Ai is very social and exciteable. He loves talking to people about literally anything and adores meeting new people. He would do anything to work as a cupid again.
Ai is autistic, and their biggest special interest is romance. She has a lot of vocal stims as well.
Ai’s biggest strength is their ability to be positive. He can find the silver lining in any situation no matter how dire, and always has the strength to summon a smile. There isn’t a pessimist bone in his entire body, even during his worst experiences. He truly believes that one day he’ll be able to return to working as a cupid.
Despite not working officially as a cupid anymore, Ai still spends most of his time researching and compiling notes on people around him. He does not break the rules and try to do anything official, but he can’t resist the temptation of his greatest passion. They will talk about their notes to any breathing thing that asks.
The only thing Ai yearns for most in the world is to be able to work as an official cupid again. He doesn’t even necessarily want his eye back or anything, if there were a way for her to work as a cupid then they’d be happy. His biggest regret is leaving without a fight, and he sometimes tries to find reasons to get himself re-accepted into cupid society.
On the flip side of constantly staying positive, Ai has a terrible habit of repressing every negative emotion and feeling that they experience. He does not like dwelling on anything ‘ugly’ and upsetting, to the point that it sometimes boils over and triggers a meltdown. Sometimes she has the bad habit of trying to get others to ignore negative things as well.
Ai has a bad habit of forgetting people find it creepy when he studies them. She is also terrible about personal space, always getting up close and personal with people she’s just met. He’ll ramble on to someone about their potential love life and other strings without considering that it might be weird.
Every day that goes by without Ai working as a cupid brings him closer and closer to his biggest fear that he simply never will again. Each day ‘wasted’ not working brings him stress and worsens his fear. Everytime he sees another cupid working he is filled with such jealousy and anxiety that he can’t handle it and suppresses it once again.
story
i was born in a cupid community as the fourth of five children, himself being the middle triplet with one older sister. Their parents weren’t around much so they relied on Phoenix, the oldest sibling, to take care of them. He was closest with the youngest triplet, Fiona, and the two of them would often sneak out and talk about their dream of becoming official cupids.
n one of Ai’s secret outings by himself, he happened to meet Brooks. Brooks was interesting not only because he could actually see Ai, but he was also a merfolk creature and had the most strings attached to him that Ai had ever seen. Not one to fight impulses, Ai befriended Brooks easily. The two of them became inseparable fast, constantly secretly meeting up despite their various reasons not to.
Fiona was the only one of Ai’s family to have met Brooks, although over the years she slowly stopped sneaking out with Ai and didn’t see him very often. She didn’t tell on Ai until she thought she had to, when he was banned.

hen Ai turned 17, they officially began working as a cupid, as was customary for their species. Ai had been looking forward to this moment his entire life, although it didn’t last long.
Exiled
On Ai’s first official outing as a cupid, he broke one of their biggest rules. Ai had always believed that the cupid superstition that Demons couldn’t feel love had to be false, and set out to proof his theory right, using a Demon couple he’d seen before. In retaliation for ‘trying to meddle’, the two Demons gouged out his eye, thus stopping him from being able to use most of his powers
Due to the breaking of one of their biggest rules, and the lack of powers from the missing eye, Ai was exiled from his community and forbidden from ever working as a cupid or returning. They moved in with Maya shortly after.

Style Ai will wear nearly anything pink. He prefers to wear crop tops and things with boob windows to showcase their cupid markings. They constantly wear heels, and don't like the feeling of 'flat' feet anymore. He mostly prefers feminine clothing as opposed to masculine clothing, completely uninterested in gender.

The white markings on his body are completely natural, and glow faintly. Every cupid has markings that varies heavily, although it's rare to have facial markings like Ai does. The only scar on Ai is their eye, it's completely missing due to being gouged out and there are scars around the eyelid from the attack as well.
Ai does not have any piercings or daily jewelry, although she does wear different jewelry pretty often. Anything that can be described as "lovecore" essentially. She also has a lot of different eyepatches, most homemade, to match various outfits, events, and holidays. Most of them are heart shaped, though.
