personality
Despite being annoyed easily, Atticus prefers to hide his emotions and be as kind to everyone as he can. He has a bad habit of focusing on other people's needs rather than his own, a problem that has prevailed his entire life.
Atticus is socially and romantically awkward; he will not confess first and will not notice flirting.
Atticus has an incredible ability to read other peoples true intentions and feelings, even if it doesn’t match up with their actions. He is an observer at heart, but cares deeply about others and will do everything in his power to try and help them. He is emotionally mature beyond his years.
Ever since enrolling in college, Atticus has not been able to indulge in his hobbies as frequently. While he used to skateboard often, he doesn’t have much time to do so anymore. He still does a lot of things on his phone, such as his rhythm games and reading webcomics, but he gets anxious if he is distracted from class for long.
The one thing Atticus wants most, is something that he can’t have anymore. A completely normal life. While he wouldn’t trade the people in his life for anything and loves his friends and family dearly, he secretly longs for a world in which they could’ve met under different circumstances.
The only thing that Atticus has found himself completely blind to when reading other people is their romantic intentions. He will not assume anyone is ever flirting with him no matter how obvious they make it. Even if he does notice, he will not think to take it seriously. It’s a mix of genuine unawareness, and anxiety from his past experiences.
Atticus’ worse habit is forgetting that other people can see him, and so he makes his every thought obvious through his facial expressions; even the negative ones. He is also terrible at remembering to take care of himself, and will forget to eat or sleep regularly unless reminded.
The thing that Atticus fears the most, the thing that keeps him up at night, his worst nightmare; being forgotten. Atticus gets anxious when people talk over him and ignore him, he gets worried when he’s sidelined. His worst fear is that he’ll eventually fade into nothingness, everybody moving on from him, too silent to be remembered.
story
tticus was born a triplet, and happens to be the oldest of the three. Unbeknownst to him, he was not treated the same as his siblings by their father. Aaron had only wanted sons and thus put Atticus on a pedestal. The two of them were close as Atticus grew up, getting more and more distant to the rest of the family. That is, until he came out as gay and his father abandoned the entire family for good.
ne Halloween, Atticus got lost from his siblings and in his search to find them ran into Maya Sweet, who helped him. The two of them quickly became friends and eventually were inseparable. Maya became his defender and Atty became her confidant. The two of them stayed close from then on, and despite being in a friend group in highschool remained the closest with each other.
The friend group consisted of them, Anthony Love, Styx Brennan, and Belle Darnell. It was the five of them against the world; that is until everything went wrong in their senior year.
"Something you love turns to something you miss"
is first love was Chris Villin, a boy he'd had a crush on for years. The two of them dated in their senior year, when Chris forced him to isolate himself from his group. Due to that and Anthony and Styx' very dramatic breakup, the group fell apart.
The Accident
At a graduation celebration party, Atticus finds out that Chris was not only dating him, but his sister Avis as well. He'd never truly been in love with Atticus, only using him because of his crush. The resulting argument between the three of them and a driver that had not been sober trying to take them home lead to the accident that caused Atticus to lose his voice.
Despite her involvement, Atticus has never blamed Avis for any of this.
appearance
Style Atticus prefers to wear comfortable things. Large sweaters, loose pants, etc. He almost always wears a turtle neck underneath his outfits in order to hide his neck scar. He enjoys adding silly socks to his outfits, and wearing mismatched shoes. He also wears fingerless gloves that he thinks makes him look cool, and paints his nails, although they're usually chipped.
Main Outfit
Current Reference
Atticus has two large scars. The more prominent one is the large scar across his neck, which he got in an accident and is the reason that he is completely mute. He covers this scar at all times. The second is a scar on his arm, claw marks that he recieved when he became Fire's anchor and it was revealed he gains any scars and injuries that Fire does.
Atticus has his septum and ears pierced. He uses a regular black coloured jewelry for his septum, and has a few different pairs of earrings he wears; although he favours the black crosses he wears almost daily. He also wears a necklace with a moon, matching with Maya's moon earrings.
