Kanami Shissei

Kanami is one of three members of Kanpekids, a group mostly focused on electropop and instrumental experimentation. He mostly provides vocals and plays simple instruments.
Kanami is a bit of an odd bird and comes off as very air-headed, though he's actually quite booksmart and matter-of-fact. For some things, he's very stubborn; for others, he's easily swayed. Sometimes he's hardworking and responsible, other times he's whiny and reluctant.

Kanami grew up in a poor family and had to take care of his younger siblings as his parents were earning money. He was a choir boy until another boy his age from an affluent family noticed him and made him his friend. The two of them became as close as brothers, and Kanami continues to hold him to a high regard. With the other boy's sponsorship, he enrolled in an idol school and went through several image changes, ultimately leaving the idol business afterwards.

Kanami met Eun during his younger days and they became friends due to some shared understandings as outsiders. Many years later, Kanami contacted Eun about an offer from Otohiko. Eun roped Mato in and the three of them formed a band. Their music is aimed at all ages, but especially  towards a younger audience; the message they want to send is that music  can give kids a place to belong.
Kanpekids! can often be  found walking into the toy aisle of a store and staging an impromptu jam session for inspiration, and then uploading the resulting footage to T*ktok or Inst*gram.

• He used to be quite sickly all the time, but eventually his body grew stronger thanks to exercise. Unfortunately when he gets sick now, he's knocked out pretty bad.
