"Now, we don't want you flying off into the sun now, do we?" A motherly figure to him in one of his past cycles. But Orion was reckless. Would often let his hands graze against the luminance of the sun. So Cleo got rid of the problem- after all, with no wings, he can’t get himself killed, can’t *leave*. Safe and comfortable in the palm of her hand, where she will be able to watch him. Control him. It was born from the roots of good intentions, but the way she went about it left some noticeable missing pieces. Orion simply wasn’t the same without memories of flight and the sky. For all her efforts to control him, he … slipped through her fingers, to say the least.
hgh. Is unsettled by her. Orion was once under the watchful eye of Cleo. She looked out for him, meant to protect him. But she ended up taking what was most valuable to him in an effort to save him from himself - his freedom. It ended... poorly. After all, he ties his happiness to being free. Trying to force him to simply give that up leaves him a hollow shell of the carefree spirit. And he would rather be *dead* than live without his freedom.
"How have you been, dear Detective? You look as exhausted and disgruntled as ever! Still chasing dead ends, are you?" One of the few people to ever attempt to contest her vision and tight control. He has a habit of finding what she prefers to keep lost. Those who are unwilling to play their parts in her perfect world will inevitably find themselves [REDACTED] from the stage.
(She also keeps stealing his dear friends, it’s very funny.)
"Shut up. WHERE did you put them."
Scum of the earth. The complete antithetical to everything he stands for. Despises her for the actions she took in his second cycle, and while that left him with little memory of the event, the grudge remains.
"Silly Lyn, I'm your ONLY friend. :)" Employer to Lin in one of his later cycles. Filled the unfortunate void the death of his dear friend, Casey, left. Gave him everything he could ever want- the attention he always sought, love, affirmation, and acknowledgement. All she asked for was a little help on her project! When Lyn tried to leave... well. That's simply not allowed! Locked him away in her basement to keep taking that precious honey blood of his. Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss.
"yeah... haha. ..." Was once friends with Bree. For a time, they had a nice bond together, but even then there were certain things lurking in the background. When Bree asked Lyn for some help on her vision for the town, he became... wary. It seemed like his value lay only in his blood and his effectiveness as a tool rather than a valued friend. And if there’s one thing he hates most, it’s the feeling of being used. Tried to leave, but got locked in a dream bubble of sorts to prevent that.
"What's the matter, friend? He's gone now, and won't be filling your head with nonsense anymore. Everything is going to be ok..." Cleo, a past cycle of Bree, was friends with Holly. She promised to help him find someone important to him! But as she typically does, the love and care she offers come at the cost of keeping him very close by. When Maestro entered the picture and tried to take him away, well, that simply wouldn't do. You understand that he had to be removed from the stage. With him gone, things could go back to the way they were.
Bree's trusted confidant. Aster is always there to find her, cycle after cycle and guide her back to her empire. Someone must keep the darker secrets buried, who better than your best friend? It's all for the sake of her vision. But all good things must come to an end..
Bree is someone Aster has worked with for quite a while. She has carried out every necessary mission, every sacrifice and behind the scenes work to maintain the stage Bree has set in her vision. Anytime Bree is around, her right hand man is normally close by, even if out of sight. She is possibly one of Bree's trusted allies...however, despite her beliefs, Aster does not truly work for her. Like all pawns, every action counted is for the sake of the true narrative, and the narrative never stays in your favor for long...
Poor little Mono…. Don’t worry. Everything is going to be ok… if you have trouble choosing, Bree knows the right choice for you!
Mono's constant indecisiveness quickly disappeared after Bree took him in.
Whether it was something as simple as choosing what to eat for lunch that day or choosing what to do with his free time, Bree has always been there to guide him to make the right choices.
He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he ever lost her . .
Fickle, but useful.
Role was very fun to play, work expectations were fair, business relationship was acceptable.
Menial work was ok but quickly made the experience boring.
3/5 stars.
