Pearl

"The room was suddenly dead silent. Apollo was so overwhelmed from all the new experiences that it took him a moment to realize the mood had changed. When he turned his head he saw yet another dragon species he had never seen before. Front and centre stood a tall, elegant dragon covered head to toe with fur and feathers, all except her chest plates, horns and the occasional scales scattered about her body. She was accompanied by two guards who stood close to her, but far enough back to make it clear that elegant pink one was in charge. Apollo overheard the students murmuring around him, the words "fairy dragon" and "princess" were thrown around, but he couldn't tell if their tones were that of amazement or fear. "

Pearl (full name "Pearlside") is royalty from a kingdom far west in the floating islands. There the fairy dragons live in relative wealth and surround themselves with nice things such as treasure, art and academics. However she is sent to the Dragonic Academy as a punishment for not taking her royal duties seriously. While Pearl loves her kingdom and its community, she hates all the rules that come with it, and how close minded and shut in the species are in relation to other dragons. While her family would love for her to stand around looking beautiful and partaking in outdated traditions, Pearl just cannot sit still. Her mind is her greatest asset and she wants nothing more than to travel to as many schools and libraries as possible. And so Pearl learnt from a young age that maybe she could use reverse phycology on her parents. For years she kept her love of learning and exploration a secret from her family, and then when the moment was right, she completely bungled a very important royal event and pretended that being sent away from home "to learn some manners" would be the absolute worst thing in the world. Her plan worked.

Pearl can accidentally forget about her privilege growing up as a royal and can sometimes be hard to approach. She isn't quick to trust, but out of ignorance she can get things wrong.
Fairy dragons cannot breath fire due to the altitude, but she possesses mild levitation abilities. The armour she got from the academy enhances these abilities, as well as granting her other telekinetic powers.

DRAWING NOTES:
The majority of her body is Fur and Feathers. The only exceptions being her wing membranes and paws. The fur gradually transitions into scale the further down the leg it goes.
She also has gold scales spotted about the body in between all the fur and feathers.
