GENDER: MaleOrigin: Earth
WEIGHT: 143 lbs
PRONOUNS: He/Him
ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good
OCCUPATION: Tattoo Artist Apprentice

PERSONALITY:

Daniel likes to be nice. Pleasant for people to be with, no reason to hate him with a passion whatsoever. It doesn't mean that people can't dislike him, he just believes that treating most people nicely will be better in the long run. He doesn't often open up to others right away, preferring to keep a bit of distance until he can assess for himself if they would be someone he'd want to be around. He's not one to react in exaggeration, often restraining his feelings from showing visibly if he can so as to not offend or bother.

Sometimes he ends up lost in thought, staying quiet while doing something as his mind just thinks and thinks, needing to be snapped out of it if wanting a proper response from him. In rare cases, if he really dislikes someone, he may act like this on purpose to "ignore" them. Depending on how much he needs to tolerate the person's presence, Dan may even consider outright leaving the area so that he wouldn't end up giving them the reaction they might want.

Overall, he likes to play things safe. Though some risks could be taken, he'd rather take in all the options before choosing what would less likely affect anyone negatively. A con is the occasional tendency to be "frozen in fear" when the situation could be dire, and none of the potential routes seem to be "nice".

HISTORY:

Born in the Philippines yet moved to America at a young age, Daniel had quite a time as a kid needing to get used to the different countries when family reunions were to occur. It wasn't too common, and he would stick around his parents the most as all the other relatives always felt a bit like strangers to him. Although, whenever he was left with the other kids, he'd find one of his younger cousins to be... Nicer to be around than the others. Calmer, despite still being excitable and always doodling things on her own. He'd spend time with her, sometimes even getting to doodle on her papers with her, and they would make little stories together. Riley was nice, and Dan did his best to treat her nicely at every family gathering. Though he was young, he couldn't help but feel something was off when it was time to leave. Riley would seem to force a smile when being with her parents, more so with her father, but he wasn't sure what it meant and could barely express it to his own parents. Maybe they could do something- especially since his dad was the brother of Riley's mom.

Next time they would meet, though, he'd find that they adopted a sibling to Riley- Urami, who was even more timid but seemed to be a sweetheart. Daniel attempted to get to know them, but... Riley didn't seem too happy about it, and it confused him for a while. He'd only find out later when, suddenly, their family was moving in with Dan's in America, and it was only Riley, Urami, and their mother. He's aware that he was young back then, he couldn't have completely understood it all, but if he had been able to learn more about how hurt they were and the conflict between the siblings...maybe he could have done more the help. At least, with how they were now living together, maybe he could make up for what he didn't do.

On the other side of things, though, Daniel had been going to school in America. Besides the usual classes, he enjoyed the theater class most and had a few friends. One of them even grew beyond friends- she was playful, energetic, outgoing... Pushed him to his limits more than once, but he was fine with it. They had their fun times. Despite all of that, the spark that started it never really grew. He eventually decided to break up the relationship, thinking they would be fine as just friends, but how she reacted left a lingering pain inside. Dan hadn't meant to hurt her, he tried to explain himself, but there he was. Hurt.

It made him think about his life so far. Outside of becoming like an older brother figure to his cousins, it... Didn't really seem like he was doing much at his age. It wasn't that big of a deal in hindsight, but his parents started to pester him about things now and then. What was he doing for a job, how can he contribute to the family- valid questions, but it was starting to get on his nerves. Staying in the same household didn't help either, so he began looking for a way out. Urami was much more capable of themself now, Riley was growing up better here than before, he can... He can move out without being too worried about their well-being. After a bit of research, Daniel found out about Mirstone, looked into it a little more before finalizing his decision to move out. Promising to call his cousins now and then so that they'd still be in touch, he packed up and made the trip into Canada.

He got an apartment to live in for the meanwhile, getting a job as a cashier at one of the many Tim Hortons present in the area... It was good enough for what he wanted. But there could have been more to spice up his life a little. And soon, he found it in Cafe Phantasia. He got interested in the cafe after hearing it was also a place to play DnD and the likes. It reminded him of when he and his cousins would make characters and act out stories for fun. But upon further investigation, he learned about the Beacon Company and how they help people from other dimensions... Dan needed more time to actually comprehend the information. He wanted something to spice his life, yes, but an entire multiverse suddenly being a thing he was aware of with this? Gods were real, and magic is also real. It all just...

Daniel took his time contemplating it. The thought of helping others, saving those in need was tempting. But the possibilities from being in all these other worlds... Getting hurt, not just physically but mentally? Who knows what he'd see, what he'll experience in there. What was it that convinced him to join eventually? The wish benefit. They can make a wish for their god of a boss to make real at some point, or so he heard. There were certain limitations, but what he wanted didn't sound like it would be denied. Riley and Urami... They're dear to him, even more than their parents. If he could be sure that they'll be just fine, he would go with almost anything they'd make him do to make that wish come true.

Time to have more than just a normal life.

WISH: For his cousins to have good lives

HOBBIES: Dancing, occasional prop and costume making, acting, story writing

LIKES: His cousins, lo-fi, chillstep, chillhop music, dnd podcasts

DISLIKES: Being useless, "karens", hot weather, carbonated drinks

EXTRA INFORMATION: Dan used to help pick up his cousins from the school they were attending when they lived together. He can also play the piano a little, but not to the point of making his own songs or reading music sheets, just memorizing specific songs and could randomly play them if given a chance.
