Edward has no enhancements (and thus no setbacks to worry about), but he is very methodical and works behinds the seems to make sure the family's financial stability and legal books are in good working order, much like he always has done. He is loyal to the family name and reputation; he may not like the new leadership but he does care about the history. As long as the wealth and reputation are held up, he does not care. Any risk to it and he will do whatever it takes to...rectify the situation.
He is a bit of stickler for finances and is second only to Sybil for deadpan-snarkiness. He is also calm under pressure and not one to back away from a challenge or bet.
Edward Dante has been in the Dante family even before Darrion and Cana were born. He is the advisor to Ira and not only does he manage the household finances and books, but also arranges negotiations, employment, and dirty dealing with their allies.
He started out as a young accountant for the family, becoming a full fledged member, though sometimes working closely with Old Man Dante. He became embroiled in the coup de'tat when Sybil had used her information and genius mind to talk numbers; every single information she scrounged on the real estate of Monterose, which rival families to strike first, how to increase wealth through aggressive expansion caused him to see dollar signs. Thus through his wit and connections, he helped Sybil take over the computer networking system.
He certainly did not intend to have the entirety of the upper management of the Dante Family murdered, but that is exactly what happened, as led by Ira, the concubine. To reward him, he was given the upper title of Greed and became the top Advisor, his experience, wisdom, and many connections in the Monterose underground proved his value to Ira. With the new management the Dante Family flourished and any doubts he had about the profit increase to the family vanished.
 【Wrath: Ira Dante】Lady Dante He has a father/daughter relationship with Ira as well, often taking to scolding her and trying to handle most of her business and even her personal relationships. He admires her directness, bluntness and even her efficient cruelty; she is Conqueror and powerful leader. As long as she can be prevented from causing a war, he can handle everything else behind the scenes. He often smooths things over with their business partners when Ira proves to be too coercive; however, he is also the first to tell Ira when someone is plotting against them, making sure that any inkling of aggression is squashed before it began. |
 【Lust: Tristan Dante】The New Comer Originally, he voted for Tristan to be killed as soon as Ira brought him back to the manor. However, once Tristan was broken and became a family member, Edward started to see his uses; Tristan was a charmer and good looking. He could be used as a distraction and his killing ability was to be admired. He still dislikes that Tristans' presence essentially destroys any chance for Ira to marry someone from another powerful family, but that charm and the intense loyalty/addiction Tristan has with Ira means that if he would do whatever Ira told him too. To Edward, this is very valuable. |
 【Sloth: Sybil Dante】The Troublemaker He is utterly done with her pranks. At the same time, he deeply cares and admires Sybil; with her and Ira's help, he became a big player in the most powerful crime family of Monterose. He owes a lot of that to Sybil and tends to dote on her, despite all of her mischief. He often balks are the cost of all her toys and materials, but seeing their uses and how much information/firepower they provide, he still manages to get her what she needs. He even helps patent some of her inventions, giving them more protection once they are sold. |
 【Pride: Darrion Dante】Prodigal Son He originally saw Darrion as the next head of the family and old habits can die hard; he is Darrion's confidante and they often go out for drinks together since they are the ones with lives and jobs outside of the criminal underground. He treats Darrion with the utmost respect; while he can be snarky with Ira, he actually avoids it with Darrion due to the fact that he knew Darrion has a child. He and Darrion have a semi-father son relationship due to their shared past. However, he is aware that Darrion is not the head of the family and will remind everyone else of that fact. |
 【Envy: Cana Dante】Littlest Dante He often reminds Cana to respect Ira and gets exasperated when the younger woman picks a fight. He is another person who steps between Ira and Cana when things get too heated and he will often kick Cana out of business meetings because she is simply too immature to handle it. However, he was not opposed to her becoming an enforcer when she took the experimental drugs, seeing her skills of sniping were very profitable. However, beyond that she is still a child to him. |
 【Gluttony: Orsin Dante】The Reasonable One They vent together about Ira due to having frustrations with her. He wishes that Orsin was a little bit more like his sister, but is also grateful that he is not. He still watches over Orsin quite a bit, probably more so than Cana, due to the large man's too kind nature. |
