his grandparents would have wanted.
Michi is Hazel's childhood friend, who was a breath of fresh air from the otherwise pressuring and strict upbringing Hazel had. So when the two of them are brought into the game, and the game instructs him to kill him...Hazel spends the first two arcs dreading what's to come.
But, by the fall trial, his interactions with Michi change his feelings on how to approach the game. If the rules say that the seasons just need to pass, then what's stopping him from making both Fall and Winter 'pass'? What's stopping from saving the person who, ultimately, he's come to love dearly
Unfortunately, Hazel fails to kill the winter representative, and loses his memories...or, so it seems. Perhaps by a whim of fate, or something else, Hazel's memories still slumber somewhere deep down. And though it'll take time for him to remember everything, there's one thing he knows for certain -- and that's the feelings that he has towards Michi.
Hazel doesn't talk to Missile often, but he's warmed up to him due to the time he spends with Michi. He occasionally joins Missile and Michi's 'Fortnite Nights', and while he doesn't admit it vocally, enjoys having something break up his otherwise eventless life that Nikola's been trying hard to preserve.
Missile likes Hazel a lot! Not only is Hazel patient, he tells Missile some pretty funny jokes, and joins him and Michi's game night too. He can tell that there's something makes Hazel uneasy when interacting with Michi, but hasn't pressed on the matter if only due to having a shared experience with himself and Holly.
Though Hazel struggles to remember what Solstice looks like, they have an easier time recognizing when Solstice interacts with them, and can sometimes recall their conversations. Because of this, Hazel lends Solstice an ear whenever they need it. Often jokes that Solstice is 'another ghost' that's haunting the place, mainly for his own amusement, but also to protect them from being found out.
Solstice likes Hazel's morbid humor, and thinks he's a great guy to hang out with. They can tell that something troubles him, so just as much as he provides an ear to them, Solstice does the same for him when needed. Goes along with the ghost cover for the sake of the memes involved - though it also makes it easier for Hazel's friend, Michi, to also understand.
