PERSONALITY:

Amirah’s an energetic and excitable person, often needing to restrain himself from moving a lot in place as they get antsy quickly. He tries to calm down and act cool with people they haven’t met before for that to be their first impression of him, but sometimes they can’t keep it up if he’s feeling too emotional in the moment.

They don’t often consider all the routes in a decision and go in headstrong with the one he’d like to do more. This results in them getting upset easily when things don’t come out right and taking a while to be okay again. He will want to get what he wants though- and they won’t stop until they got it.

HISTORY:

Amirah was born with their twin sister, Yohana. His parents were from the Philippines, but had decided to move to Canada before they had kids and so Amirah had lived here for most of their life. The twins were close, though seemed to fight each other every now and then as they grew up. When they got old enough, Amirah attempted to convince their family to let him move out. They agreed, on the condition that they would need to visit them whenever he could. It irritated Amirah, but went with the compromise to get away from their parents for now. And so, Amirah found themself staying in Mirstone, leaving Yohana with their parents...

Amirah heard of the Beacon Company while wandering around town and finding the game cafe. As they were looking into any ongoing or starting DnD sessions inside, he started hearing about people going to other worlds...like literally and not just in games. Rescuing and helping others from there too... It sounded so fake, but they were intrigued and looked more into it, finding out it was real. Magic was real and this place had people with magic and going to other dimensions just like stories he had read.

It was fantastical and amazing. The potential dangers of the job scared them for a brief moment, but the possibilities of all that he could experience out there? It somehow sealed the deal for them. To the point that he didn’t even want to finalize the whole wish thing- there was so much to wish for! But they didn’t need it to start working for the company. Maybe he’ll figure it out later, perhaps something related to appearances… But this was a wonderful opportunity that he just had to get into as soon as they could!

And so he did just that- and more, because rent wasn’t great to deal with all by themself. He started taking up actual cafe work first to get some payment, assuming that any rewards they could get from other worlds wouldn't work here, and placed up an ad to get a roommate. In a few weeks, Kita arrived and Amirah was glad to have new company, though it was a little awkward at first. He couldn't have kept quiet about the Beacon Company now! It was such an opportunity to experience so much more than this world could give- they tried to sell it well to his new roommate. After a visit to the place itself, they got to convince her to join in and so they officially did it together.

And so it begins.
