Tristan is inherently kind and charming. He enjoys cooking and baking because he likes to take care of people and enjoys making people around him smile. He is very friendly and is also a bit of a flirt and likes to use his looks and charms as a weapon, catching both men and women off guard. He has a keen eye and it's very easy for him to tell when someone is upset, generally being empathetic and tailoring his own reactions to the other person's comfort. He tends to avoid showing off negative emotions, usually brushing off insults with a smile. The worst he would do to respond is say a backhanded compliment or give a passive aggressive answer.
It's hard to make him upset, but once he reaches a breaking point, he becomes vicious in his barbs and nearly violent, especially if anyone insults his one and only, Ira. He may be kind, but he has grown to enjoy the hunt; he is sadistic and masochistic when fighting, using his looks and words to lower an opponents' guard before striking. He is also prone to mind games, even with Ira. He may be dashing and gentle, but behind that smile and big blue eyes is a Dante.
Tristan Dante, formerly Tristan Lamarr, was once a vigilante who sought to take down the criminal underground in Monterose city along with his guardian. His past was filled with neglect, molestation, and abuse, which lead him to develop a severe need to be wanted and loved, something that never went away from his childhood. This, along with his need for vengeance, caused a rift between his guardian, Seraph, drove him into the embrace of Ira Dante.
Who in turn, tortured, manipulated, and broke down his walls and inhibitions. They were both already in a passionate relationship that had budding signs of co-dependency and none of what Ira had done to him helped that.
He became a full-fledged member of the Dante family, having given himself completely to Ira in return for her love, body, power, security, essentially everything. He works not only as their honey pot and distraction but also as a very talented assassin, using his good looks and gentle demeanor to take down his targets. He gives his lovers/victims a loving embrace before stabbing them as deep as he could, fulfilling his constant Lust.
 【Wrath: Ira Dante】Lover/Master He loves her, is terrified of her, and addicted to her. He is co-dependent on Ira, often needing reassurance and guidance from her. While one could assume that this was due to what she did to him, Tristan always had co-dependency issues, often attaching to assertive figures, especially women. Though she is the dominant of the relationship, he is possessive of her and tugs on the short leash, not to escape, but to pull her down with him. Only he gets to see her vulnerable side and he loves that slight power over her. |
 【Gluttony: Orsin Dante】Big Bro Like most of the other sins, Orsin and Tristan get along. Both are care takers and Orsin is always there to try out the food and baked goods Tristan makes. Meanwhile, Tristan enjoys chatting with him and helping him clean Sybil's room. Though they don't have a lot in common, they are definitely becoming more like brothers, something Tristan enjoys. However, Tristan still feels guilty for trying what he once did to Orsin and Orsin, in general, feels guilty because of the fact he wasn't able to stop his sister from hurting Tristan. They both avoid the subject; for Tristan it would only cause resentment and he rather not make Orsin feel bad about anything else his sister does. |
 【Sloth: Sybil Dante】Partner in Crime Tristan is a natural care taker so he likes to keep Sybil company when Orsin and Ira are not around. He likes making her laugh and sometimes flirts with her. It amuses him when she responds oh so deadpan like and it became a game to see if he can make her blush just once. However it is nothing but platonic; the romantic he is, he thinks Orsin and Sybil are adorable together. He is often an accomplice to her pranks. |
 【Pride: Darrion Dante】The Asshole The one sin he does not get along with for many reasons. Tristan and Darrion have more of a frenemy relationship; they are both part of the family and work together on a professional level, on a personal level, insults and barbs are thrown between them. Tristan KNOWS that Darrion has feelings for Ira and Tristan uses his very physical relationship with Ira to get under Darrions' skin. No matter how perfect Pride is, Lust gets to have Wrath and that will be a sticking point between the two. |
 【Envy: Cana Dante】Little Princess/Brat He likes kids and while he knows logically that she is a teenager, he can't help but pat her on the head or give her piggyback rides. She doesn't seem to mind so he gets away with it. She tries to flirt with him but she is so innocent and awkward (despite her very colorful vocabulary) that he doesn't take her seriously, seeing her only as a little sister. |
 【Greed: Edward Dante】Professional Liason Their relationship is mostly professional. Edward is not a fan of the fact that Ira has Tristan as a lover, but he can appreciate how skilled the young man is. Tristan is more wary of the older man, knowing that Greed had wanted him dead instead of part of the family. However, he does appreciate the older mans' sense of style and for the most part they get along. |
