As the Head of the Dante Family, Ira is poised as confident, authoritative, charming, witty and most of, ruthless. She controls her family and her city with a forceful fist and a powerful will. No one questions her and not just because of her effectiveness, but also because of the extremes of her emotions; Ira is volatile. She is like a flame; warm, passionate and bold one moment, unquenchable, destructive, and sadistic the next. She can easily switch from sharing a calm dinner and funny joke with someone to pummeling them into a paste the next, all while laughing.
Her cunning and this brutal aspect of her personality, a result of her past as a child soldier, makes her a conqueror; the PTSD, insomnia, and obsessiveness that came from that past made her unstable. She has sworn to protect her brother and make sure that no one will prevent that, thus a motivation for becoming Wrath and becoming the leader of now the most powerful Mob Family in Monterose. Most people are beneath except for the other sins, whom she sees as her family, as dysfunctional as it is.
Ira Dante, formally Ira Chideke, is the Head of the Dante Family, the most powerful family in Monterose. She rules with an iron fist and has waged many wars with the various mobsters, crime lords, and gangs that once in order to secure her power and put her beloved family at the top.
She had a very brief and peaceful childhood until her parents were murdered, her sister abandoned her and she and her little brother were forced to be child soldiers. She had experienced many traumatic and horrible experiences that have twisted her psyche until she mental and emotional broke during an operation that resulted in the loss of her arm. Deemed lame, the two were sold to the former head of the Dante family for illegal experimentation.
The Old Man Dante took an unfortunate liking to her and tried to groom her with the intent of marrying once their 'relationship' was no longer frowned upon. He did not know that Ira had been planning a coup with Sybil, Darrion, and Edward. She was also not pleased that the old man was planning on selling her brother. During their fateful wedding night, Ira murdered the old man and the coup was launched with blood, violence, and success.
She ruled Monterose for over ten years and now with the addition of her beloved Tristan, the Sins are complete and her power seemed more resolute than ever. No matter what depravity, what crime she must commit, as long she has what she wants, as long as her family is powerful and most of all, SAFE, the cost is well worth it.
 【Lust: Tristan Dante】Lover/Obsession Tristan is her lover, soul mate, pet, possession. Though their relationship is physically open, she is emotionally bound to him; when her nightmares become too much, he is there it help pick up the pieces, even if she hurts him. She loves him, but it is a damaging love; her volatile temper and her obsession with keeping him are unhealthy and abusive and they are both heavily co-dependent on each other. |
 【Gluttony: Orsin Dante】Little Brother Her beloved little brother. Ira and Ori are quite close and Ori is one of the few people that Ira treats with genuine compassion and love. However, he has seen her at her worst and he is not immune to her volatile moods. She may not hurt him, but if pushed too far, she will remind him of her sacrifices for him. Protecting Ori was the main motivation for much of her life and it will continue to be so. |
 【Sloth: Sybil Dante】Best friend Ira respects and trust Sybil; in fact Sybil maybe the one family member she has a healthy relationship with, probably recognizing that the two of them are two sides of the same coin. Their relationship is both professional and friendly, with Ira enjoying the relationship between Sybil and Orsin. The two hardly clash, though when they do, Ira typical has her way...but not from force. Sybil is too weak and apathetic to expend the energy. It doesn't stop Ira from specifically asking Sybil for input, showing she values her opinion. |
 【Pride: Darrion Dante】Right Hand Man Ira is quite close to Darrion; he is a valued family member and often joins her during negotiations. She considers him her right-hand man and her eyes on the police; he keeps them away from except for a few key corrupt cops. She is somewhat aware of his feelings for her but due to his resemblance to his father and to the fact that Darrion keeps her at arms' length, nothing came of it. She is also aware of this causing tension between Darrion and Tristan and finds that really irritating. |
 【Envy: Cana Dante】Little Sister/Brat Ira find Cana amusing and enjoys teasing her. She knows that Cana tries to kill her and yet mostly shows affection towards her. Only rarely does Cana succeed in annoying Ira and in those moments, Ira will lash out. She also knows that no matter how much Cana may hate her, they are family; Cana could not bring herself to kill her. |
 【Greed: Edward Dante】Most Trusted Advisor Edward is like the aloof father Ira never had. She trusts him and enjoys his company, though she finds his scolding overbearing and condescending. She treasures his ability for negotiations and his connections, though finds he is too successful; because of him and his ability to help them gain wealth and allies, there are hardly any fights. Ira is not used to being peaceful, preferring aggression and conquest. Still she admires that about him. |
