Jack (+Squeegees)

Jack (not his real name) is the vocalist and guitarist of his own band, Squeegees. Gruff and a bit of a deadbeat, Jack tends to be judgmental about newcomers in the industry rather than encouraging. He'll quickly shut up when confronted with what he considers real skill, though.

Jack was once a member of the fairly well-known rock band Chair Ointment as a guitarist (under the name Penguin). Eventually, he became homeless due to a number of unfortunate life choices. He turned to street gigs in order to get by, under yet another pseudonym (Hayashi). A young Kaho came by to several of these performances, impressed but with no money to offer. She eventually started coming daily to bother him to teach her to play guitar; he agreed after he realized he could make a quick buck off of her. And so he taught her in exchange for her playing in his stead (and giving him most of the profit).

Years later, he managed to get off the streets and gathered some new band members. They were rejected by most labels until Otohiko came and picked them up. Squeegees is now the most popular rock group of the record label despire their rather niche and dated genre of rock. They become Zebra Stripe’s first rival due to the history between their leaders.

Grease is a woman of few words with a bit of a scary aura. She can be pretty aggressive and protective of the band, but if you’re on her good side, she’s quite loyal.

Duster’s definitely the friendliest and most talkative of the bunch. He makes up his less-than-sociable bandmates with his banter.
